- It's been awhile! Yes, I still exist. :D
I've been busy and have not had a lot of time for my UA-cam channel over this summer as I spent a lot of time taking care of some other things, vacationing, etc. but I do plan to come back here in October and through the winter to bring you more great aviation content.
Big News!!
An exciting new development for me is that I have teamed up with BigJet TV to bring you some livestream planespotting shows on a regular to semi-regular basis from Chicago O'Hare and maybe/hopefully some other locations as my time and schedule permit. The steam will be called BigJet TV USA and will be streamed on the BigJetTV channel similar to their regular shows when the stream is active.
Stay tuned to BigJetTV social media for announcements and updates as to when these shows will be. I will also try to update you all here as well and/or on my social media outlets.

Another epic collection of aircraft. Opening with a rare 757-300 and towards the end the 747-400F of Cathay. I really liked the Iberia A330 too it kissed the runway. 👍 great filming

Hello again, Brother Jay. This is Guerry again, and as I promised, I’m back after viewing your video in its entirety. Thank-you so very much for the great show. I truly enjoyed it. So a couple of things I saw had my nose buried in “Google” for research. Just in case you weren’t the wiser, I’ll give you the highlights about what I discovered. Of course, if you already know the reasons, you can ignore me like you usually do (JUST KIDDING!).
The first thing that spurred my curiosity had to do with the modification to the A330F in order to extend the length of the nosewheel and level out the cargo deck. The actual question for me was, “Why not build the passenger A330 with a longer nosewheel?” After disregarding all the guesses in various blogs, the answer is that the nose down attitude of the A330 (and A340) was one of the compromises the engineers had to make in order to accommodate all the design features necessary for the aircraft. In fact, almost all aircraft designs require workarounds and compromises, but not all are as visible as what Airbus was required to do.
The other curiosity I had was in regards to “KLM Asia” vs. “KLM”. In short, mainland China will not allow commercial air carriers to fly to any of its cities if it also flies to Taiwan. In order to get around this prohibition, KLM created a subsidiary, KLM Asia. Now that everyone is happy, KLM is able to serve both countries.
I am glad you were able to capture the shot of the Delta 757 with the P&W engines. I think the 757’s equipped with the P&W engines look so much better than those with the RR engines. I’ve already researched the advantages and disadvantages of the long vs. short nacelles of each design, and everything balances out when it comes to performance. It is just that the shorter nacelle of the P&W engines look nicer to me.
I am glad you were able to capture back to back, head on views of the 737 NG and 737 MAX. For me, it was easy to discern the difference immediately between the two designs, despite each having almost identical appearances and before the side profile was in view. The NG variant’s engines had the familiar flattened bottom; whereas the MAX’s engines were noticeably rounder.
That is about all worth noting for me, although I did pick up on some other, very minor subtleties. For me, half the fun of watching plane-spotting videos is to concentrate on them and research the “why’s” when it comes to aircraft design. Thank-you again for taking the time to make this video for us. Oh yea! Congratulations on your live TV agreement. I hope to catch your show. I also hope that O’Hare cooperates with you and allows you to video/broadcast from ideal locations on the airport property.

How are you doing Mr. Jay? Although I am not viewing as much plane-spotting as before at this time, it is always great to catch you when you make a post. I have just started viewing your video and cannot watch it in its entirety now. But, I'll be back to complete its viewing and most likely add to my Pulitzer Prize winning comments in a day or two. But, I do see that you have used your secret decoder ring to do your video from the restricted area. Keep up the great work.
May I make a suggestion for you to try with your camera? Try to set its focus to infinity rather than use autofocus. This will keep the camera from focusing on the fence and keep the aircraft in focus as it passes your location. But, this is just a suggestion and will not keep me from viewing your videos and writing insulting comments (JUST KIDDING!). I'll see you later when I finish the video...
