bless you for this labor, sib! after years of acting like i didn't know what my main role within this practice was, you came with the confirmation in this video! the part where you said "you may be an artist who is translating ancestral downloads" had me jumping out my chair. thank you for being here 🤲🏽🖤✨
I appreciate this so much. I found Hoodoo after 10 years as a psychotherapist. I’m trying to figure out how I can merge my Hoodoo heritage and my gifts as a therapist/healer.
I learned from my mom in Louisiana there was a tree in the community ancestors would send thoughts through. And different people would leave messages with it for another person.
I feel like Hoodoo should be reserved for African Americans. It’s aside from the diaspora wars situation, every group of people has their own spirits based on their own bloodline. I believe people should go to their own ancestors before they come to ours.
I'm from Cameroon and my immediate family are muslim and christian but many of my cousins, distant aunts and uncles and ancestors were practitioners. Now I'm trying to come back to those roots.
The vast majority of elders won’t teach non African Americans. You should always look to your own ancestors first. You have your own traditions that are probably better suited to you bc hoodoo is based on the power of the enslaved Africans on US soil anyway.
Xolani unfortuantely this is the first time I discovered you, so I missed the course. :-( However this was a fabulous intro video and I'm looking forward to learning more from your channel.
I'm teaching it one more time. It starts on Sept 16th and there are payment plans available (via PayPal). The information is on the website, there's 2 spots left for this Fall. www.bluebottletree.xyz/hoodoo-foundations I hope to see you there.
I admire you...us you wish put tune and intonation of your words...from the word INTO-NATION...all nations and languages hears you....your a flat person whom you didn't want us to offend your opinion or capability to give light each mind and soul and I didn't want you to offend....tune and intonation is very important to let every-body is understand..peace be with us..
00:34 - “I’m not finna argue with you. Argue with your ancestors.” I know that’s right, Xolani!
Who you by the way?
Your ancestors is my ancestor!my ancestor is your ancestors!did you hear what you say?
OKAY! 🙌🏽 Thank you for watching, sib!

I love the responsibilities section.
Found your channel not to long ago. Very impressive. I infuse my hoodoo in my work of death doula, and transitional life coach. Thanks for sharing.
I love that Sophia! That's incredibly intentional and necessary work. Thank you for watching and being here. 💗

You talk like you hate yourself
You forgot to add Hispanics. They can practice hoodoo as well
Says who?
@@TheBrokenProphet says me. Hoodoo isn’t black only. That’s a crock of crap. Hoodoo is infused heavily with modern Catholic. This is a fact
@@TheBrokenProphet When I saw the title I thought of you.
Good luck trying to find an elder to teach you. Especially with that attitude. Our ancestors probably wouldn’t deal with you either.
