So, that's it, everyone. HTGAWM IS OVER 😭😭😭 - let me know what you thought about the finale. Favorite scene? What would you change? And what'd you think about the BIG reveal at the end? Comment below! And can't wait to start some new shows with all of you! ❤❤❤ As always, thanks for your support and thanks for watching! 😀
I really loved the finale. I think this is Viola Davis at her finest. She is an amazing actress. Her closing argument had me so emotional. That was my favorite scene of the finale. For me, all the vulnerable moments with Analise is what makes HTGAWM so powerful. BUT, thank you for all the countless hours of work that you put into this channel for HTGAWM. It doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated. I was proud to help you reach 1000 followers and I guess there is no use for me anymore. You got this. Good luck in your future, Todd! Nice knowing you :)
I just realized that gabriel had the best come up ever! Asher have him 60k for his phone, and frank gave him 87k just to leave town. Gabriel was probably at the courthouse to see if anyone else wanted to give him some money before he left town. Lol
The Bonnie/Frank death was such an emotional scene. I love how they both died in the arms of the person who care for them most. Frank in Bonnie's arms and Bonnie died in Annalise's arms.
The aging prosthetics took me out of the show. TV shows always make ppl look ancient. Laurel, Conner, Oliver, & Micheala are in their 50s & the makeup staff got them looking 100+. Cicely Tyson is 95 right now and she didn't look nearly as old as the K5. Annalise was 53 at the time of the trial, she had not one strand of gray hair, but still looked younger than Laurel in her 50s. Not sure why tv shows go so far with the makeup. 🤦🏾♀️ Great review BTW Todd. And dont worry, Viola is definitely getting a Emmy for this performance 💙
I believe the makeup & wig was used to show the life they led. How you can look at a person tell they had hard times/life. Alcohol, drugs even smoking can age you. Connor looked the youngest. He always wanted to confess. He went for 5 years refused the deal. At the end. Still got Oliver. He was at peace. Laurel look older. She lied to everyone disappeared. Lied about wes. No mental issues. She destroyed his legacy as she raised his son. Did she tell Christopher the truth? Michaela looked horrible. Alone. Dad probably died. Billy Dee said success is nothing if don't have anyone to share it with. She learned everything from Annalise and betrayed her. Of course, if guilt ate at her. She should have looked bad.
That confrontation between Frank and Gabriel though. Frank - The son Sam had but never wanted Gabriel - The son Sam wanted to never got the chance to have
Let's give the editors a lot of credit those flashbacks and flashforwards made this show!!!yes I said it it made this show great!!!! As well as the badass music
My favorite scenes had to be Frank crying to AK, and the Laurel, Connor and Oliver funeral reunion. The Frank one really made me love him more. It was the first time we really saw him as a person and not a killer. The Keating 3 one was nostalgic because we never really got to see them say goodbye, and having Christopher there was like having wes there. I wish we had gotten something on Asher though. He gave the show necessary comedic relief, and he never got justice.
Every single actor went to work this episode. Viola needs another Emmy for sure and I would like to see Charlie and Liza pick up a supporting actor award. This show better not get snubbed again, especially since it’s their last season.
My favorite moments were: 1) When Nate gave Annalise West confession. It's nice to see Nate finally growing up and do the right thing. Onion juice almost got in my eyes at that moment. 2) Annalise final statement. It was GOLDEN!!. 3) When the judge read the verdict - Not Guilty. idk what happened here but something definitely got in my eyes and water was just flowing from it. I almost thought I needed to get my eyes checked, lol Essentially, I couldn't have asked for anything more. This finale was perfect.
The death of the Keating name; Hannah, Frank, Baby Sam, Gabriel's mom protected him from the keating name by giving Gabriel her last name, and Annalise. Annalise's death symbolized by the removal of Keating from her name, as well as taking back her old name, Anna mae.. This video and the season finale still resonate months later.
My ISSUE with serial finale : 1. Michaela didn’t DESERVE a happy ending 2 Bonnie died wrong time wrong place 3. Bonnie & Frank should have been verbally acknowledged or a picture in the ending future montage 4. HTGAWM didn’t reach 100 episodes milestone only reach 90 episodes. .I hope in 2025, Peter Nowalk will think about spin off or reboot
I agree with you there. Like, when people were saying it was Michaela I was like, "oooooh, I LIKE THAT." But then I watched it again and I was a LITTLE disappointed. Like I'm fine with it being AK and IT WORKS, but still, like you said. It being Michaela would be the cherry on the cake
The finale was great!! I especially found the scene with Bonnie and Frank dying with AK to be very powerful as it was always the three of them from beginning to the end . Many other scenes were also great, even the funeral scene was touching. This was the only way to go with "Wes" returning for the finale. Now I know what Alfie meant when he said his character comes full circle. I was left feeling very satisfied for all the characters and really felt like I understood their choices going forward. I will miss the show however!! Thanks Todd for all your very interesting and entertaining reviews of HTGAWM.
Totally agree with you. And thank YOU for going on this journey with me and supporting my channel in the process! Can't wait to see what show will bring us all together like this again! ❤❤❤
I am suprised more people haven't reviewed this show. While I accidentally ran into spoilers along the way, the ending shook me, I didn't realize the last two deaths would be soo jarring.
I think the choice of killing Bonnie and Frank was also a way of punishing Annalise, so that while the writers gave us the satisfaction of seeing her win one last time, they also took away the most important people in her life. It was an interesting choice because although Annalise didn't technically kill anyone, she did a lot and it would have been odd if they ended the story without taking something away from her.
I wasn't sure at first if I liked the double casting of Wes/Christopher either....but honestly, it was fun theorizing all season whether Wes was alive or not (because of that flashforward). This is what they have always done to us. Made us think one thing & then totally did something different. It is one of the reasons I loved the show so much. I'm so sad it is over, but think they did a great job wrapping everything up.
We were introduced to Wes initially, and it was wes who was asked about the Mens rea, ie intent, in the asprin assassin case from that first class. Then, it was Wes who found himself in that position when he was trying to protect Rebecca, and ended up officially killing Sam. The actus rea couldnt have been defended but the mens rea was unintentional. The writing in this show was incredible. I'm going to miss it.
Annalise sister's name was Celestine, also as far a Michaela, I don't think those girls were her grandchildren but adopted daughters. I don't think she married or had biological kids cause I'm sure they would have been there at her swearing in. This also brings full circle to her being adopted and wanting to give other girls like her a better life. I do not think she was any better or worse than anyone else on the show, they all did bad things. I do not find it realistic that Michaela, Oliver and Connor did not reconnect in the future. For one Oliver is just as bad as Michaela as he was willing to sale out Annalise to save Connor from jail. I think they kept in touch. I think Christoph dig some digging on his parents and found Annalise when he was older and that is how she became his mentor and how Annalise reconnected with Laurel.
I love how you put this. I really like the idea of Michaela adopting because I could TOTALLY see that. Same thing with Christopher growing up and being the one who reaches out to AK and mends the friendship between Laurel and Annalise. Karla Souza said something similar during their live after party video chat thing. So, I think you're SPOT ON
I 100% agree! I would have loved to see a spin-off with Michaela becoming the lawyer she wanted to become, negotiating Connor out of jail, and creating her firm with him and Oliver, while gradually turning into a younger Annelise (for the sake of dramatic irony). That would have been awesome 🥹
I noticed the poster behind Michaela and Connor was of James Baldwin. I started binging the old seasons on Netflix and noticed when AK went to see Connor on the roof he was reading a book by James Baldwin. Someone is a fan lol.
That's so funny you say that! I made the same comment doing my live reaction. I had the exact same thought. I didn't know they had him reading a James Baldwin book in a different season too though. That's so awesome!
Aww thank you so much! You're the best! Yeah, I know. It was so sad to see it go! Excited to have you all with me for the next shows. I can already tell, this is just the beginning! Lol
As soon as the video came on I paused and screamed lol. You actually sound good Todd!😭 I’m so sad the show is over but as a die hard HTGAWM fan I was very satisfied with the ending. Brilliant and Raw. Thank you for keeping me entertained throughout this last season. Hope you go on to do more amazing things, you’re an incredible Editor! God Bless you, Todd. You’ve got a friend here for life!❤️
You are much too kind! Thank you so much! And so happy that I got to enjoy this series finale with everyone here! It was literally a dream come true type thing lol ❤❤❤
lord the first thought that popped up in my mind is “wtf annalise went through all that just for birkhead to get killed” also i’m pissed that there was not much closure given to bonnie & frank, considering they were their ride or die, gabriel’s character feels like a filler, like he just took the money and dipped? but i liked how a lot of the things comes full circle at the end, so yea i’m satisfied with the ending!
Yeah! There were some parts I feel they could have done more justice. Frank & Bonnie for sure, and same thoughts with Gabe. I feel like he was a bit of wasted potential.
I just started to watch how to get away with murder and I end up finishing the entire series within about 2 or 3 weeks. Amazing show hands-down I literally want to rewatch the entire series all over again. The show has so many twists and turns and so much emotion, I absolutely loved it Viola Davis and every other actor and actress on the show was absolutely phenomenal. Also in the show I think they wanted everyone to look old and gray because of everything that they have went through in the past with the whole murder situation so imagine what they can really do to a person, that’s why I think they made them look so rough because of stress and guilt. Can’t wait to see if there will be a spinoff with Christophe.
You did the doubt dance!!!! I loved the finale. It was beautiful.... I agree it was a little rushed but hey. I can lived with it. I know Tegan was new to the cast, but I truly loved her character. She became my fav. And POPs is my favorite word lol. This show is just simply amazing, I loved it! Thanks Todd for the quality reviews and creating this crazy community! Can’t wait to see your other reviews! I just have ONE nagging question... What did Frank find under Gabriel’s sink?????
LOL had to do it ONE LAST TIME. And totally agree with you. Thank YOU for being a part of that community. This has made the HTGAWM ride so much more epic! Lol OH NOOOOO!!!! WE'LL NEVER KNOW NOOOOWWWW!!! I'm tweeting Pete Nowalk as we speak lol
I’m still recovering from Michaela saying Wes and Annalise did the dirty, but aside from that what an epic ending. I need a spinoff show for Christophe tho
Also, if you stop and think about it, every character who has murdered another throughout this show, ended up dying; Wes killed Sam and was killed in a fire Sam ordered the killing of Lila so in part, he was responsible, and he was killed by wes, Caleb Hapstall murdered his aunt, then killed himself Asher killed Emily Sinclair, and was murdered by the FBI lady Laurel's father and brother murdered countless people and were murdered Bonnie killed Rebecca and Miller, and was shot in a line of fire Frank killed several people and was shot to death. The Keating Quad all got what they deserved based on their character development Laurel did the right thing and protected Annalise in the end, so she got to go free after probation Connor did his 5 years in prison for murdering Sam, (edit: in the cover up of Sam's murder) Michaela served no time, but ended up alone Oliver spent 5 years without Connor and no doubt had to earn his trust and love again after he returned But most importantly, Annalise was freed of the chains, and got to live the rest of her life in peace I think it was an amazing end to a series, and While there were definitely a few storylines that i could not stand *couch* Gabriel *cough* Castillos *cough* this was the perfect end xx
@delta 14o6, I agree. Even tho there were some story lines that didnt get a conclusion, the underlying arc of each core character came full circle. But I have to say, Wes didnt intentionally kill Sam, and Conner didnt actually kill Sam, he participated in the dumping of the body, which is a felony in itself. But regardless the ending was pretty satisfying for that reason.
@@TheSolong100 Wes killed Sam. intentional or not. But yes, I misspoke by saying Connor killed Sam, I meant in the cover up of Sam :) I definitely would have liked to know what the big deal with the Mahoney's was and sen what happened to Sandrine as opposed to all the drama with the Castillos and Michaela/Asher/Gabriel drama. Especially the Gabriel drama. I think that his story line sucked the life out of the show and they dragged his character on for too long. He annoyed me so much.
Annalise must have never got over their death, especially Bonnie's. Their relationship was the deepest. The whole Frank/Bonnie death scene was a masterpiece.
Great recap Todd...Been waiting for this video. Thank you so much for your videos. I loved the last episode. Viola better get an Emmy along with a nod to Charlie & Lisa for supporting actors. Their acting was 100 !!!!
"And that was the series finale of How to get Away with the Castillo's, my friends, but we still have a little bit of HTGAWM left.... ..that was super cheesy" 😂😂😂😂 Bring on the cheese!!! We are eating it up!! 😋😂👍thanks for always keeping us laughing 💕
GREAT REVIEW! The episode gives me all the feels and I absolutely adored this finale. So heartbreaking, yet so beautiful at the same time. This show is truly a treasure - as you are!
Aww that was entirely too kind of you to say. Thank you so much! You're the best. Thanks for supporting my videos! It really means a lot! And this show is SUCH a treasure! So underrated. I can't wait until more people realize they missed out on watching such a great show LIVE haha. This finale gave me ALLL DA FEELS!
My 3 top favorite scenes were “Annalise taking off her mask and speaking her truth, while pleading her case” The second scene even though it was very sad “when Frank & Bonnie got shot. How Bonnie broke down with frank in her arms and Annalise, breaking down over Bonnie, slowly dying in her arms. This scene was very well written” and last 3rd scene was “Christophér showing up in Annalise classroom as the new professor. I felt like in a way it gave Wes his happy ending. Having his son following in his footsteps. And the connection Christophér had with Annalise, was similar to the connection she had with Wes. The show started with Wes & Annalise and it ending with Wes(figuratively) & Annalise”. I’m really going to miss this show, never thought I could cry over a show, that wasn’t a movie.lol
They did leave alot to assumption. Gabriel's character really didn't do alot move the plot foward, and his devotion to a father he never knew who abandoned him was unrealistic. I think the actress who played laurel real life pregnancy kind of caused the plot to go into a different direction. Laurels character wasn't very developed or consistent. We never knew what to expect from her, what she was capable of or who she was loyal too. Her family was responsible for alot of the drama that went down. It didn't make sense to me for the Castillo's to be so hell bent on killing Wes when the Mahon ey's were the ones that were upset with him Testifying against their son and getting him locked up. I also didn't understand why Jorge Killed his ex wife Laurels mother, they never showed her crossing him or giving him any reason to kill her and the way they made Laurel look suspicious was cheap and misleading. After watching the entire show Jorge was just evil for no reason. He didn't wanted Frank with Laurel then he didn't want Wes with Laurel and tried to pay him to leave laurel then he tried to get Dominic to coherse Wes into giving a statement against Annalise and we don't know why? Jorge had no reason to hate Annalise so much. If he hadn't killed Wes he could have went on with his IPO why jeopardize a billion dollar deal for something that does not concern him?
Aww thank you so much! Thank YOU for sticking around with me and going on this season finale journey with me. It was seriously a dream and once in a lifetime experience! ❤❤❤
Theories I got right since 2014. Frank killed Lila Caleb killed his parents Wes was under the sheet Connor killed wes (not really) Teagan had something to do with Laurel's disappearance The fbi killed asher Frank dies Connor goes to jail I am happy I got those out of my one million theories right. The way I reached those was crazy, but in the end I was right. I love this show too much, it hurts.
@@ToddFoolery Right? Tegan had so much love, respect, and adoration for AK and I believe even if AK didn't feel it in the beginning because of the trauma from Sam and Eve, she learned to love Tegan as they grew older. Think about it - her squad was gone [Wes, Frank, Bonnie, Eve] ... Tegan is the real love she had left.
Haha I know, I tried to do my best when you requested it. I wanted to spend more time doing it, but after I saw what Pete said about the viewers putting those moments together themselves, I didn't wanna take TOO much of that from everyone by planting my crazy ideas in everyone's head haha. But I'm glad it was satisfying enough! 🙃
Thanks for clarifying some things. I still don’t think Oliver was the secret witness- the timeline doesn’t quite work for that. Loved this review though. My favorite scene was the frank and Bonnie death scene. So many feels. I also didn’t know I liked Bonnie until then. She lived a tragic life
I think it was right when AK turned to Bonnie & I saw blood You’d think a family member died 🥺🥺🥺🥺 then they show Christopher omggggg my hearrrt 😫😫😫 they need EVERY award they can get 😭
Let’s not forget Laurel explained how she obtain her scratches (I think it was her, her brother & Anna Mae was at the hotel or when her mother’s scalp ended up in a gift 🎁 box)..... I know so much goes on in this show where we quickly forget when something is easily explained away.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! I'm gonna have to re-watch that scene. It must've slipped my mind. Haha yeah, it's definitely easy to forget some of those small details with everything else they threw at us on this show
Been watching the ending of the episode mainly for Eve's speech at the funeral and the song playing in the background (Dancing After Death by Matt Maeson). Brings me to tears every time. Just love it!
i would haved loved if frank and bonnie had had a happy ending, however i feel like their deaths finally set them free from all the murders, pain and suffering. so in a way that was their happy ending (its similar to what happened to one character in scandal), they were finally free from everything. i have to say though, watching my two favorite characters die at the same time at 8 am while also watching an online class, broke my heart completely lol
Ohhh I totally agree with you. I really like the way you put it. And OMG watching this EMOTIONAL roller coaster at 8AM. YIKES. I feel you with that one haha. That would be ROUGH
Top 10 surprising moments on htgwam season 1-6 (not in order) 10. Frank killed Lila 9. Frank killed Annalise son 8. Wes Is dead 7. Bonnie and Nate killed DA miller 6. Wes got laurel pregnant 5. Asher was the informant 4. Michaela and Conner turned on Annalise 3. Frank is sam’s son 2. Frank and Bonnie died 1. Wes from the dead is actually older Christopher
YES. Viola killed it! And so did everyone else. I was trying my hardest not to cry on camera when I did the live reaction lol - but I bawled like a baby when I rewatched it
This finale was WELL DONE! The acting, the pacing, and the EMOTIONS that it brought out were phenomenal. I was sad to see Bonnie and Frank die, but it seemed fitting for their characters to go out together. I still don't like how Michaela did Annalise in the end, but when it came to everyone else I don't care. Laurel disappeared with her son TWICE! Oliver convinced Connor to forget about her and only focus on him (he's lowkey toxic). Michaela's dad was kind of right TBCH! THIS WAS QUALITY TELEVISION. Annalise was a fantastic character and deserved to be happy!
me: *seeing a 30 minutes video from Todd* also, me: these are gonna be the 30 minutes which will make my day UPD 1: I cried like a baby after the finale. I can't tell what scene was my favorite because all of them were so great and answered all the burning questions. In spite of my skepticism about Future Christopher scene (which I considered being cheap if they would do so) I actually enjoyed it in such a context and consider the finale to be really incredible. All of my fears about a harsh and chaotic series finale vanished right away. 6 years later and HTGAWM still played with my emotions and feelings XD UPD 2: Thank you so much for analyzing HTGAWM this whole time, it's been a pleasure to watch your videos on this series. I'm hyped to see more videos from you on some other series as well
😂😂 aww, reading this made MY day! Thank you! You're the best. But I totally agree with you. I'm glad it ended with a BIT of happy ending. And thank YOU for watching! It really means a lot. I have a lot in store for you all, so hopefully it's enjoyable! Lol won't find another show like HTGAWM, but we can certainly TRY to fill that void haha
I think this series finale was really good. Do I think the episode could've of been longer "ABSOLUTELY" However I do think they tied up all the lose ends that they could. I thought Connor looked very handsome with his salt and pepper. I wanted Christopher to be Wes soo bad but like you said that would be back tracking. Michaela still got me mad I didnt like her season 1 and I dont like her season ending.. idc idc idc idc... but the show ending was really good.
I just finished the finale a couple days ago after waiting for Season 6 to drop on Netflix and I'm still shook. Lol. That finale had me feeling so many emotions and I was just staring up at the ceiling that night and wondering what to feel. Pete Nowalk ended the series in the classiest way he could. While it's hard to call any great series finale perfect, I felt that it definitely did the show justice. If Annalise had been murdered, I don't think there would have been any suspect that would have left fans not feeling disappointed. I think it's hard for any Murder Mystery/Suspense series that lasts multiple seasons to go on without inevitably having to jump the shark by resorting to "the butler did it" or "past character coming back from the dead' story mechanics, but Nowalk definitely pulled it off well, if not teasing us with red herrings and possible ghosts returning. All in all, I was left feeling immensely sad yet happy that HTGAWM, a six year investment of my time, was really over, but gave Annalise the ending she deserved. :)
It's unfortunate that the group ended up turning on each other because their tight-knit family relationship is what kept me watching for so long. It would have been much more satisfying to see them overcome this together. Also, in order to make the season work they had to write out of character because it really doesn't make sense how quickly they turned on Annalise and on each other. However, I understand the choices that were made. This show has always been concerned with messaging, and in end they wanted to find a balance which would allow the characters to get away with their crimes but still be punished in some way.
I think ashers death kind of put that into motion in a quick way. The fbi had what the needed to officially charge them with something & then manipulated & coerced them from that. I never liked mikayla. I think the ending really showed what each characters true self was really like. Mikayla always bring a sociopathic brat & Conner really bring a good person deep inside.
It took me a good 3 days to really rid myself of the post HTGAWM sadness. I watched the last 5 minutes at least 8 times in an attempt to desensitize myself, but it didn't work 😒😔. I was reluctant to dive back in by watching this video because it literally took me needing to distract myself with other things to really get over that finale. I agree with you, a big part of the worry that the finale would disappoint is due to the fact that this was the ultimate end to HTGAWM. Also, I think they had so much more to discuss and tie up, but due to the time restraint, its clear they were lucky to even be able to close the show off the way they did. I loved it, and considered it satisfying, even tho I was one of the ones who didn't believe they would actually use Alfred to play Christopher, but in the end it made sense in a way. And technically it did end the way it started, with Wes. Given Christopher is all grown up, taking the same path his father did, was just as Touching. A big part of the fun was the conversations as a result of the stimulation from this show. Im going to miss it!
Dope song in the beginning!! Lol I'm not really not an emotional person but seeing ak's ride or dies die made me upset. But this show ended in such a good way🤩and damnit i loved the way Chris does the HOW 2 GET AWAY WITH MURDER thing at the end. I've never got so attached to a show before. But of course your video was 🔥once again
Who else froze the screen to see that Anna Mae grew old with Teagan in the funeral picture board! I will say this was a better finale than GoT and Power and Lost. This and the Good Place were some good series finales. And your review was something I found later but really enjoy your reviews. will have to check out some other recaps on this channel! Favorite scene aw Teagan and Anna dancing.
ME!!! Lol and I have GOT to agree with you. This and The Good PLace had some of the best series finales I've seen in a while. Aww thank you! I appreciate you supporting my channel! You're the best! I have quite a few shows coming for everyone, so I hope there's plenty for everyone to enjoy! 😀
I Honestly Loved This Episode ❤❤ But I'm Disappointed That Annalise And Tegan Didn't Get Together, She Went Through Alot and She Deserves Happiness. Also, I Don't Remember Seeing Tegan At The Funeral, That Was Disappointing.
They might have tho right? Weren’t they dancing in the future montage, and also holding hands? That was Tegan right? And then it’s just Annalise’s hand, which means Tegan probably died before her, hence why she wasn’t at the funeral
Wow! That would be incredible! Also makes me wonder how much of the truth Laurel and Annalise told him. Like does he know about all the murders they were involved in? Just thinking about the possibilities of this future time is interesting. Thanks for watching btw!
@@ToddFoolery In my own opinion I think Annalise and Laurel would tell Christopher the whole truth about them especially about Wes. Otherwise he would be completely curious about his past and be the opposite of him in the ending. He seemed so happy about following Annalise's footsteps which gives me the idea that his biggest iceberg to face would be Michaela as a judge. I would like to see a spin-off in the future!! And also, you earnes a sub, man!
Aww yeah... Honestly, I put it off for as long as I could because I was thinking the same thing lol. Like, THIS IS IT. But thank you so much! And thanks for joining me on this journey. You hopped on my crazy train early and you're the best for it! 😀
@@ErableBleu i don’t think he stayed in the US his whole life, when Bonnie and Frank died we saw Laurel drive off after telling Christopher they’d go to a safe place with no more boogeymen. She also deleted her number, hence why Michaela couldn’t reach her. So they probably lived somewhere in South America for a while, or maybe she just raised him speaking mostly Spanish. Happens all the time
OMG that was the nicest thing you could say. Thank you so much! ❤❤❤ Thank YOU for being there and supporting my videos for this series finale ride! It was SO MUCH more fun with you all with me 😀
Called the governor being the "woman down" in the pink suit at the beginning of the episode and that she would change jackets to fit the color in the ending scene. I just didn't know it was going to be Frank as the perpetrator. My favorite scene is probably where Annalise and Nate finally got some closure. Poor Bonnie, the true ride or die.
Nice! You definitely called that. That had never even crossed my mind! And yeah, totally my favorite scene too. I loved that closure and definitely needed it haha
Annalise: "You had an idea, and I told you it was a bad one. Goodnight SETH! Wes: Its Wes. Classic! Even more classic now after finding out Annalise knew who Wes was that whole time. Calling him by the wrong name was more so to deflect from the fact that Wes walked in on her in the act, and also with someone other than her husband. Plus, Seth wasn't even his real name, she knew him as Chrisoph... So good!!
I didn’t watched your last few videos because I got spoilered enough with theories like Frank being Sams father or the FBI killed Asher 😩 I guess I will rewatch your videos now and i can just say: GREAT FINALE! Watched the last scene like 10 times and I always cry and I actually cried like that during the episode: “wuaah wuaaah” :D
Todd Foolery Yeah it sucks but it’s okay, at least I didn’t know Bonnie or Frank die, that was a shock for me. Sadly I read a lot of spoilers through the show, but I can be happy I was able to enjoy it. But I wish I could erase my memories to watch it again, would love to see my reactions without knowing Mahoney to be shot or Miller to be killed by Nate for example :/
The amount of times I've watched that final. Holy fuck that was the best ending to any series I've ever scene. What would've made it better is if there was an Asher call back or something to make the actor to be in the final episode, and if we got a Gabriel flashforward, something to show us what happens with him. But I hate how they did false promotion about "who killed Annalise" I hate when shows do that.
Yeah, thinking about that hashtag now, it was clearly a way to get us fired up about the ending haha. But yeah! You're right, a little Asher callback and follow up on Gabriel would've been a nice addition for sure.
Thank you for this. It made me feel better about the ending, believe it or not. As a die hard fan, I can say you nailed this. At this point, I think I’m really just upset about not having any closure with the Mahoney’s and the remaining Keating 5 not speaking again after the trial. Other than that, I’m fine with the ending.
I'm happy to hear that! But I agree, the biggest thing was getting more from the Mahoneys. We got SO much of the Castillos, I just feel like more story and closure with the Mahoneys would've been nice too. But yeah, same. Other than that, I was satisfied!
Yeah I was one of the people who was annoyed about how they use the Wes/Cristoff character but now I get it. You actually explained it beautifully. Also I balled like a baby over Bonnie's death because I think Anna Mae (after that powerful monolgue, I refuse to call her Annalise haha) planned on running away with Bonnie. She tried last time when she planned her fake death. The way Anna Mae reacted as Bonnie was dying said it all. I think she settled for Teagan but it looked like she had other loves in her life as well. The holding hands scene looked like different people. I saw Sam's hand but couldn't make out the rest.
Aww same. Like even more so the second viewing. Her death KILLED me - no pun intended. But I agree about the hand holding montage. I saw Sam and then Eve at the end. And best believe I was trying to spot Tegan lol
It was from season one when Wes found out that Annalises husband was the one in the naked pic on lila's phone. He was Mr. Darcy! Wes found out Annalise was lying to him and he wrote it all out in a confessoon. He threatened to notify the police if Annalise didnt get Rebecca back.
I'm still mad about how no one feels remorse after blaming Wes for everything. It feels like they just forgot about him even Annalise who had the best connection with Wes. I dont think he was done justice
@@indiakelly4599 lol -- listen, HTGAWM is a mouthful. I agree. Annalise has a better ring to it. i STAN Viola Davis. I'm over here about to watch The Woman King a 3rd time
So, that's it, everyone. HTGAWM IS OVER 😭😭😭 - let me know what you thought about the finale. Favorite scene? What would you change? And what'd you think about the BIG reveal at the end?
Comment below! And can't wait to start some new shows with all of you! ❤❤❤
As always, thanks for your support and thanks for watching! 😀
Celestine Harkness is Annalise's sister :)
You should do a video of your top ten worst season/series finales lol. It would be dope!
Selvin Solis that’s not quite a million friend. 😕
@@rteezy6 A top 10 of your favourite episodes and characters and ranking of the seasons of HTGAWM will be great too!
I just realized that gabriel had the best come up ever! Asher have him 60k for his phone, and frank gave him 87k just to leave town. Gabriel was probably at the courthouse to see if anyone else wanted to give him some money before he left town. Lol
😂😂😂
Facts tho
It's 4 a.m. 😂😂😂
lol that's exactly what I thought 😂😂
This is such a hilarious comment and observation🤣
The Bonnie/Frank death was such an emotional scene. I love how they both died in the arms of the person who care for them most. Frank in Bonnie's arms and Bonnie died in Annalise's arms.
Agree
Agreed I agree with Todd tho cuz I also didnt realize how much I liked bonnie 😓😓
OMG, that is so beautiful. I hadn't put that together yet. That damn scene! GETS ME EVERY TIME!
Yes! So beautiful and bittersweet. And Frank and Bonnie are together forever now ♥️♥️♥️
Me too I was so shocked!!!
Great review BTW Todd.
I wasn’t mad abt Laurel’s makeup because she has always looked much older than the other students (to me)
Wypepo lol
Stacey Williams EXACTLY
LMAO!!! Felt the same!
When Frank was gonna shoot himself for Annalise, Bonnie said she couldn’t live if he died. Everything was full circle man.
OH SHIT MAN! I didn’t even think about that. That’s wild, very small detail that probably went over most people’s heads
That confrontation between Frank and Gabriel though.
Frank - The son Sam had but never wanted
Gabriel - The son Sam wanted to never got the chance to have
ADFC Damn.
WOW. That gave me chills. So true. I love that.
Let's give the editors a lot of credit those flashbacks and flashforwards made this show!!!yes I said it it made this show great!!!! As well as the badass music
💯💯💯👏👏👏
You best believe I cried like a baby during this episode
Same. Especially the 3rd viewing. And it's funny, I cried at different places with each viewing haha
I criedddd my eyes out
My favorite scenes had to be Frank crying to AK, and the Laurel, Connor and Oliver funeral reunion.
I’m still hoping that Asher’s murder was staged and he’s in witness protection. Would love to see a spin-off starring him!
Asher’s justice was AK winning her case because through her winning. It revealed the governor was behind it.
I couldn’t stand Asher
Every single actor went to work this episode. Viola needs another Emmy for sure and I would like to see Charlie and Liza pick up a supporting actor award. This show better not get snubbed again, especially since it’s their last season.
Couldn't agree more!
It doesn’t go straight to voicemail Laurel blocked her number or disconnected the line
symbolizing she’s done with Mikayla
Yea... Mikayla’s call didn’t go to voicemail. Laurel disconnected the line letting us know she’s done with everyone.
My favorite moments were:
1) When Nate gave Annalise West confession.
I almost thought I needed to get my eyes checked, lol
Essentially, I couldn't have asked for anything more. This finale was perfect.
Wes
I thought it sucked
Stuff kept getting in my eyes too! 😂😭
Laurel said in season 4 or something that her mom gave her those scratches when she was begging her not to leave.
OMG! I TOTALLY MISSED THAT lol Thank you! ❤❤
YES! One of the many subtle storytelling elements I loved for the show!
Her sad ending was ending up alone and she became a judge so what, life goes on.
Michaela still deserved her win, especially with all the hardships she endured in life. The girl said they put cigarettes out on her as a child.
I agree about Michaela...I honestly don't understand why they went up against Annilsa when they've literally watched the woman win nonstop for years.
i kinda wish the scene with old AK drinking was old makayla drinking to show she kinda became AK, just like she always wanted. in a tragic way
I agree with you there. Like, when people were saying it was Michaela I was like, "oooooh, I LIKE THAT." But then I watched it again and I was a LITTLE disappointed. Like I'm fine with it being AK and IT WORKS, but still, like you said. It being Michaela would be the cherry on the cake
The finale gave us everything we needed to see. I still cry every time I watch it
The finale was great!!
Wow. LOVE that! This show will continue to have little gems like that uncovered as time goes on and that the sign of a GOOD SHOW.
I’ve been wait forever for this !!
Right I’ve been checking every day lol
❤❤❤
I really miss annalise and Connor and micheala laurel asher frank Bonnie and wes Eve
Haha #same ❤
I noticed the poster behind Michaela and Connor was of James Baldwin.
I'm soo sad HTGAWM is over. Idk what I am going to miss more...the show OR your theories 😭😭😭
Can't wait to see what is up your sleeve next!💕
I'm going to miss how you always accuse Oliver of being suspicious 😭🥺
They always had Oliver doing suspicious things😆
😂😂😂 - honestly, over the last two episodes, I had come to terms with Oliver being clean. I just still had to put on my Oliver-hate show lol
lol he did go to the FBI behind Connor’s back with his sneaky self 😂
I’m glad they wound up together. Their wedding made me so tearful 😭😭😭😍
i been waiting for this 😭😭😭 checked your youtube everyday since the episode
lord the first thought that popped up in my mind is “wtf annalise went through all that just for birkhead to get killed” also i’m pissed that there was not much closure given to bonnie & frank, considering they were their ride or die, gabriel’s character feels like a filler, like he just took the money and dipped? but i liked how a lot of the things comes full circle at the end, so yea i’m satisfied with the ending!
Yeah! There were some parts I feel they could have done more justice. Frank & Bonnie for sure, and same thoughts with Gabe. I feel like he was a bit of wasted potential.
Not me just realizing Frank was AK’s stepson for a bit before they knew 🥲
Lol
OH NOOOOO!!!!
Also, if you stop and think about it, every character who has murdered another throughout this show, ended up dying;
Wes killed Sam and was killed in a fire
Sam ordered the killing of Lila so in part, he was responsible, and he was killed by wes,
Caleb Hapstall murdered his aunt, then killed himself
Asher killed Emily Sinclair, and was murdered by the FBI lady
Laurel's father and brother murdered countless people and were murdered
Bonnie killed Rebecca and Miller, and was shot in a line of fire
Frank killed several people and was shot to death.
The Keating Quad all got what they deserved based on their character development
Laurel did the right thing and protected Annalise in the end, so she got to go free after probation
Connor did his 5 years in prison for murdering Sam, (edit: in the cover up of Sam's murder)
Michaela served no time, but ended up alone
Oliver spent 5 years without Connor and no doubt had to earn his trust and love again after he returned
But most importantly, Annalise was freed of the chains, and got to live the rest of her life in peace
I think it was an amazing end to a series, and While there were definitely a few storylines that i could not stand *couch* Gabriel *cough* Castillos *cough* this was the perfect end xx
TOTALLY agree with you on this
@@TheSolong100 Wes killed Sam. intentional or not.
But Nate didn’t die
@@ugbechieaustin9881 Nate didn't kill anyone. Bonnie killed Miller by suffocating him to death.
Annalise must have never got over their death, especially Bonnie's. Their relationship was the deepest.
The whole Frank/Bonnie death scene was a masterpiece.
I totally agree with you. I feel like that would've been something that plagued her to her death 😭
Great recap Todd...Been waiting for this video. Thank you so much for your videos. I loved the last episode. Viola better get an Emmy along with a nod to Charlie & Lisa for supporting actors. Their acting was 100 !!!!
Thank you so much! And I agree 100% Everyone did NOT PLAY this episode. And I respect them even more for it!
"And that was the series finale of How to get Away with the Castillo's, my friends, but we still have a little bit of HTGAWM left....
..that was super cheesy" 😂😂😂😂
Bring on the cheese!!! We are eating it up!!
😋😂👍thanks for always keeping us laughing 💕

the little song in the beginning did it for me 😭😭😭❤️

YUP gotta agree with you there!
It didn't make sense to me for the Castillo's to be so hell bent on killing Wes when the Mahon
ey's were the ones that were upset with him Testifying against their son and getting him locked up.
He doesn't want Anyone in laurels sphere that may control her thinking..
I loovveedd this video. Thank you for always reading and listening to our comments. Your videos will be missed 🥰
Aww thank you so much! Thank YOU for sticking around with me and going on this season finale journey with me. It was seriously a dream and once in a lifetime experience! ❤❤❤
The singing was amazing and will forever help me to cope with my loss. Thank you for being here in my time of need.
❤❤❤ thank YOU. Seriously, this turned into some sort of support group lol and I love it
Todd Foolery there almost needs to be a support group for those of us trying to cope in a post HTGWM world. Like what even does one doooooo~!
Theories I got right since 2014.
Frank killed Lila
Caleb killed his parents
Wes was under the sheet
Connor killed wes (not really)
Teagan had something to do with Laurel's disappearance
The fbi killed asher
Frank dies
Connor goes to jail
I am happy I got those out of my one million theories right. The way I reached those was crazy, but in the end I was right.
I love this show too much, it hurts.
That's a good amount to get right! I'm so indecisive, I'm never really able to ever settle on one lol
Gabriel also got away with murdering his mom's boyfriend + the money
Ohhhhhh TRUTH. Good point. Completely forgot!
I'm choosing to believe that AK went back to drinking because Tegan died after a long life together.
Aww that's so heartbreaking. I love it. It makes me sad, but I still love it.
A scene by scene!!!! Love it. This is what I needed and sort of asked for. Todd, you're the BESTEST 🤗
I still can’t believe that it’s over! What am I gonna do now 😭😭
Same, buddy. Same lol
Thanks for clarifying some things. I still don’t think Oliver was the secret witness- the timeline doesn’t quite work for that. Loved this review though. My favorite scene was the frank and Bonnie death scene. So many feels. I also didn’t know I liked Bonnie until then. She lived a tragic life
She DID live a tragic life! SO many feels... And yeah, the secret witness thing is a stretch, but most of the things I say are lol
My whole shirt collar was wet , crying for like 10 minutes 🤦🏽♀️
😂😂😂 I FEEL you!
I think it was right when AK turned to Bonnie & I saw blood You’d think a family member died 🥺🥺🥺🥺 then they show Christopher omggggg my hearrrt 😫😫😫 they need EVERY award they can get 😭
Honestly, that AK final speech in the court was so touching. GREAT GREAT actress 👏🏻👏🏻
100%!!
“You know how babies be scratching “ 😂😂
The sisters name is Celestine 😂
Hahaha YES! Thank you!
Haha yeah, it's definitely easy to forget some of those small details with everything else they threw at us on this show
Who knew you could sing like that Todd! Thanks for sharing 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Finally your video is up!!!
Been watching the ending of the episode mainly for Eve's speech at the funeral and the song playing in the background (Dancing After Death by Matt Maeson). Brings me to tears every time. Just love it!
Yep ❤❤❤
YES! I loved the music during that scene too but didn't know the song. Thanks for posting that!
@@ToddFoolery You're very welcome
There’s still a chance for one more video: The Conspiracy Episode w all our theories
Hells yeah!
Love it!
i would haved loved if frank and bonnie had had a happy ending, however i feel like their deaths finally set them free from all the murders, pain and suffering. so in a way that was their happy ending (its similar to what happened to one character in scandal), they were finally free from everything. i have to say though, watching my two favorite characters die at the same time at 8 am while also watching an online class, broke my heart completely lol
Ohhh I totally agree with you. I really like the way you put it. And OMG watching this EMOTIONAL roller coaster at 8AM. YIKES. I feel you with that one haha. That would be ROUGH
Yeah been waiting for ur analysis will miss u

Top 10 surprising moments on htgwam season 1-6 (not in order)
10. Frank killed Lila
9. Frank killed Annalise son
8. Wes Is dead
7. Bonnie and Nate killed DA miller
6. Wes got laurel pregnant
5. Asher was the informant
4. Michaela and Conner turned on Annalise
3. Frank is sam’s son
2. Frank and Bonnie died
1. Wes from the dead is actually older Christopher
LOVE THIS!
I watched it twice and cried both time. I loved it!!! Everyone acting was on point especially Viola!!!!
Annalises sisters name is Celastine
THANK YOU! Lol I knew it started with a C... Or I didn't haha
Todd Foolery no problem!!
Where is annalise brother
me: *seeing a 30 minutes video from Todd*
also, me: these are gonna be the 30 minutes which will make my day
UPD 1: I cried like a baby after the finale. 6 years later and HTGAWM still played with my emotions and feelings XD
UPD 2: Thank you so much for analyzing HTGAWM this whole time, it's been a pleasure to watch your videos on this series.
Kinda sad the show is over. My Thursday night's wont be same. 😢
I think this series finale was really good.
Do I think the episode could've of been longer "ABSOLUTELY"
However I do think they tied up all the lose ends that they could.
Right? Connor over there looking like a DADDY lol. But yeah, I agree with you!
Annalise is Frank's stepmother
YUP! Lol
I wanted Bonnie to have a happy ending so bad but I knew after Frank died it was over for her. She almost didn’t survive Miller.
Haha thanks so much! And I KNOW. The ride or dies going down hit me hard too.
Imagine Christopher in a courtroom using Lahey v Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as his precedent. Damn.
Now youve done this video htgawm is truly over for me , the only thing i was looking forward to after the finale was this vid🥺🥺🥺such great videos bro
Aww yeah... Honestly, I put it off for as long as I could because I was thinking the same thing lol. Like, THIS IS IT. But thank you so much! And thanks for joining me on this journey. You hopped on my crazy train early and you're the best for it! 😀
Alfred Enoch deserves an award just for the accents alone though lol he killed it
Agreed
His Ricky Ricardo accent made no sense. Wasn’t he raised (probably in the U.S.) bilingual or possibly trilingual by his mom whose English is flawless?
@@ErableBleu i don’t think he stayed in the US his whole life, when Bonnie and Frank died we saw Laurel drive off after telling Christopher they’d go to a safe place with no more boogeymen. She also deleted her number, hence why Michaela couldn’t reach her. So they probably lived somewhere in South America for a while, or maybe she just raised him speaking mostly Spanish. Happens all the time
I love the finale as much as I love your video. Thank you for making these incredible videos for us!
So good!!
Keeping up with the Castillo's
RIGHT!?
I didn’t watched your last few videos because I got spoilered enough with theories like Frank being Sams father or the FBI killed Asher 😩
I guess I will rewatch your videos now and i can just say: GREAT FINALE! Watched the last scene like 10 times and I always cry and I actually cried like that during the episode: “wuaah wuaaah” :D
Lol I'm so sorry the videos spoiled things for you! Ugh, that sucks. But yeah. A great finale with so many emotional moments. So good
Todd Foolery Yeah it sucks but it’s okay, at least I didn’t know Bonnie or Frank die, that was a shock for me.
Sadly I read a lot of spoilers through the show, but I can be happy I was able to enjoy it.
But I wish I could erase my memories to watch it again, would love to see my reactions without knowing Mahoney to be shot or Miller to be killed by Nate for example :/
I love your energy! I wish I would have found your videos before I finished the series
aww thank you! That's so kind of you to say. Hopefully I'll start putting out new videos you can enjoy too!
Great review, being able to rewatch your recaps will be one of the many great things this show has brought me.
Also LIBRA GAAAANG
Libra gang represent!! 😂😂
I binged the show. So the Christopher/Wes reveal felt earned and made sense. It was a good way to show the legacy
I agree. The more I sat with it, the better I felt about it.
I’m glad the governor was wacked! Go Frank! Frank is way underrated in this series!
Frank and bonnie = Bonny and Clyde 😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
omg!!! SO TRUE
Gonna miss this Todd. Best wishes!
❤❤❤
I’m still mourning like a week later. that song is on repeat haha. Eleventh teen times 😂 me too. Me too.
😂😂 same. You feel me lol
I cried so much with this finale.
SAME lol
I wanted to know what wes confession was like what did the letter say
It was from season one when Wes found out that Annalises husband was the one in the naked pic on lila's phone. He was Mr. Darcy! Wes found out Annalise was lying to him and he wrote it all out in a confessoon. He threatened to notify the police if Annalise didnt get Rebecca back.
I'm still mad about how no one feels remorse after blaming Wes for everything. It feels like they just forgot about him even Annalise who had the best connection with Wes. I dont think he was done justice
Same. I kinda feel like that could be a reason they brought him back the way they did in the end.
Im glad I watched this i was a lil confused with Christopher being wes 😂 it was cheesy but I get it
Happy I could help! Yeah, I agree -- a bit cheesy, but I get it. It was cool to see the actor back again. So misleading though 😂😂
@@ToddFoolery yes! But such a good show. Im in love with viola Davis i call it Annalise instead of how to get away with murder lol
@@indiakelly4599 lol -- listen, HTGAWM is a mouthful. I agree. Annalise has a better ring to it. i STAN Viola Davis. I'm over here about to watch The Woman King a 3rd time
Thank you for doing the doubt dance
Hahahaha had to bring it back ONE more time, right?
