I cant really believe i lost my little beautiful 1.8 in tragic accident to lose it. It got my 7 years worth to work and back easily, picking people up, dating someone in Manchester where i'd be travelling to and from plus extra mileages to Blackpool, Liverpool, Chester, Loughborough, Lichfield, Birminghan ....You name it this car got me everywhere i ever dreamed to be! And it is the ONLY car i'd want back immediately....Though the 1.8 is well well underpowered in the world of double the power or x 10 etc!! It is beautiful!!! Insanely cost efficient and reliable! Parts cost nothing on these cars!!! And you'll never need to do much as so reliable too!!And though they are not super fast by any means, this video is just perfect!!! So so brilliantly enjoyable cars! I'd have one back any day!!
My grandpa have 4 door astra sedan with this engine, its great car for long roads

I had a 2003 vectra c, z18xel 110ps. Top speed 215 on the speedo, just before the redline at 6500tr/min. All day long, even at +200.000km. Still miss that car.
Make no about it!! I bought 1 of 58 left in the UK of the 2litre Turbo Bertoni Astras!!......Stunningly fast! But which one would i want?? I'd have the 1.8 right back!! Reliabilty, no running costs at all, and gets you everywhere every time!!! This video shows you don't need loads of power!! Beautiful car!

i have vectra B with 1.8 petrol engine 2001 260.000km and i have drive it till 215km/h the top speed its not 200 its the same engine same ps 125ps !
p.s i can prove it when ever u want !
These two cars have different ECUs. So the performance they might show isn't the same
@@smoothstate Both cars use Siemens Simtec 71 while Z18XE. If the Vectra B has the f17wr transmission, it may see 215.

@@skiego8963 u mnie sztuka z 2005 1.8 od 2017 roku jest w rodzinie i od tamtej pory to w zasadzie nie było żadnej chociaż średnio poważnej usterki poza jebniętym amortyzatorem i zeżartą przez rdze osłoną wydechu która po prostu odpadła xD
Trzeba się pilnować mocno z blacharką i regularnie zabezpieczać karoserie. Ma nalatane prawie 400k przebiegu więc olej pije na równo z gazem xd Ale mimo takiego przebiegu to nigdy nie zawiodła i wozi dupe dalej bez problemów

Nicht wirklich, es ist 4,27 Meter lang. Knapp 1.71 Meter breit und wiegt leer 1250 Kilogramm. Normale Mittelklasse zu damaligen Zeit.
Außerdem sind Opel-Motoren nicht die Leistungsfähigsten
