Jungle Brothers "Because I Got It Like That" (album version) 1988

- From the album "Straight Out The Jungle" (produced by Jungle Brothers and Todd Terry; Warlock Records, 1988).
The only version of this song I could find on UA-cam was the remix, so I thought I'd upload the original. I made this video by chopping up the footage from the remix video.
NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED!

This track is an evergreen Hip Hop gem…Ridiculously DOPE now as it was when I 1st copped ‘Straight Outta the Jungle’ Lp back in ‘88/‘99 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@ornsman they killed it on this with the Sly Stone sample for the beat and synthesizer
Jungle Brothers deserves alot Respect they started the whole Native Tongue Movement and birth alot of artist...
One of the best examples of a track from a time and a style that has aged incredibly well.
Straight out the jungle is low key a classic album, NO SKIPS. THATS HARD TO DO.
Damn I’m 52 and was 18 in 1988 , remember this so much and loved De La Soul too , great time
This was THE JAWN. The whole JBs first LP was super solid. Including all the 12"s, especially The Promo with Q-Tip.

It was on Video Music Box but didn’t get a ton of play. When they dropped Straight Out The Jungle I wore that tape out
This video had to be made YEARS after the song dropped. Look at the Fashion. And LENS. Hot SONG tho
It’s not even synced to the lyrics
Me neither. But, i missed those day's when the music & the video's were organic.
This never gets old !!!
The originators of Native Tongue!! 🔥🔥
I have this great memory of a house party in 1988 and all of us dancing to this track…
Damn all these years and its my first time seeing this video...
💯🗽👌🏾 I can jam to the Jungle Brothers as if they are new all over again. Classic Hip Hop...the days when videos were addictive.
Yeah those Smashing hip-hop brothers singing a classic song. And check out the scene when our city was a place were inter connections were just an everyday occurrence 🌟🌟✌🏾😉 Rock out Jungle brothers 🌹💯
The JBs looked (and sounded) like they were well in to the 90s in the 80s.
Got this when it first came out on cassette tape of course…parents had no idea what it was
15 years old in the park. ❤️

This is the best version. And that video is awesome, surreal even.
Warner Brothers really derailed these brothers! Pushed their 3rd album back years. A damn shame!

Am sure the singer was on stage last night with Sean Paul at Reggaefest in Milton Keynes..hes unique!
Wow!!! Didn't realise this whole album had been touched and produced by none other than the 'Hand of Todd' aka Todd Terry. Love my early days House music. It was actually The JB's that kinda first got me switched on to House music properly thanks to the obvious.....'I'll House u' The days when their was very little derogrtry crap aka bitches n hoes shit,no constant curse words or n*gga this n*gga that. Just funky laidback feel good positive and empowering Hip Hop the way it was eh. 30 years ago man. Wtf happened inbetween. It slowly became all prodominantly about the $$$$$$ I feel plus those bastard sampling laws that came into affect eventually. The beats are so wack these days plus the constant modern day vacoder voice synthesizer was cool in 1982 ie Afrika Bambaata-Planet Rock but gone into overkill in 2018 on mainstream commercial radio
One of the most underrated hip hip groups! This Joint is hard as hell! 🤎🤎🤎
good job brother. i respect that. one of my favorite songs from the jbs. my man!
