I put marks on the back side of the engine dip stick at 40 and 45 mm, I use it to check the transmission level when I do my oil change

My 2016 journey also bled from the overflow. When i checked my transmission fluid, it was actually overfilled from factory. Reading up on it, and i'm not the only one who received a journey with a bit too much tranny fluid in it, than it calls for. I still havn't released any out as it's been driving just fine for the past 40k kms.

I bought one of them dipsticks through Amazon and did not get any paperwork now I know where it's supposed to be at

Scan tool will work just fine to read the coolant temp.

How did this car act when low on tyranny fluid? I have a 2015 rt v6 can I get the same dip stick for it.
My car has been falli,g on its face. It wants to shift threw the gears and then lug. I can give it gas. But it won't shift down and go. It just lugs or drags along. But the next time I get in it. It eill run proper. Down shift and go when I want it to. What would you think is wrong with it

Figures, even though that engine looks like my 2018 Cherokee Latitude with V6, that chart doesn't list Cherokee Latitude, but next time I'm under the hood I will look for that well hidden trans cap.....

Did you run the shifter through all the gears before you checked the fluid level???

No that’s only when you do a drain and refill of the transmission fluid you will want to run it through all the gears and then check the level.

Have you noticed the transmission leaking at all? Sometimes it will whine if the transmission is low on fluid or the filter could also be getting clogged. How many miles is on it and has the fluid and filter ever been replaced?

No leaking, 71.000 miles and fluid and filter never replaced
