NOTHING more beautiful than watching the 747 come in. They always look like they're coming in slow...floating. Best aircraft ever! Landed in cockpit jump seat of Qantas 747-400 once. Couldn't believe they let me do that. Perfect morning in Sydney. Thanks for sharing these awesome HD videos! You sure have the perfect spot at ORD.
Jay, as you told me on the last video, the planes are the ones that are awesome, but without you doing the video, we all cannot enjoy your great filming talent. We would never get to see the jet airliners if it was not for you. Awesome videoing indeed Jay. Thank you.
5:20 Wow,what a beautiful Livery United has on this 747! I know the A380 may be a nicer flight and more room.I don't know personally but the 747-400 & 747-800 plus the 787 Dream liner's are by far the most beautiful IMO.
This is definitely one of my favorite aviation videos on the internet. I absolutely loved it! Makes me want to be there. That airport is huge and busy!
I've been to Chicago Ohare airport to drop off my brother to fly to Europe! Planes are my absolute favorite thing ever! I love your channel and it's fun to watch planes take off at an airport I've been to many times!
Your videos are OUTSTANDING!!!! I live in Columbus Ohio. They've fenced out spotting here except from the parking garage roof. All you ever see is SW 737s. You give us a marvelous variety and assortment of aircraft and airliners. Wish I was more familiar geographically about where I'm looking with your videos. Great stuff. Thank you.
THNX for watching. Sometimes I can't be that clear about where I planespot because the places i go sometimes are given to me because of special permission from the business or owner of the property. To allow everyone to know the location makes everyone think they can also go there.... and then they get themselves in trouble. Instead I try to let folks know which runway it is and then let them figure it out. This is runway 28C.
Back in the day I used to sit on the shoulder of Irving Park Road and watch the planes; can't do that anymore, so your efforts are greatly appreciated!
+TXV900 I agree (obviously)..... millions of people from history's past generations would've likely given much to have the conveniences we have nowadays... THNX 4 watching!
Thank you for the video :) BTW Does the Airport security contact you guys when you are filming/taking pictures? I imagine that nowadays they are a bit more paranoid, due to security risks etc.
TXV900 When I was spotting at O'Hare, and whenever I do, I'm part of the security force there per ORD Airport Watch. So no, they don't really say much to me.
Really nice work. Great job of giving the feel of the busy beehive that ORD is. Great quality picture, and brilliant closeups. I had to tell someone once that the Jordanian airline was not "Air Jordan"...
Amazing job! I saw the Iberia aircraft a few minuets 2:08 into the video and noticed that you filmed this on Abril 5th. I was on this same aircraft from Madrid to Chicago on the A330 on Abril 12th! It was really turbulent with many people having to use the waste bags. I didn't, luckily. Great video nonetheless and thank you for sharing!
Fantastic Video! It is really interesting to see that many airlines are now putting wifi onto their aircraft! That Yangtze River Cargo B747 was a very hard landing! Liked
very nice and smooth vid capture. of all the best was air france cargo and the worst was yanche 747 when he landed the flaps shook hard and the left wing dipped pretty hard will watch your videos again thks for your hard work.
Thanks for watching! yes, some landings are bad and some are good but thankfully I haven't filmed any crashes yet. Flying is very safe compared to most other forms of travel.
As always a nice montage from ORD. A couple of observations - ouch on the Yangtze River Express 744BCF landing, and nice to see one of the last blue and white UA livery planes.
Incredible mix bro! Loved that NH T7 Star Alliance .. Happy to see ANA finally at Vancouver .. caught the inaugural 2 weekends ago! PUMPED .. Another stellar ORD special buddy! Well done
Thanks very much, man! Make me smile to see that folks like what I like. I haven't posted any new videos in a while but I plan to go spotting soon so stay tuned. been very busy with school and such recently.
Jay's HD Aviation & Plane Spotting Schooling is very important. No one can ever get to much education. I know you will upload soon :) Aviation has always appealed to me :) Thank you Jay for all you do :) :) :) ROCK ON!!!!!!
Some are also surprised at how feathered the 747's engines are at landing, rotating more slowly than one might think, yet still producing enough power to control.
Nice job Jay, sounds like you are spotting in the freight area just off Irving park road, judging by all the air brakes i am hearing in the back ground!
+johnny o a good guess.... lol. the location i was filming from in this video is private property and I was there by permission only. Thanx for watching!
Many cool memories here... growing up seeing these airplanes was special. I really wish I had more footage of the older liveries but unfortunately I started the filming game too late even though I have been spotting for many, many years.
Incredible video Jay!! I always forget how much international traffic O'hare gets. I think I might have to get to O'hare in the next couple years, depending on the green stuff, $ ;)
I find that a lot of people don't think of Chicago O'Hare as an internationally-diverse airport mainly because of large amounts of UA and AA traffic. I am glad you are noticing :) I'm trying to change that perception a little.
Jay's Aviation & Plane Spotting Your right, when I think of ORD I think of UA and AA primarily. But your doing a good job proving ones like me wrong ;)
Beautiful shot of that THY A330 :D I guess you would like to see their 777-300ER/A340-300's at KORD, would you ? I barely watch videos untill the end but your videos always stay interesting to watch because you see the plane in perfect detail and your camerawork is also very smooth :D
Really ? well they should come more often because Chicago is a very important city and thats the reason why they should only send their 777-300ER. I mean, we also get to see their A330-200's, sometimes :D
TANAY DEBNATH . WHAT I SAY YES ITS GOOD BUT I REALLY MISS SOME OLD PLANES JUST LIKE CONTENANTAL AIRLINES. OLD UNITED AIRLINES .AMERICAN AIRLINES THESE ARE NO MORE WE SAW ANY MORE SO SAD BUT THAT IS GOOD VEDEO THANK YOU.
This is a location really only for use by ORD Airport Watch members. The business location has given me special privileges and is requesting that I not mention the name of the location.
Somehow, the design of the Turkish Airlines plane's tailfin reminds me of what the Northwest Airlines tailfins looked like up until the Delta Airlines merger. Ex-Northwest aircraft can still be identified as they will be painted in Delta's colors with registration numbers that go N---NW. This includes Delta's entire Boeing 747-400 fleet and all of their Airbus A319s, A320s, and currently in service A330s.
Thanks for watching! This was just a simple old Sony HX200v... nothing super special... it's about a $400 camera. I currently use a later model of the same, a Sony HX300.
+Jay's O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD they were required to use COS tail logo as part of the merger. Wish they would switch back to their own one though.
True. The gray with blue on the bottom (called "battleship") is likely gone forever. The blue with the white "u" on the tail (called "Tulip") was the next livery after the gray but not all of the airplanes got painted in the new paint before the merger with Continental. When United merged with Continental (very recently) they decided to go with the old Continental paint job but instead wrote "UNITED" on it. They also have a few special liveries (including an old retro-Continental and retro-United.
Jay's O'Hare Aviation & HD Plane Spotting I sure miss the Battleship Gray. And Pluggit1953 the last Battleship gray aircraft, a 777, was ferried from London to Victorville CA, on February 21, 2012. One of the better liveries in aviation history I think.
UA-cam do be going crazy with these old recommendations. Great video!

I agree! Sadly they didn't have UAL 747 service for most of last year so I don't have many videos of them but I hope to get lots more this year.
Jay, as you told me on the last video, the planes are the ones that are awesome, but without you doing the video, we all cannot enjoy your great filming talent. We would never get to see the jet airliners if it was not for you. Awesome videoing indeed Jay. Thank you.
Very true, Stan. Thanks!

Groyd THNX 4 watching! Glad to hear. I am very lucky to be able to call ORD my home.
yes, it is lucky! :) I usually go to celeveland. They have almost no heavy/widebody planes anymore. makes me sad
Groyd
Maybe you should plan a trip to spot here sometime :)
I actually am, maybe this summer or autumn!
PIT is a nice airport, similar to CLE I think?
Simply can't get bored of watching your videos...
Thanks! i love sharing what i love most :)

YUMMM! What a tasty dinner with excellently filmed crosswind landings at one of my favorite airports in the US.
Chef Jay is always happy to serve up the finest of meals ;)
Amazing traffic, what a busy airport ! Fantastic the 747 landing at 03:42 !!
Agreed.
fantastic job, jay. one of the best times to go and spot with the lighting and more international airlines thank you for your hard work
A lot of great heavies in there. Loved the UAL 747s and AF Cargo trip-7!
To this day I never tire of watching planes. Amazing pieces of machinery
+watchinginaz same here! just because man's discovered the secret of flight and it's pretty commonplace doesn't mean it's lost any of it's magic...
Me neither
Agreed
Very nice!! I liked seeing those United B747-400's.

Some aircraft that we never forget about!
Thanks for watching!!
Ha ha ha, love how the United Boeing 747 at 8:09 sounds like a truck stopping. Good video
That's probably because there is a truck stopping in the background
I could watch your videos all day long.
+C Peters Wonderful to hear! I'm glad you enjoy them.... they take a lot of hard work to put together.
Back in the day I used to sit on the shoulder of Irving Park Road and watch the planes; can't do that anymore, so your efforts are greatly appreciated!
C Peters Awesome! THNX!
C Peters eh.... , not always ;) but I'd rather they rung with the sounds of jets than anything else. Sweet music.
Wow, best spotting video I have ever seen!
this is a brilliant video.
great quality, excellent editing, nice close ups.
thanks very much! unfortunately this location is now off-limits to everyone except employees.
There is something fascinating in watching plains, trains and ships.

Fantastic complication! Like the thumbnail, some pretty awesome aircraft, LIKED :)))

Wow. The United Tulip livery on it’s last legs. So cool to see it on the 747!
Many cool memories here... growing up seeing these airplanes was special. I really wish I had more footage of the older liveries but unfortunately I started the filming game too late even though I have been spotting for many, many years.

@@OHAREAVIATION Anytime man! Your channel was a big inspiration for me at the time.
Excellent video, many thanks, pity that B787 wasn't painted like the A330 on it's left! Many thanks, huge like!
oh well. We can hope ;) maybe EIN will bring an A350 in next year or something.
Now that would be great! I still have not seen any of their 757's yet, the weather is just lousy. Thanks for the vids and stay safe!
Beautiful shot of that THY A330 :D
I guess you would like to see their 777-300ER/A340-300's at KORD, would you ?
I barely watch videos untill the end but your videos always stay interesting to watch because you see the plane in perfect detail and your camerawork is also very smooth :D
Thanks for watching! I try ;) I have actually seen both of those, the THY 773 and the A343 at ORD before but I wish they still flew here regularly.
Really ? well they should come more often because Chicago is a very important city and thats the reason why they should only send their 777-300ER. I mean, we also get to see their A330-200's, sometimes :D

Awesome, amazing Video!!!
Your post rocks!
thanks for watching!
great vid
Only 10 years back and aviation was much more interesting… In 2014 there was something else than only a330/350 or 777/787 twinjets.
Fan-Tabulous Vudeo mate!!!
Thanks-a-licious!!
Great filming Jay! I've probably asked you this before but I don't remember, where were you filming?
This is a location really only for use by ORD Airport Watch members. The business location has given me special privileges and is requesting that I not mention the name of the location.
Thanks for watching!
Well done!! Thumbs UP!!
Nice one mate! Awesome view though
Thanks, mate!
Malinda Rajapakse
Briliant video!!!
16:27 that National takeoff was phenomenal!
+Ryan Cozzubbo i agree! Pilots did a great job. glad I was able to catch it and film it as well as I did.
Good shots! What runway is it?
Somehow, the design of the Turkish Airlines plane's tailfin reminds me of what the Northwest Airlines tailfins looked like up until the Delta Airlines merger. Ex-Northwest aircraft can still be identified as they will be painted in Delta's colors with registration numbers that go N---NW. This includes Delta's entire Boeing 747-400 fleet and all of their Airbus A319s, A320s, and currently in service A330s.
yep! a good tip to remember. I miss NWA a lot.
nice to see the newly repainted AA embraer
glad I could bring you a vid of it! thanks for watching.
Excellent video quality! Could I ask what camera and telephoto lens you used here? Love it.
Thanks for watching! This was just a simple old Sony HX200v... nothing super special... it's about a $400 camera. I currently use a later model of the same, a Sony HX300.
Man those little United planes are UGLY, however the B747-400's look amazing! Good job on the video. Subbed!
yeah,... unfortunately United does need to make a livery of their own in future instead of simply borrowing COA's. Thanks for watching!
How are they ugly?
olivia marie They just are!
+Jay's O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD they were required to use COS tail logo as part of the merger. Wish they would switch back to their own one though.
United have the old Continental livery, plus an old fashioned looking white with blue stripes, and a lead grey coloured one.
One of the better liveries in aviation history I think.
fspilot1000
I miss the old United colors quite a bunch as well.....
The merger colors are sleek and clean don't get me wrong, but they sure aren't anything unique..
fspilot1000
Very old and very '90s. but yes, professional looking.
Woah, is that AeroMexico landing a common occurrence? The plane seemed to be bobbing up and down as it approached and it looked scary.
They were battling crosswinds I'm pretty sure and yeah, that's fine. I've done the same thing in a C172 myself.
Jay, I love that National 747
Thanks, Joel! i do too. Thanks for all you do for us planespotters.
