  • A routine DC-3 delivery to the High Arctic goes awry after harsh weather rolls in. The pilots are forced to find a landing strip and then begin working to restart the plane in the deliberating cold. They set off again but again they are forced into emergency landing.

A "precautionary" landing. Not an "emergency". This is a great series, don't spoil it with your clickbait titles.

Joe's management style: "F the employee in favor of profit. Even if the employee is a family member."

The courier driver should treat the packages gently. I can't tell you how many packages I've received that were broken in shipment.

Damage likely at sorting center...I've been to local UPS center and watched packages fall off conveyor, get picked up, bounced off upright structure and land on belt 20' away....FRAGILE marked all over box....employees yelling "score !!!"

Some of the most irritating episodes of the series. Joe might be a hardass micromanager, but Duane was a 'nobody knows what they 're doing here and I am the great white hope' kind of manager, The problem is Duane is no leader.

Get Duane out with the aircraft, fly him to company destinations so he can "enjoy" the frustrations the pilots have with weather, loading, unloading, calculations of weight and balance, fuel calculations and the everyday ops of a freight airline.

Can’t say I like Dwayne-he doesn’t understand a company’s greatest assets are its employees and that Buffalo is a lot like a family.

Poor Duane. I have my own reservations about him but he's walking into a company that's already suffering with nepotism as well as a boss that motivates by losing his temper. We'll see. Either way hat's off to Joe for sticking to it all these years.

I have worked as a PM for quite a few Companies.
Anyone not being introduced and then looking at company paper work is out the door really fast.
There is no reason for Stomp speeches either. I heard them all and regardless how Senior you are, you always start as an apprentice. You need to appreciate the special flavors before you change the ingredients.

I wonder if Gord Cooley has a brother Jim Cooley. On Coast Guard Alaska show there's a pilot named Jim Cooley. It's probably very possible. Jim being the younger brother seeing his older brother become a pilot in the North West Territories... and seeing all the work it took for him to become a pilot. But still in awe if his older brother and wanting to a pilot because of watching his brothers career... Then wanting to become a pilot himself... looked into other ways he too could become a pilot & came across the Coast Guards as being a very good opportunity to be able to get his pilots license. Or well in his case a helicopter license.

Yup, noticed it right away. I've no idea if a DC3's tire in that condition is servicable or not.
Never saw any such tire deterioration on Phantoms or F-16, but those are higher loaded compared to a DC3's fat tires.
