    Val should have received an Academy Award for Doc Holiday in Tombstone. He was absolutely fantastic. I was pissed off then and now. I totally love him. Just saw his movie ‘Val’. He is so brave and wonderful. 💕💕

      I think "val" superficially skimmed the surface..while the archive footage was great- I would have like to see him dig deeper on the perception of his bad behavior..loosing everything..estrangement from the kids ..

    • @humanbeing2420

      He seems very smart, which is why I find it so hard to believe that he let a cancerous tumor fester for many months while trying to heal it with prayer and lost his voice because of it.

    • @BbDarkRaven
      @BbDarkRaven 3 роки тому +3

      @@humanbeing2420 i think that's particularly cause of his belief system. They're really adamant about that sort of thing (the healing through prayer bs). I still can't believe that he's a scientologist.. I mean he still believes that his prayers and faith have helped cure his cancer.. Not the surgeries and chemo. He's such a brilliant man, and yet..

    • @jessicadegroot7981
      @jessicadegroot7981 3 роки тому +1

      @@BbDarkRaven yep. He was literally born into a family that were Scientologists. It's such a shame because you wonder what would've happened if he had gone and gotten medical attention when he first started having problems.

    • @BbDarkRaven
      @BbDarkRaven 3 роки тому +2

      @@amyhazlett3242 that's true. Christian science is different from Scientology. My bad for mixing them up.
      Buut his belief system (the Christian science belief) still revolves around what I said previously that prayer heals everything (not modern medicine). So again, still not very rational of him.

      @@dragospahontu have you seen the Doors or Tombstone. He not only took on a rocker persona that was given to him and completely out of his character, he was not into drugs ever or into the doors...but he sang 8n that movie as well, his voice that he trained to sound so much like Jim Morrison that the doors surviving members could not tell them apart! It wasn't Vals fault that the movie depicted Jim in a horrible light and was very inaccurate about Jim. Val didn't know, but he sure copied Jims moves and voice and was incredible. And Tombstone...he made that movie. He was just wow. He doesn't have the years and # of movies of some. But what he's done has been remarkable. He was youngest person ever accepted into Juliard.

    Robert Downey Jr. is very courageous for beating his drug abuse (caused by his dad) I seriously thought he would've died from it, Johnny Depp another very talented actor ( I wish he would stop his substance abuse) & I love Tom Hanks, and also both the Scott's were/are excellent directors & lastly Tom Skettit a very good actor.
    Tony Scott's suicide is a tragedy.

    I was in love with him after The Doors, he was more Jim Morrison than Morrison himself. He was the most attractive man to me, when he was young. It was upsetting to hear he was an arrogant person..BUT watch the documentary and back in love with him in a different perspective..He is brilliant..

    I do think its a bit weird that he never came to the same level as Depp, Cruise, Pitt etc.
    He kinda had it going from the 80s, like a momentum buildup, but for some reason never landed any iconic role in the same way. Cruise, Depp, Pitt etc also kept on getting big roles after 2000's, while as Kilmer kinda went the B-movie route sometimes after 2000. To me its a bit of a mystery. Because Kilmer packs the same punch as these other actors and when I was young I always saw him as one favourite actor on par with Schwarzenegger, Depp, Cruise etc.
    Same goes for Michael Biehn which is a fantastic actor, but his career went to toilet because of his alcohol addiction he has stated himself.

    He was such a perfectionist in acting that I heard he was hard to work with and he wasn't offered many roles after Batman. He was also writing "Citizen Twain"...which looked really good...and then he got throat cancer. Life is unpredictable.
