So in business settings, it's like INTJs are masterminded planners and at the secondary leadership and ENTJs are good with taking charge of that plan and at the front Leadership.
I'm an INTJ and a good friend is an ENTJ, you've described us perfectly. Your analysis of INTJ solidifies my confidence in being one. The energy comparison is spot on also. I can spend a day just living inside my head and then I'll wonder where the day went. Thank you guys so much.
My INTJ female friend once told me that friends wouldn't be there when we most needed, but our family always will. She adviced not to give up on our family while getting closer to friends, because they will be the only ones, who will stay in our lowest points in life .At the age of 16, who will be matured enough to talk like this.
I am an ENTJ female mistyped as an INTJ because I don't spend my time with my neighbors , because I felt I doesn't belong there. But when I enter my business world,Iam the most active and initiative one I have ever know. Its kind a funny😅
Thank you for saying that E doesn't always mean extraverted with people! I always test INTJ online so thought myself as such. But Harry from CPT typed me ENTJ, which makes much more sense now looking at both types side by side. Excellent work.
This was awesome.. Can't wait to make my husband listen to this! I am an INTJ and he is an ENTJ. These key differences play so much into the difficulties and arguements we have in our relationship. I feel as though I have so much more of a thorough understanding (perspective) of each of our personalities, strengths, weaknesses, and how they interact together. Whereas he is the go go go, get stuff done and wants to tell me how to go about doing things or if I am not being efficient enough in his evaluation or judgement of me.

This was amazing! This cleared my doubt. I am an INTJ, as everybody wanted me to be a little extroverted and I developed the skill of extroversion & dominance that's the reason why I score ENTJ in MBTI tests recently, but I am an well developed version of INTJ.
I'm an INTJ-A 8W7. The cross over sounds correct I never cared about managing people. But during my Uni courses, I took on the role as project manager, now I seek leadership positions more. I believe this is why I tested as 8w7. I understand how using people to accomplish a task is useful.
@@Solarqueenthesoverign The INTJ resonates, but some descriptions werent quite right. Which included they dont typically seek leadership, yet i definetly do. Or the difference between INTJ and ENTJ is: INTJ plan more but dont implement as often and ENTJ Implement more often but dont plan as good. I have my plans which require me to lead. Thus i have taken every opportunity to lead and build my skill set up and i am implementing all the time. Yet i know i am INTJ over ENTJ and i always test as such. The 8w7 resonated a lot more. As it removed alot of the stereotype stuff. I've only known about the personality tests for about 10 weeks, ive benefited from the MBTI typing, big 5. The enneagram has helped a bit more, although i dont look into it as much, as the MBTI. I cant be bothered with the tri-type. The more deeper i look at things, the more vague or speculation is involved. The benefit from the MBTI and the enneagram is purely a boost in confidence, knowing that it is everybody else thats the problem and not me. My plans are worthwhile regardless of alot of peoples view such as "if it was that easy, everybody would be doing it". So, returning the question: does the MBTI typing and enneagrams resonate with you? Has learning these things benefitted you? and in what way?
I test as INTJ-T in MBTI and Type 8w7 in Ennegram. I relate to ENTJ in terms of temperament/personality but not when it comes to actions/goals/lifestyle/the external world. I’m like a very loud INTJ.
honestly same (but i am a 1w9), i am quite assertive and i have good social skills and i can be extremely opinionated so most people think i am an entj at first glance but i am waaaayy more focused on making the best plan or strategy (ni) than finding the most efficent or fastest solution (te). i am most likely an intj but the amount of stereotypes and mistyped people in the mbti community have made it very hard for me to type myself
So weird, as an INTJ I don’t see how anyone could mistake between the two. We don’t operate nearly the same in execution of our function stacks. We may live on the same planet but totally different countries in terms of how we work.
Best leader of a boss I have ever had was ENTJ, he was amazing at bringing out the best in people, and as an INTJ, we worked really well together because he took care of the crap I don't care for, but I was able to do the stuff that was a thorn in his ass... Just a shame the store shit the bed after management decided to move him to another store, and I lost my leader who was actually moving me up the ladder, my new boss was just a bitch and a total waste of space, the store went to shit and I just quit... But to this day he is still a great leader, and I wish the best for him, just a shame how society favors what it does, and us intellectuals tend to get brushed away, I don't mind, I see the chaos leading to nothing, meanwhile banks continue to grip humanity by the nuts...
It's possible. I'm an INTJ who has had a lot training in areas related to extroverted thinking. I don't linger in the Te like I do the Ni but if you're not watching carefully, I can come across as an ENTJ.
My mom (ENTJ) says I can't be an INTJ because I'm too extroverted.... I told her she needs to do more research, and that E/I is about your lead function and how you gain energy not how well you emote. Her knowledge of MBTI is dated and surface level, but she did get me into it so she gets props in that regard.
ENTJs are more impulsive than INTJs. INTJs are more reserved than ENTJs. ENTJs have a very high tendency to take action before thinking or may think on the go, while INTJs are most likely going to think it through before taking action. INTJs are more likely to overthink than take action.
This is actually a great supplement to the video. Impulsivity has actually been a problem for me. Something that clarified it for me as well, I forget where I heard this, was that INTJs plan ahead so much because they don't trust their ability to adapt to changing circumstances on the fly. Speaking for this ENTJ, it's actually a little bit fun when things don't work out exactly as planned and adjustments have to be made on the fly. That's where I feel like my abilities can shine. Maybe this can help other NTJs out there who may be confused about whether they're an ENTJ or INTJ.

My extroverted self still craves social stuff unfortunately so that's that's I jumped on UA-cam. Just controlled so I can stay in a more pleasant mood to deal with people. would love to hear your theory on this
13:20 absolutely agree. My experience with ENTJ introverted feeling expression is, to me, childlike in its rock solid black and white morality. I admire the clarity but at the same time feel there is a lack of nuance and adaptability based on possible unknown information, differences in background with people or, quite frankly, logic.
INTJs using their Ni from the get-go to understand that people are their own main characters is something I actively had to learn when I was around 20. Vsauce did a great video on this phenomenon where everyone believes they are the main character and everyone else is just a side character. But learning this relatively late is a good indication that I am an ENTJ, and if you can relate, you might be too.
That does help clarify it for me, thank you. I distinctly remember when I realized this as a senior in high school and it was an epiphany. In my 30s, it's still something I need to remind myself of as I can sometimes forget it.
Iam an entj female.I have an amazing matured friend (not with age),an intj female ,whom I learned so much about the realities of life,as well as advices, which really helped me.But I don't know why she was jealous of me so much,in such a way I felt her toxic ,maybe it's her way of showing competence.Anyway I learned many harsh truths early from her.Believe me,it's so harsh than a 16 year old can even manage .
I spent almost 23 years thinking I was INTJ, mostly cause I have Asperger's. However, after having been in a relationship with a real INTJ plus retaking the MBTI twice, I realised that I'm ENTJ. Also I got 8w7 on my Enneagram.
Oh i see, i experienced that before, and keeps thinking i'm intj. But it change my mind after i meet a real intj 😂. I think i still enjoying moment and find a joy hang out with my friends 😂
Thank you so much for this! I've always tested as an ENTJ but occasionally INTJ, which created the thought that since I don't usually socialize all that much, it's possible that I'm an INTJ. However, most of my traits point to being an ENTJ. The biggest part of the confusion for me I believe came from working from a young age, and having certain relationships ahead of people my age had me make a lot of adjustments for a long time. The energy management part made the difference clear to me. Just right before I sat down for this I was making tea with the podcast playing on the phone, sat down and switched to PC while getting some rendering work done. Trying to get a lot done with the same amount of energy, tho admittedly it can be a bad thing sometimes. Well now everything aligns, can't appreciate the clarification more!
Very informative. I relate to both, tho I test ENTJ. This was helpful in digging deeper. Question: I find my driver really dominating right now. And I suppose this leans in somewhat to the ‘crazy makers’ observation, but I find that my need for efficiency eclipses all and I am actually in (and have been in) a state of bewilderment for a long time because of the perceived perpetual inefficiencies around me. What are practicals for rising above this? As it stands, I feel like my life is currently about pouring in 80% effort for 20% output, I have the perception that others around don’t care enough to change, and it’s both maddening and exhausting.
No.generally,it's not the case.As intj's didn't have the energy to get things done than entj, they constantly think in a reserved manner.Iam an entj, have an intj dad.He is so much reserved in such a way that I am looking forward how to convince my intj dad to give me independence to choose business as my career. He is so closed minded and religious (utter closed-ness) in such a way he can't see a way to agree his daughter to pursue entrepreneurship ,for the sake of religion (as I am a female)
As an INTJ, surprisingly I can't stand ENTJ's.. I get along with ENTJ's fine, but I've had issues on a personal level. The ENTJ's that I know try too hard to come to solutions too quickly, and this gets under my skin than any other type (even sensors). I think this is due to the fact that I know the ENTJ's are smart, but they seem to choose to take the quick route rather than taking a little more time for a better route. This makes me think ENTJ's are settling to boost themselves; rather than boosting the project itself.. Just a few thoughts from an INTJ.
So weird. I am somewhat questioning for the first time which I am. I typed as an INTJ twice. But when I was little I was more judgmental and black and white and a bit more extroverted. I’m going to check out ENTJ for a little bit now
A month later and I’m still going back and forth. ENTJ describes my mindset in my teens. I have taken my Ni and developed it over this past 20 years. If I were to say the first thing that comes to my mind, my words would not be so pretty. I have worked on self editing for so long, I present as a much softer ENTJ which is similar to an INTJ presenting personality.
Hi,I'm currently trying to figure out my best fit type, and ENTJ is one I'm considering. Question,if as a child an ENTJ was given the message, that the way they show up is 'wrong' (bossy, controlling, too much) could that affect their cognitive function development? Also,if they were not able to use their driver function in a healthy way, like wanting to get things done, but being 'unable' to due to other factors, would that make them feel incompitent,or like a failure?
I can imagine you are doing this video because the person was between 40 and 60% of E/I... With more than 60% of extroversion the difference between both is quite clear. Being an ENTJ myself, I agree with all you said... just one thing I don't agree: People who stand in my way don't drain me, they just piss me off ... the only thing that drains me is my own wasting of energy (sleeping little, doing more than I should, ...)
ESTJs are the same like ENTJs we avoid disorder makers also, unless they want us to create order for them. We can switch between extrovert to introvert for whatever is needed in environment, also tend to prefer small groups but really shine in huge groups in terms of leading organising and creating order. Sounds like ENTJs are a lot like ESTJs, minus future focused intuition of course.
