Roland MC-707 Groovebox With Sampling

- Roland's new MC-707 is a powerful groovebox. The MC-707 features 8 tracks that can each be full drum kits, a synthesizer or looper. The MC-707 can put together full tracks with its powerful sequencing and effects. To test out the sampler we decided to sample some of our own videos and a few others.
The MC-707 comes with 80 drum kits including the classic Roland TR machines. The synth engine has 64 voice polyphony with four oscillators per voice that feature both analog style waveforms and PCM samples.

That’s some of the best music I’ve ever heard for a gear demo Man.
the best video for this groove box
This is why I've bought mine. Fucking excellent.
*_Great demo and excellent sample tracks !_*
Excellent size to playability ratio 👍🏾
So sick!
Perfect circuit - the best! Love you. 👍👍👍👍👍superb channel.
can you maybe clarify: i heard the machine uses samples for the drums and on other side i read its synthesized drums by the zencore (similar to acb) so what is correct now? and second question: how can i sample in mono via usb? it seems there is no way or i am to dump to find it ^^
third and last question: i am think about to buy a midikeyboard for control the internal synth. are all parameters playable via midi? i thought maybe to buy the m audio code 25 or 49 or maybe the behringer motör 49 for that purpose. but that makes just sense when i can control the parameters via midi.
Cool Baseck demo...can you get him to do a new video with the new Sampling features 👊🏼™️💕
Sold! Best demo on UA-cam! The looper is awesome, but can one put triggers on the sequencer and remix it on the fly?
Hello, how did you make the hi hat triple time?
Can you compose a song and record it?
If yes, can you record to 2-3 tracks so it can be edited/mixed on a DAW later?
Or can you SEQUENCE a composition, where all changes are recorded live?
What I'm hoping to do with this, is make music on it, and then edit/mix it later on a daw
1:59 and 3:16 pure RDJ 🥰
was allready convinced, but 1:20 seconds in ,... i must have it now!
Quick question if you sample 30 seconds of a full song are you able to extract each part of thst song and assign it to a different pad or are you able to use the the volume faders to isolate each track
Thanks in advance e
that footwork track is pretty good, just make more footwork tracks
agreed
Baseck slipping those works into these demos recently and loving it
Long live footwork
This make me wonder: is it possible to use the scatter functions on specific tracks? Or output the mix with the scatter effect to a new track? That would be a huge way to modify samples that are brought in. =D
If I remember correctly from a video review I watched of this, it does have separate scatter functions per track!
@@boarthefighter WOOOOOOOW
If I’m understanding the manual correctly then yes you can but it looks like it would take a bit of menu diving to switch between tracks. On the plus side you can step sequence the scatter effects which really opens this up to creativity.
Hey, if I wanted to make a planet rock type of beat would it be possible with this machine?
Yes indeed.
1:52 dope 👍
No animals were hurt making this video or sold for food. Is there a way to do parallel compression on the drums? My friend has one and complained about the lack of punch on the drums.
Hello, great video. Maybe you can help me. Can you live record samples with the TR8S?
On the TR-8S you have to import the samples on an SD card
@@PerfectCircuit thanks for replying
How do you manipulate the sounds from the phone?
@@nicomarofficial Oh, so this machine the MC-707 which can record samples, the TR-8S which we thought you were asking about can only load samples.
@@PerfectCircuit thank you so much. Do you know if you can do the same type of recording (from phone) with the mc101?
Everyone is getting the new update....to slice samples,....
What if it could do
all the things it can’t do now?
That would be sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cool.
Note to reader: Hold on that second to last syllable until out of breath. Let all the gas out.
2:30 sounds just like Boards of Canada
Needs song mode still.
Dope but that price tho
@Boofsquad I gotta job for you in my pants bruh
Price is at best ..under rated. If it was elektron stamp and markings on it they would ask for prolly 2k and you would comment "wow worth every penny... 4 synths engines zen core and all kinds of drums and fx plus sampler
...dream machine"
Good demo. But a noob would think you're just showing off. Is the scatter as limiting as the 8s?
😧
I see nothing about this that makes it better than either the Digitakt or Deluge. More expensive too. The synth engine doesn't seem to be enough to justify the difference as the tone isn't anything special despite polyphony.
fray3dendsofsanity yeah ive decide to go the deluge ,way better machine in my opinion.
Looks cool. maybe just make it affordable for starving artist?
That's why instant noodles were invented ;-)
fucking peasant
I haven’t eaten in 5 days.
@@LeesterFlores ive only been eating ass for the last 5 days
Could you come round to my house and do all the cleaning? Tell you what, I'm skint so let's call it £2. I'm a starving artist after all.
Been honest the machine Looks pretty but ... 1k??? And I might be wrong but to my ears those samples sound kinda ... Cheese...
Lame on so many levels. Fire everyone at Roland. They have no idea anymore. LAND FILL TECHNOLOGY
Way to troll
To expensive for what it does and the quality ouch!
What do you mean?
The amount of factory sounds is overwhelming (something like 3000). The synth engine is really good, too. It's classical subtractive and can even do FM with 2x2 OSCs.
The FX can't compete with very good outboard studio FX, but aren't that bad.
At least especially the Potis feel very nice. The whole Hardware has a nice grip. Nothing cheap about it.
I feel like this is a great bang for the buck. It could even be more expensive considering what is inside...
meh
Weak break beats.
Weak use of break beats by the user but one hell of a machine.
Synthstrom Deluge looks better and portable.
Delusional
it sounds like a toy, its a crap
