- Mark Stoops talks about another loss. It's the 5th loss in 6 games for Kentucky. Their only win came versus a Mississippi State team missing their quarterback. So, that's not good.

It would help if Coen would stop calling pass plays beyond 15 yards. Coen knows the QB sucks with accuracy, yet keeps calling plays destined for failure. This loss is on him.
Agreed 💯 Leary is clearly not talented enough for such things. To keep trying and hoping the deep ball would magically find the vicinity of the receivers was mind boggling
Liam calls pass plays but Leary’s who is the one taking those shots. All the pass calls aren’t deep. Most had check downs, but Leary went deep.
@@pepperwestwoodThey won't say it, but it's obvious Leary doesn't consistently have the control of his arm he had pre-injury. He's the only QB ever to have this surgery, and playing QB is pushing the limits of what medicine is capable of. If he were in any other job, he'd probably never see this drop-off, but QBs have unique demands on their arms.
In other words, our NIL bought damaged goods.

From what I've been watching the receivers dropping passes has been the problem. Could have a joe Montana clone at QB and it wouldn't help.
No Coaching At All,, Across The Board!!! Now Kentucky Administration RAISES AND CONTRACT EXTENSIONS FOR EVERYONE WHAT. A TRAIN WRECK.......
Taking the blame for not putting players in better positions is fine and admirable but these players continue to under perform in winnable games like Missouri and this one. Execution and concentration are lacking in key moments to blow momentum too often. Penalty, Turnover. In my opinion the bowl game is the Lville game, that is going to tell me how that coaches evaluate who staying and who’s going for 2024-25. The program has made some big strides with Stoops, and for the now competitive level he finally achieved is great but it feels like neutral past that.
Screw this, not renewing my season tickets next year. I don’t expect a national title but you cannot lose this game. No exceptions. The Louisville game we are gonna get beat too by a first year coach. Stoops doesn’t care anymore, promote any of the assistant coaches to HC. His offense is worst in NCAA for getting plays in. If he wants to take a pay cut of 5 million a year we can keep him but dude sucks for 9million a year. Excuse after excuse after excuse.

@@captainmarvel9610 Stoops had done a much better job than Joker, but our offense is awful the past two seasons. You have to have explosive offense to compete in SEC. One issue is I think he practices soft in practice to prevent injuries which doesn’t prepare them for games, even if you let your starters maybe not go full speed let your backups develop and play full contact. One of our other QBs should have gotten in game experience this year but because he plays slow grind it out football the opportunity never really came. We will be in same scenario next year with either going after another transfer QB(Miss St QB most likely) or allowing our true freshman QB to start. Next season will not improve and I will not allow myself to get disappointed again. I fully expect 10-15 players to transfer leaving gaps in many of our starting spots.
Fans like this are why our football program is in bad shape. Our fans are too few and sooo cheap compared to other teams. Our Nil is a joke and fans can only blame themselves.
@@ItsReallyJackBlack I didn’t really bitch about any other loss. We should’ve beat Tennessee and I was there but we just failed on defense that night. South Carolina is a terrible team and we should have won. Stoops is a great guy but he can’t take us to the next level, so it’s time for us to search for the guy that can. I don’t expect us to beat Georgia over night but do you donate to Uk? I did and it doesn’t mean a thing if we can’t win games we should.
@@ItsReallyJackBlack LOOK at how much Stoops is getting paid compared to the rest of the SEC! He’s NOT worth what he gets! His results are NOT at all what he is getting paid. It’s ALL on him. If he got paid less they could put more $$ into NIL’s and get better athletes. Simple as that. We definitely need a change in coaching from the TOP down.
Why hasn't Kentucky football been able to develop a QB this Stoops led program actually recruited? Not a JUCO transfer, not a grad transfer, etc. Why bother to get all fired up , YAHTZEE, when Kentucky signs a targeted QB recruit? All the pre-season hype promoted Devin Leary coming in from ACC as a incredible QB. Another disappointing near end to what was a highly anticipated successful season.

That's not how this works, you still have to pay him.... you don't just have his salary to pay another coach..... you're paying him for the next 8 years coaching or not

@@leecrump9404 Texas A&M is gonna slowly destroy their program they’ll soon be Tennessee and Florida firing coaches every 2 to 3 yrs. Texas A&M will never be a Championship program because they think they can win with money. It don’t work that way they’ll be broke quick with that mentality. You got to ask yourself what was Kentucky before Stoops? Some places it’s just hard to win because of the location and Kentucky is one of those programs. Not enough elite talent to go around in a 5 hr radius of Lexington. OSU gets what they are around there. Just ask yourself is it worth firing Stoops to go back to the cellar? Money has ruined college football it’s become the NFL 2.0

Kentucky will probably lose because they are dysfunctional right now, but they still should beat the Cards by 3 TDs based on their rosters. They won't, and that's entirely the fault of the Cats, not the Cards.
Louisville plays in a Micky Mouse conference. With that said Stoops has created this mess.
You give UoFail our schedule they ain't 10-1 plain and simple. They have 1 of the softest schedules in the country.
@dennynutt But UK can't even compete in the lower level. Losses to Vandy at home last year, and to South Carolina the last two seasons. And blowout losses (100 points allowed in two games!) At least Louisville beat a ranked Notre Dame.

We've only had 3 or 4 good teams under him other than that it's the same every year we're stuck in neutral and ain't going till Kentucky decides to make a change this is our football team and this is how it's always going to be

I remember back when I was a kid, Indiana was an annual opponent for the Cats, and they regularly beat us. Then they fired their coach because he had taken them to eight straight bowls, but they never got over the hump to win a conference title. And they've sucked for most of the last 30 years because of that firing. We shouldn't repeat their mistake.

You're correct on that assessment. These KY fans don't understand. They act like we should be on the UGA/Bama level, yet we can't get even close to the same talent here. Even South Carolina and Missouri gets better recruiting classes than us every year. Stoops constantly competes above his weight class. People here should be thankful.
Agreed. Leary is so so awful. Very few teams could be competitive with him at qb. And this ain’t one of em, cause we’re not exactly spectacular in other areas.
@@pepperwestwood I’ve been saying since when Spencer Sanders entered the portal Kentucky should have went after him he went to Ole Miss just to ride the pine. IMO Sanders was the best QB in the portal. Would’ve been a win win for both parties good luck to you guys in the future. GO DAWGS

@@pepperwestwood You're tripping, saying Leary is awful. He didn't get it going fast enough after having a major injury, but saying he's awful is just false. He doesn't take sacks and he usually puts the ball on target. It's our receivers and our line that have let him down most of the year.
Disappointing to say the least! We’re playing like a bottom tier SEC team now. Poor quarterback decisions, too many penalties (every game), inability to close out and win or tie games like the big boys do!, secondary gives up big play to often. Sad to say being from Lexington and bleeding blue all my life, but I’ll be rooting for UL coming up and won’t watch UK anymore till we turn it around and get to the point of being a force or at lest winning games that we are favored in!!

never was a coach, never will be, just a coordinator, maybe someday UK athletics dept will understand why these guys are coordinators for winning teams, not the coaches. 10 wins were luck, luck against mizzou, luck against fla, honestly that whole year could marked up as luck, on his part, he needs to buy Snell a summer home with the part of his 9 mil he owes to his running skills

Leary is a square peg in a round hole offense. Was there no consideration of how he fit Kentucky's offensive scheme when he was being recruited out of the portal?

History no longer matters in todays college football. In a world of NIL and the transfer portal any program can be competitive in no time with the right coach. Ole Miss, Tulane, Kansas St., Missouri, Louisville, UNC, Oregon St., Kansas, all schools that have been turned around with the right coach. Stoops is grossly overpaid and I blame Barnhart for accepting mediocre results year after year. We can do better

SC completely changed their defensive scheme, this isnt the same South Carolina team from the first couple weeks...this team has had EIGHT DIFFERENT offensive line combinations and missing multiple play makers on offense, if SC was fully healthy they win by 10+

It doesn’t help to have all the ore season hype which gets louder every year. At this point it’s propaganda and makes the fan base more disappointed than they would normally be at this point . Quit doing this every year . Counting your chickens before they hatch . A Louisville win would certainly sooth our wounds .
