Just ask for your keys back and leave. Intent and body language are everything. But it was real. I was ready to leave; I sent the sales rep to get my keys, was waiting at the exit for them (lots of body language, which was totally real. I was ready to leave), then the sales manager came back and said, "400 a month and nothing down." That's when I signed. For context, I was looking at a CX70 Inline 6 Premium Plus Turbo... not the PHEV. And my trade in had $14,000 equity. But they still tried to get me to put $5K down on the lease. I stared at him like he'd grown a 2nd head and told him that was ridiculous given the amount of equity I'm parting with. If that's not enough, I'm over-reaching and will just leave. Get my keys and I'll sell my car on my own and ink a better deal elsewhere."
And also don't pay for the extras the put on the car themselves, such as the Nitrogen and the sealant. You did not ask for those items to be put on, so you should not have to pay for them. I walked out on a dealer because of just suggesting I pay for a security device they added to "all" of their cars. It was a scam don't falll for it. And you don't need Nitrogen in your tires, it doesn't make a bit of a difference.
@@TravelBreakthrough that's fine they can preserve their inventory on their own dollar. They should not be forcing customers to pay for things they do not need.
Everything is negotiable so many people just smile and nod and get reemed
That’s because most are very stupid

That’s crazy. $14,000 equity is so much. How much did they originally want you to pay ?
don't fall for any of their scamming. determine rent charge and equivalent APR. (should be under 4% APR equivalent).

Yeah, that's overpriced and unrealistic. I get they have to make money, however way too high for a monthly payment.
