That drawer would be great right on my craft table. A nice big storage drawer and still space on top for everything that’s on the table anyway lol. Love it

I saw one of those baskets at Salvation Army I wish I had picked it up now I love them all I do sew I’m going too the Salvation Army today too see what I can fine tyfs prayers and hugs 🤗

Love that you use thifted items. Working on my craft space, it is all thifted or recycled material and I love it. Lots of painting to do, but hey that's crafting isn't it.

Donna I think you could have used some of your white paint on the corners and they would look fine and be a lot easier. It turned out great and fun to have more storage.

These are sooooo BEAUTIFUL & PERFECT for crafting storage !!!❤ You've convinced me to take my Grandmother's Silver flatware storage box of cherry wood & make it into craft storage !!! It has purple velvet lining w/ dividers for forks , spoons,knives that's a Lil torn, so removing that is no big deal ! I CANT wait to try it !! Thanks for the inspiration & courage to try!!❤ It's empty in a drawer doing nothing ! This way it gets a new life, a new purpose & it will be honoring my grandmother seeing it everyday ! Be safe & TFS my dear friend! 🌹👍❣💕
Oh wow, sounds like a fun project 😄 I have my Grandparents silverware set in a box with purple velvet and white satin. I can't alter it though, it has a full set of silver in it still. Sounds like a fun idea though 😉 let me know how it turns out!!

Some people will take the most beautiful family heirloom that has no flaws, and paint it without a second thought, even if there is nothing wrong with it to begin with. You give thought to which items you alter, and which ones to leave alone. I love it 🥰
@StevieMichelle I try my best. Sometimes I do alter things if I know it will enhance the beauty or needs the repairs, but I do like the look of the originals, they have a story!! Thanks for the feedback 😀💖🥰

the sewing basket is made of bamboo thats why there's no damage bamboo is shaped by soaking them in water

I wash baskets all the time in soap and water, then let them air dry and I never had a problem with the basket

Just found your channel on my phone... it's amazing! I'm a big thrift store shopper myself. I've been shopping there for years. I can't tell you the last time I was in a retail store. Anyhow I love what you did to these boxes. It's such a fresh clean look. Did nice work!

So nice to see someone using thrift store items or what you already have to use in the crafts rooms. It seems like all I ever see is the Ikea decorated craft spaces that not everyone can get.
Lol, nope, no Ikea for me, it's 5 hours away and I really can't afford it 😉 Although, I really do love Ikea, go there every time I am in the area.
A lot of what's in my space was free, from garage sales, thrift stores, Walmart, or already had on hand 😊

This is the video I’ve wanted to watch for at least a year! You got a thumbs up from me within a minute 🤣 I also thrifted a vintage drawer that was made to store media with the same weird little things glued to the inside, but mine is solid wood with DOVETAIL JOINTS 😱😱😱 It was love at first sight. I won’t be painting mine, but I really liked the vinyl liner idea. I’ve almost bought that exact shelf liner several times at the dollar tree, but I wasn’t sure it would be strong enough. I’ll get it next time. Thank you for sharing this 💖💖

So funny I was watching a thrift video yesterday and saw some of the video holders. I thought I will have to look for some because they could be torn apart to be remade for storage. You did a wonderful job. All your projects turned out great.

These came out adorable.
They all turned out cute. The colors look great together, too. It's definitely okay to wash wicker with plain water or a very mild soap if necessary. In fact, occasionally doing that will keep it from becoming too brittle. Thanks for sharing your ideas. I'm rethinking some cassette tape storage cases I have now.

You're pretty cute and so are your storages in fact, that's the only contact paper I use and love ~ couple things may help, measure twice cut once and use wood dough for cracks. Maybe you already know as this show is two years old???? I made some smashed cans and drilled to the wall or hang on hook....Cute Storage 😊 Bon in EKA CA USA

Although I'm not a huge fan of green I really loved how they all came out.
Just a quick FYI, if you're using shelf paper and you see it's going to overlap, finish it off then in the back or a corner take your craft blade & ruler, make a straight cut lift up both sides taking out the cut pieces then just place back the two ends. They'll match perfectly.

I am loving the contact paper with that paint color you made as well as all the thrift finds you've used them on. Beautiful 💖. I have a roll of that as well that I'm getting ready to incorporate on a few smaller items one being a small flat tray with handles for my bedroom. It’s the darned foam roller that creates the unwanted paint texture; it pulls the paint up & when the little pulls pop, that happens. That’s why I prefer a brush, just FYI to not get discouraged. Wonderful sight on what objects can become.

There are baskets made from material that doesn't take water well. Anything made of grasses or leaves (like dried banana leaves) don't wash well. I won't buy those kind of baskets. If you wash them, they will just mildew. Your basket cleaned well and there won't be any mildew since you let it dry thoroughly. A tip is to use Murphy's Oil soap and water with a soft brush. Wash your baskets on a sunny day and set them in the sun to help dry faster. This works for rattan furniture too. I have a basket collection and at least once a year, sometimes more often, I wash my baskets and let them dry. If you have baskets with inserts or fabric liners, remove them and wash separately and let everything dry thoroughly before reassembling. If you have baskets with leather handles, try not to get the leather wet as it will mildew. Use some saddle soap on those leather parts.

You did a great job taking very different pieces and making them all coordinate. Isn’t that black and white vinyl beautiful? I use it often!

Next time lay it on its side use some wax paper and iron it ,it wi.l come up with a little scraping the drawer that is.i love that vinyl, wish they had it in blue

The original green craft paint is called "leaf green", I mixed "warm white" (antique cream colour) craft paint and white gesso. It made the green a lighter. It actually looks like "Lush Foliage" by Craft Smart craft paint, I think it's a Michaels brand 🤔

Now I’m mad at myself for donating half a dozen video tape drawers a few years back. It never occurred to me to turn them into drawers for other things! Duh. They stood about 3 feet tall stacked, high enough to be a small dresser. I have to start looking at things for their potential, not just their intended purpose. Thanks for some great ideas!
