Hi Tori, Michael Clarke Duncan (John Coffey - The Green Mile) sadly passed in 2012. The person you saw was Ving Rhames who is also a very talented actor.
Here is another interesting fact, the original Guardians of the Galaxy made their debut in January 1969 in Marvel Super-Heroes #18, the same month and year Dave Bautista (Drax) was born on January 18, 1969
Nebula's feeling toward Gamora seem to be based a bit on Ferris Bueller and his sister. Gamora always beat Nebula, so once it became clear to her that she was going to win the fight, she was content. Similar to Ferris Bueller's sister feeling he never gets caught. Once he did in fact get caught by the principal, she had what she wanted, then helped him out of the trouble he was in.

Okay, here's me showing my comic nerd side. Marvel often explained that what is drawn in comics that showed cosmic beings or other dimensional things that our puny human intellects can't possibly understand we perceive in the most convenient way possible, to keep us from having our minds explode. So, when we see a brain, we are seeing something we can't understand in the simplest form for us to understand. Hence, a Celestial "brain" looks like a brain to us. Much easier for the comic book artist to deal with, too. 'Nuff said.
Original Comic Book Yondu was a spiritual, Shaman like warrior. he didn't need a "fin" to control his arrow (it wasn't technology, but a special sound-sensitive metal called "Yakka")...he did have a huge natural fin/mohawk called a "talhei" which was revealed to be made of compressed hair follicles
I was almost 50 years old when I saw this movie theatrically, and when Yondu made his sacrifice, it actually brought me to tears. This movie is all about fathers and sons.
I love the song by Fleetwood Mac song The Chain in this movie and my favorite song by the band. I sen them live in Milwaukee Wisconsin at Summerfest in 2002. I didn’t know much of them when I seen them in concert. When I seen them live I knew a whole bunch of songs when seeing them live. Such an amazing band and Stevie is so amazing to see live. The band Tantric did an amazing cover of the song
32:54 earlier in the movie, the high priestess mentioned that she didn’t mind if they blew up the batteries if it meant blowing up the guardians too. So where the batteries are doesn’t matter to them as much as where the guardians are since they took great offense to the act of stealing itself.
Wooo next Marvel movie knew you guys would love Baby groot 😊i love Guardians of the galaxy vol 2 slightly more than the first i love the soundtrack Kurt Russell as Ego is amazing that shock realisation that he "put that tumour in her head"Hannah your face and reaction summed it up perfectly😱the soundtrack is amazing, they introduced one of my favourite characters Mantis. But for me its the character growth in this movie especially between Yondu and Peter,Yondu and Rocket and Nebula and Gamorra and the Ravager funeral Scene will forever be one of my favourite scenes in Marvel its gets me in the feels everytime 😭and so many iconic quotes"I'm Mary poppins y'all ""He may have been your father boy but he wasnt your daddy""He didnt let us down after all captain." "No he did not son no he did not!"awesome reaction as always guys!
Of Note; The Zune was Microsoft's answer to the iPod mp3 player and was a spectacular failure. It literally only sold a few thousand units, not hundreds of thousands, just thousands 😯🤣😀
You might want to upgrade to over a million . Certainly nowhere near the numbers Apple was moving, but several orders of magnitude bigger than your claim of 'a few thousand'. But regardless: it was a good joke in the movie.
@@RuntotheMovies Omg yes. She is with me all the time. I’m disabled and she is nearly 19, so we are both here at home nearly all the time. She wants to be near or on me nearly all the time, and I love her so much; she is in good health for her age so I hope she makes it into her 20’s. I said when she hits 20, we’re gonna have some kinda celebration. I wish I could share a pic on yt
Take it back to Blade. That Marvel character & how they did that movie is how Marvel Universe should have been. Loved the singing, btw. Hope to hear more.
The truth is EGO is a bigger dick then Quill he’s just more Studly then Quill. Of course it makes sense to have both Kurt Russel and Sylvester Stallone in a movie together. We haven’t seen these two Actors Star in a movie together since Tango And Cash in the 80’s.
I think I'll have to reserve who my favorite GOTG character is having watched the rest of the films and I would maybe end up spoiling something. But I think I know who yours is going to end being and I'll leave it at that. Anyone else who has watched the rest also already knows who I mean.
Hey Hannah Be sure y'all do a reaction to Spider-Man: Homecoming after this movie. And Michael Clarke Duncan died in 2012 And do a reaction to Predator 2 next month on Valentine's Day
Well, it's not every day you discover your biological father is a deity, trying to merge with the universe and cancer kills your mother, that's what happened to Starlord.
Stallone, Ving Rhames, Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor from Smallville) et al were intended to be in this basically as cameos and then get their own whole separate movie. So it was a little cameo to set up another movie or franchise. But then Marvel completely lost its way and it never happened.

Do you think Quill is still immortal or is that power really gone now?
It’s gone for sure, and his name is Star-Lord.
If Peter is immortal then Yondu's sacrifice was pointless...
I’m sure the power of his heritage will return someday.
You definitely have to do a reaction to the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special after endgame, you will love it...

Thank you so much for clearing that up for me 😊 I had no idea john passed 😢
@@Tori14537 Yeah..... Michael Clarke Duncan was taken from us all too soon.
My mom also thought it was Michael Clarke Duncan when we rewatched the movie in 2021
Probably most known as Marsellus Wallace from Pulp Fiction
What a terrific sequel. Sequel done right.
I really love kraglins reaction to the ravinger funeral. Always almost gets me.

Absolutely 😊❤
You MUST MUST take in the Christmas Special before Guardians 3. It's important
Thanks for the suggestion!
@@RuntotheMovies Even if you don't put it on here, it has some pertinent reveal. And is very funny. It's a short view as well
Fun Fact: Stallone's crew were the original Guardians of the Galaxy in the comic.

We learned in the last movie that celestials have brains. Knowhere was the severved head of a celestial. Drax almost drowned in it's brain fluid.

I couldn't agree more !!
Rest in peace, Yondu. A true Ravager and real father figure to Star Lord.

He thinks, therefore he is.
I can’t say anything until you two see volume 3 but Rocket > Quill > Nebula > Drax in that order
Love that tori hannah are back with marvel.
We are just as excited 😊 ❤
You should give a try to Once Upon a Time in America (1984). It's with De Niro and James Woods. A real masterpiece!

Why doesn’t he just call himself Tazer? Whenever someone offends him he takes the Shit out them Tazer! Makes sense live up to the Theme of your Name.
