The pilot and crew of the Helicopter are really lucky those hideous, blood-thirsty, giants let them go at the beginning. Everybody knows giants love the blood of an English man and the guy hanging on the rescue rope was definitely of English descent.
As an RC Heli pilot yes si engine and turbine helo's practice Autorot as a matter of principle Safety and with electric powered helo's is less as the powerplant isn't prone to cutting out like si power plant do and some turbine powered helo's can suffer flame out or the unit blows theirs vids on UA-cam of this when happens a nice plume of smoke out the exhaust of a turbine you know you got issues and safe landing Autorot unpowered safe landing. Okay Autorot is where powered flight isn't an option due to power plant or transmission failure if you're at a good altitude then you can input fore cyclic and reduce collective to just enough that as the air flows through the rotor disc it in turn spins the head up then at a safe altitude you give an aft cyclic input to arrest forward speed and gently increase collective the helo will momentarily stop and hang their as this is happening you reduce collective to descend in a quick controlled manner but not as so quick to damage landing gear or skids in a real heli is much the same though due to the rotational speed of the head you don't need to have the air passing through the head to wind the head speed up usual reducing collective to conserve head speed until safe altitude from ground slight forward speed does help and then increase collective in a smart controlled manner as you approach the ground to slow your decent to that the landing gear or skids can absorb the slight quicker ground contact. I trust this gives you a better understanding of rotory flight and some principles that both RC and real alike follow. Feel free to message if you like to know more.
Wunderschönes Modell und klasse Vorführung incl. Video! Daumen wie immer hoch!
This thing is awesome, I was involved with an air drop program and this looks so real!
herzlichen Dank Thomas für das tolle Video....
Simply amazing... Spell binding detail and scale flight. Bravo zulu!
sehr cool
So realistic for an RC. Beautiful Heli and excellent flying.
Its nice to see old school helis with a flybar still going strong. Reminds me of a Graupner.
Fantastic aircraft and pilot.
😋👌 Should do the drop over the audience - instead of water use candy 🍬
Great Show, never saw this in a model.... !
Nice looking Huey great flight.
Outstanding! Beautiful job all around
If I may, a small pool of water to dip the hose into and the crowd will go nuts👍

If I could I’d use it to help firefighters just for fun lol
Very Cool
Would be cool to see him actually pick up water from a pond to or three times and drop it

Can model RC helicopters autorotate on engine failure?

alex0baker : -- Thank you for this detailed and thorough explanation. 👍
@@mtkoslowski pleased to have helped
is this an electric heli ??
@@Speedjcp do you mean the video or what I fly RC helo's?
I think it would should better with a JET Turbine.
