Last "Christmas tree" mount I installed was the last they used in a suburban PD. Built using a commercial mount to the PD's specifications. As luck would have it, that cruiser was involved in an accident and the officer was NOT wearing his seat belt and he wound up trying to occupy the same area as the tree. Seriously injured in the accident. PD decided not to continue on with the tree mount. Glad Troy and Havis Shield came up with consoles to keep comms equipment out of harms way.
