Been a year since I finished season 3 and tried starting season 4 tonight and forgot EVERYTHING that happened and was so lost until i saw this video, thank you! 💕
The season 3 followed the principles laid out by Annalise in the very 1 episode of the series. How to get away with murder / confuse the viewers? 1. Discredit the witness (Nate, Connor) 2. Throw as much of information as you can at the juries / viewers (plots of the Mahonneys, Domminick, Denver) and 3. enter the new suspect (Laurel's dad)
Thank you! I wanted to leave that in, but that storyline seems to always get put on the backburner and never becomes important to the plot in any of the seasons besides the whole affair thing in the first season. I tried to leave everything in without talking too long about less meaningful things, hopefully that didn;t take away from the video!
You are right, I just know in my opinion it's one of the longest running story lines in this show. Especially considering our boy Nate, despite claiming he wants nothing to do with Annalese, still has her back for some reason, and is lying for her. Idk maybe I'm just bias because Nate is Bae and I'm rooting hardcore for Natalese.
Wow.. you are a pro for both recaps AND reviews. And you are right. Season 3 has way too many unresolved puzzles. Kind of reminded me of Lost.. but i might be pushing it heh !
Oh true! I had the same problem with Lost. It was such an excellent show until all of the plot holes and unresolved stories/mysteries started unraveling
Omg thank you so so so so much for that work! I'm watching the first episode of season 4 tonight and your video was really what I needed before starting it And i had absolutely no difficulty to understand your english (i'm a french speaker) so again: thank you su much!
Really well done, just what I needed. I had stopped after season two and wanted to start at season three. I couldn't remember anything other than that it's a riveting show. I now remember everything and am ready to start where I left off. Thanks. Your clarity and presentation are appreciated.
Wes is the reason every one he knows whole life got turned upside down. All because he had a crush on Rebecca. Annalise warned him to not get involved with her. Rebecca was not a nice girl. Look what she done to her virgin friend Lila's life and former shy male neighbor who end up in a psych hospital.
Yes but Wes tried defending her, all the blame doesn’t deserve to go on him and it doesn’t mean he deserved to die. It was so stupid to have him killed and he was one of the better characters, he was one of the nicest ones
I was about to watch htgawm season 6 but I wanna be refresh about the previous seasons. I can barely remember the scenes maybe cuz I've watched too many series now 😂 Thanks for this recap. Really helpful.
Thank you for this video! I wanted to start season 4, but forgot so many things from season 3. I absolutely agree with you about all the cliffhangers. After season 3 I was like "what..what the..what was that? I have so many questions!" Every season got me more confused. :D
Just finished watching season 6 last week, now I’m starting to watch this show from season 1. It’s such a masterpiece. I recommend to those who haven’t watched it to give it a watch, you won’t be disappointed!
lol my bad on the ranting, maybe should have just kept in the entirety of how many questions there were left and left it at that. Loving season 4 so far though! I have reaction videos of the whole first half to watch if you're interested :)
Great recap and review, thanks! I stoped watching the show after season 3 for like 2 years and just about to start season 4, I had really forgotten most of what had happend the first 3 seasone.
I don't know how you can say you love the show after listening to what you had to say about it? But thanks for this recap and review. I've been watching this show since the end of Season 1 and always thought I just couldn't understand it because I had missed too much of the first season. After listening to you, I don't know why anyone would want to watch this show with all the fall-by-the-wayside characters and story lines. I will never back get these hours I've wasted watching it. The only good thing I can say is that Viola Davis is an amazing actress.
Just subscribed, I stopped at 9:50 tho, I needed a recap for the 1st two seasons b4 I watch the third, thnx 4 such a detailed description of them, I loved watching the first 2 seasons and can't wait to watch the 3rd! 😀
I believe the full third season is also on Netflix! Glad you enjoyed and thanks for subscribing!!! Hopefully you catch up to season 4 and watch me and my friend's reactions to those episodes! :)
Oh wow thank you! I like making videos like these although it does take a lot of work, I'm currently trying to finish my reaction videos of season 6 and then I'm planning on putting out a video for seasons 5 and 6 as well :) Comments like these motivate me to do more so thank you
Good review. Basically voiced all my feelings on season 3. I just finished season 3 and am going into season 4, the writing was very sloppy this season compared to the last 2. Im very worried going forward haha
I have literally never commented on any UA-cam videos, but I had to comment on this. Awesome job and great recap & critiques Ricky. I have finished Season 3 a long time ago and almost forgot what happened, and as much as I was happy about the season 4 release announcement from Netflix, I was very lost trying to remember what had happened. In similar cases, I would end up watching the last episode of the season before the new season and will be able to get a sense of what is going on, but it was not the case with How To Get Away With Murder. I found myself even more lost. This video has helped me so much to get my mind around what's going on and refresh my memory. You are awesome Ricky and thank you very much for your help!!!!
You're welcome! I have reaction videos of the entire first half of season 4 on my channel to watch as well if you're interested! Really loving season 4 so far. Let me know what you think of it!
im watching this while season 6 and all the questions about wes... omg i think it was planned, and now we are finally about to get answers omg i just love this show so much
Great summary, I took a break from the show after S3 and started watching again so I needed a recap, I really enjoyed the review too. Thanks for the video :)
Planning to watch the season 4 now and after watching this video, it reminded me why I lost interest and stopped watching after S3. But I definitely remember loving this series so much so going back to it . Thanks for the great recap!!
Duuuude I know I'm seeing this recap way after it was uploaded, but you can't just watch this kind of show and stay superficial only "watching it" you have to go further and make theories that's why mystery shows are so good. Dominick knew Wes was at the house because he works for Laurel's dad, and we know he has all kinds of tech to infiltrate phones and know people whereabouts, like when Frank ran away he find him in coalport, it isn't impossible that he hacked Laurel's phone and knew Annalise was talking the team to the house, also we know Dominick was alert for that oppprtunity, as in the season finale he says he has been in town for work for a very long time, nice recap btw 😉
First season was amazing. Second was great too. I found season 3 good but got abit stale around the middle. Season 4 and especially 5 I found quite boring tbh. Luckily the last season redeemed the previous 2.
Baby you went IIIIIIIINNN on HTGAWM for season 3! Lol Big points for calling Connor/Oliver annoying, that Mahoney mess and Wes’ killer storyline. Another major flaw was the writers building a ton of tension around there being a “snitch” in the Keating crew giving all the info to Denver. To me this was HUGE... but again they just dropped it. I was sure it was Asher for several reasons. I’ve heard that Pete Nowalk and team basically tried to whatever people didn’t expect, making up new shit on the fly, regardless of the story that preceded it. I’m still watching because it’s still an entertaining show but don’t bother trying to figure out what happens. They killed off the integrity of the show as a legit mystery-thriller early on.
I think season 3 may have been difficult to digest because it threw so many new actors into the scene : the Mahoneys and Laurel's family into the Wes's death plot - after watching season 4, I'd say it was a necessary season to bridge between the storylines of seasons 1&2 and the new plot beginnings.
Either she really did disappear and went off the grid or laurel’s dad or brother kidnapped her . Knowing this show I’m sure something “crazy” happened to sandrine
I totally agree wit everything u said. Especially about Conner & Oliver being annoying lol. & random ppl coming outta nowhere... Especially the one who killed Wes... I'm like what ?? 🤦🏾♀️
I thought I'd fucking missed something with season three - hence my need to watch a recap - thank gawd it's not me being a dumb ass, but the writers! On to season 4 we go...
The only reason I even searched for this video was to talk about the last straw snapping the back of the camel I had with the lack of Annalise's eyebrows. This has been a public service announcement. That is all.
I'm watching on Netflix, up to season 3 episode 14.. OMG I can't stand Laurel, she acting like wes was such a good person when he killed Sam!! Don't like Wes or Bonnie either.. I always used to see the ads on TV for it and was just never interested, just decided to watch while looking for a series and wow, this show is phenomenal, it's mind blowing!!!
@@RickyReviews what are you watching it on? Just that Im in Australia and it's no longer being screened here for some unknown reason ..and only 3 seasons on Netflix here..
Thanks for the recap but perhaps you should make a separate video about reviews and your opinions on cliffhangers and stuff and keep the recap video just a recap? It’s annoying to watch the video with you commenting on lack of writing and development when you just wanna remember what happened so can you catch up.
He get on my last nerves. Always all up in Connor's business. If Connor was working in claw enforcement Oliver would wanted to know all his business in that job. People like Oliver doesn't know what love is. It's obviously he doesn't love himself so think if some one doesn't tell him every thing they don't love him.🙄🙄
I love this show but the constant going back and forth became too confusing and i (didn't lose interest per say....) gave up watching but continue to keep coming back to it. Excellent cast enough for me to still wanna know what happened w/ everyone in it :)
“Doesn’t matter... Cliffhanger” 😂😂😂
lmao too many cliffhangers!!!!
Been a year since I finished season 3 and tried starting season 4 tonight and forgot EVERYTHING that happened and was so lost until i saw this video, thank you! 💕
literally me too
U forgot laurel had an affair and got pregnant by Wes

This is no doubt the funniest recap I have ever seen 😹 ”Oliver, which; ’Will you spoon me?’ NO.” 😹😹😹😹😹😹😹
I always thought Michaela and Conner has so much chemistry. Now I find out IRL they a real couple.
Great recap, helped a lot. Only thing missing was the Nate/Annalese story line. Both romantic and framing Nate with murder.
Thank you! I wanted to leave that in, but that storyline seems to always get put on the backburner and never becomes important to the plot in any of the seasons besides the whole affair thing in the first season. I could relate to every cliff hanger. Thanks a lot for this video.
I thought laurel’s dad ordered Wes to be killed because Wes got Laurel pregnant
This was so helpful! Great editing too! Thank you so much 😊 Subscribed 👍🏼
Ahhhhh thank you for the feedback :) You're very welcome!
Thank you ! I couldn't remember any of this
I just finished watching ALL 6 seasons. Crazy twists, etc.
Super helpful, thank you so much for doing this! You really did an awesome job!
Starting season 5 on Netflix right now but forgot all the small plots from 1-4 so I’m here 😂
Season 5 isn't on netflix
Planning to watch the season 4 now and after watching this video, it reminded me why I lost interest and stopped watching after S3. But I definitely remember loving this series so much so going back to it . Thanks for the great recap!!
Was season 4 worth it? Stopped watching a longtime ago after season 3

Nice.. Will watch season 4 now... I am just worried I might get bored because of the cliffhangers.. Very good review of the first 3 seasons..
Season 4 is not boring . It’s very frustrating and infuriating
Great video. Thank you.
Thanks for an amazing recap & review, lo v e ur channel man! 🙂
“What’s going to happen with Rebecca’s remains?’ I see what you did with that wordplay there lol.
Thank you for the great recap ☺️
I LOVED THIS THANK YOU
Love your recap. I share your feeling and sad to see that it's even worse now...
I always wondered what happened to Laurel's mom
Either she really did disappear and went off the grid or laurel’s dad or brother kidnapped her .

THANK YOU FOR THIS
Not gana lie all when the series finish i still didnt believe that wes was dead
The memes make this at the end omg!!
Thanks a million. I had almost 2 cap years.
THANK YOUUUU I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT WAS CONFUSED.
Well .. About Simon , He was just an angry student , because he wasn't picked to become one of the Keating 5's.
He didn't do much tbh.

this was very helpfull, ty!
I'm currently on this season which is season 5 I can't remember anything about an adoption
One more: Why Laurel and Wes fell in love? Laurel seemed more interested in Frank.
Are you not going to do season 5 recap/review?😢
Kinda helped why I was confused in future seasons lol
best review thanks you,
Ammazing work, but unfortunately couldn't continue watching because of the music that absolutely doesn't fit the theme.

how to get away with murder is my favourite crime/drama tv show!! I especially loved season 3
good job
I stop watching it after season 3 and now I remember why. Should I give it a second chance and view season 4? I came to this video for that reason.
Do season 4!!!!! I neeeed it!!!!
I was thinking about that.... we'll see what shakes up ;)
