@@HaussmannComics-xd3gnprobably because of the new 52 2012 was a massive year for dc and new 52 opened the door for all these yearly super retcon events like dark nights metal cuz dc can’t decide what they want to do 😭
There's a lot I appreciate about this particular video. In addressing what was going on in the world at the time and Columbine, you very succinctly explained both the purpose of escapism entertainment and the need to acknowledge and reflect on what's happening around us. To each, it's proper measure Thank you, I greatly, GREATLY appreciate that. I love the use of the Mega Man X 4 music in the background, it really serves to transport those of us who experienced those times into the mindset/ vibe of them. Plus it's just damn awesome/ cool. People really crap on the swimsuit issues of comics, but they were just whatever. I enjoyed them when I could sneak a peak at comics at the time. In the tech age we live in when kids can access adult "content" on their phones whenever they want, furries are a thing, kids are being busted making AI generated "content" about each other and we're consistently seeing news stories about young teachers having "encounters" with kids, hearing people complain about comic swimsuit issues like they were/ are a corrupting influence seems quaint, like Storm talking about skin color-based prejudice in the X-Men TAS episodes for "One Man's Worth". I really enjoy the mixture of raw presentation and your editing style. Your earnest effort gives your channel sincerity and authenticity that more established, slickly curated channels lack. The bits you leave in with dialogue flubs, mistakes with corrections, and the bit at the end of this video showing how/ where you were recording using a Pepsi propping up your phone in a microwave really make what you do in your videos resonate. Never lose that honest-to-goodness approach, sir. I'm hoping the comment you left on Panels to Pixels channel drives eyes your way. I've recommended your channels to people I know. I'm eagerly awaiting that Sabertooth video you mentioned. Thanks for taking us back to April ot '99. Looking forward to the trip to May of '99 next month. Stay Haussy (Haussie?), sir 🖖
It’s insane how much of a monolith the X-Men were back in the 90s
It's funny. I was just looking up September 2012 for shits and giggles and marvel had the number 1 comic but 2-15 were all DC

You're not wrong.....
Why are swimsuit specials “sadly”?
Hot gals in skimpy swimwear?
Hell yeah!!!!
