Finally able to post this one! I had to play around and mute the audio a lot because UA-cam kept claiming it every time🤬 BUT HERE WE ARE!! I had a blast, as usual! 🖤

Before you see the third Guardians watch - 'The Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special' It ties in with the third movie and will fill in details to parts off Guardians vol. 3
Yondu surprised me. I never thought I would get misty eyed about him. The Zune is a continuing joke. It was Microsoft's answer to the iPod. Heard of Zune lately? In its way it's as obsolete as Peter's original Walkman. "Now I know how Yondu felt." Peter is growing up... 😆
The songs Gunn picked for this one were the best of the trilogy. The first one had a good amount of mainstream hits, but here there were songs that were either forgotten or from bands that don't even exist anymore.
Regarding Nebula she wasn’t mad at Gamora because Gamora always won and she wasn’t strong enough. She grew to despise her because Gamora never even considered her sisters safety over her own which actually kinda sucks because they were all they had. It’s like if your parents constantly pited you against your sibling and the loser got tortured. Of course you don’t want to be tortured but, would you try to keep your sibling from that fate? Or at least let her win sometimes so she isn’t constantly tortured. At the very least they could’ve shared the pain in Nebulas eyes Gamora didn’t care about her so all she had to turn to was hate.
26:17 that scene pretty much confirms that Stan Lee is playing "himself" as The One Above All, in the whole MCU, those guys around him are called The Watchers, a very powerful alien race that have access to the multiverse as observers although they do interfere from time to time, so He's just basically chatting his adventures looking over The Avengers
Why Groot grew so fast might be because he was right down at Ego's core and picked up some of the Celestial energy that was there. In a later film we find out there is a new celestial growing on Earth. That might explain why Quill carried the celestial genes and also why several Infinity Stones were on Earth at various times, out of a whole Universe they could have been at.
"He's doing his best" Evie you're adorable. On the subject of Kurt Russell I recommend Big Trouble in Little China & the iconic Escape from New York. Ironically he team with Sly Stallone in another movie Tango & Cash.
Hi Evie, great to see you!😊 I hope all is well in Canada! It is a good idea to watch "The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special" (2022) before you watch "Vol. 3". Something important is revealed in the special.😉 Both Yondu and Nebula probably had the most growth here. It is to bad Yondu died after we got to know him better. Great reactions to your second Guardians film, Evie!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏
39:00 "I guess Peter's dad wanting to expand and be all there is was because he's a god. Well, maybe he was able to do it because he's a god. I mean, I can't do it because I'm not a god. Thinking he's the most awesome thing that deserves to be everything in the universe is quintessentially egotistical, so it's pretty obvious that he's want to do this. If he didn't, he probably would not be the divine personification of Ego.
Before you get too far into the rest of the MCU movies i would recommend Watching the 2 Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies! Amazing reaction and your laughter always makes me smile!! Best wishes always!! 🙂❤
I normally not a fan of the "you must see this to understand that" line of thinking, but for once I agree. You really should watch all three Toby movies as well as both Garfield movies, even if they ruined the Green Goblin story.
just watched your video or just finished watching your video rather and I loved your reaction so I went and subscribed to your channel and I’m currently watching your Lucifer reactions because I absolutely loved that show anyways can’t wait to see more reactions and keep up the good work
Let me give you some guardians Volume 2 facts. Baby Groot is the previous Groot son. Peter Quill was not the Son of Ego there by making him half celestial because ego was not a celestial and Ego had no relation to Peter. Celestial are on the high tier of gods and asgardians are on the low tier of The godly level of power. Sylvester Stallone character to Takar with the other ravager head leaders in the post credit scene with yondu were one of the original guardians of the Galaxy team long before the current team lineup. This movie take place 2 months after the original 2014 movie. There is a sort of canonized series called I am Groot that you should check out on your own despite it taking place in phase 4 that won't spoil anything going forward.
Disney was allowed to use Ego if the let Fox change up Negasonic Teenage Warhead's powers for the Deadpool movie. At the time Fox had Ego since he was a Fantastic Four character.
In this film, the facts are that Ego is a celestial and Peter is his son. He is half-human, half-celestial. The film story is not supposed to be equated with the actual comic book story. The film characters are not to be confused with the actual comic book characters. Obsessing over all the characters and their different iterations will only bring you madness.
@@Stogie2112 MCU characters & stories are frequently different from their comic counterparts. For example, the comic Hulk was created when Banner was exposed to a gamma ray bomb (back in the 60s all heroes were created by exposure to radioactivity; today it's all genetic manipulation. either way it's "magic").
@@Caseytify ….. Yes, which is why I caution people to not get too caught up in all their different iterations. Drax the Destroyer is another good example. The film character is extremely different than the comic book character. Hard core Marvel fans hate him! 😲
@@Stogie2112not really I’m a hard core marvel fan and I find Drax fine I think people get to caught up in this shit and just need to realise this is an interpretation of this character and not the comic version
A couple of good Kurt Russell movies to consider: Escape From New York, which was from the early eighties starring Kurt Russell as a character named Snake Plissken who is commandeered to rescue the president. A lot of fun and very campy. The second that I recommend is miracle, where is stars is the real life person Herb Brooks who was the coach of the 1980 USA Olympic hockey team and is the story of how they won the gold medal.
I feel like so few people laugh at, “You shouldn’t have killed my mom and squished my Walkman.” It’s one of my favorite jokes, clearly they are crimes of equal magnitude in Quill’s mind, just strikes me as funny, glad you laughed at it.
My daughter loves to identify her friends and family with fictional characters (for example, she considers herself Percy Jackson because she’s dyslexic, ADHD, and aggressively defensive of her friends). She calls me Drax all the time (I’m fairly large and very literal with no filter), but I’d rather be compared with Yondu (though GotG3 will explore Drax’s paternal nature as well) because he was such a good “daddy” to Peter. Whenever I do something to “save” her (ie, explaining a complex math problem in her homework or fixing one of her favorite toy), I’ll say “I’m Mary Poppins y’all.” I hated they killed him (though it made his character so much better), I also have to say Michael Rooker is probably the most underrated actor. When he plays the a-hole, you really hate him (i.e. Walking Dead (keep in mind I got bored with the series and never knew if he returned) or Days of Thunder) but if he’s a good guy (like GotG) you love him.
Hey, Evie! Slapstick and sentiment are what this franchise is about! Much like Vol. 1, "Guardians Vol. 2" was an acquired taste for me since the characters differ so radically from the '90s Valentino era and lack the nuance of the '00s Abnett/Lanning era. I take science fiction very seriously. Its deeper themes and allegorical references resonate deeply with me making it a challenge to immerse myself in these goofy antics. The plot centers on the mystery of Quill's parentage revealing that he is half-Celestial whereas he is half-Spartoi in the comics, a prince of one of Marvel's staple interstellar civilizations. In spite of changes such as that, these movies, much like the team, prevail against all odds delivering endings that pack an emotional wallop! James Gunn earns my admiration each time for pushing the boundaries, diving deep and bringing impossible characters like Ego to vivid life! It takes a wildly creative sensibility and a deep affection for this mythology to get this many disparate parts to mesh properly and Gunn has both in spades. I cannot wait to see what he does with that tease for Adam Warlock. The production has an incredibly varied aesthetic that is a feast for the eyes including the golden realm of the Sovereign, the neon-lit tundra of Contraxia, the misty forested world of Berhert, and the lush splendor of Planet Ego. Traditionally a Thor villain, Ego the Living Planet is difficult to comprehend and challenging to render so I give Gunn tremendous credit for reducing him to a relatable stature while retaining his planet-with-a-face appearance. He does get an upgrade to Celestial status but he is his own entity in the comics. The Celestials are titanic armored space gods with Knowhere station being one of their severed heads! Despite varying from their comic counterparts, the returning cast is as game as before including Chris Pratt as Peter Quill aka Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Michael Rooker as Yondu Udonta, Sean Gunn as Kraglin and Karen Gillan as Nebula. Bautista is a stand-out who continues to mine Drax for impressive comedy gold but Rooker steals the show with Yondu's gut-wrenching death scene! Also returning are a high-pitched Vin Diesel as Baby Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon who remain the only Guardians adapted faithfully except in one regard. According to Gunn, Baby Groot is the offspring of the original Groot rather than a regrown Groot retaining the same memories as in the comics. New characters are Ego, a sentient world that manifests as a man to pollinate other worlds across the universe with his essence! He is played by Kurt Russell as an expansive, avuncular aging hipster who is digitally de-aged to his 1980 likeness in the prologue. Pom Klementieff charmingly plays his empathic pet Mantis who is given a completely different personality than in the comics although she gets to keep her antennae! Elizabeth Debicki plays golden-skinned Ayesha aka Kismet who is transformed into the haughty High Priestess of a golden-skinned species known as the Sovereign. Sylvester Stallone plays Stakar Ogord aka Starhawk whose complex comic backstory is simplified to that of a respected Ravager Captain. He is accompanied by his First Officer, Martinex, a crystalline Plutonian played by Michael Rosenbaum of "Smallville". Both represent a nod to the Valentino Guardians of the '90s. Chris Sullivan plays the traitorous Ravager Taserface whose unfortunate name is actually an authentic deep dive into the comics! Returning in small roles are Laura Haddock as a pre-cancerous Meredith Quill, Gregg Henry as Grandpa Quill, Wyatt Oleff of "It" as young Peter and Seth Green voicing Howard the Duck seen patronizing a Contraxian brothel! In bit parts, Brit character actor Tommy Flanagan plays Tullk, a Ravager loyal to Yondu, Ben Browder of "Farscape" plays a Sovereign Admiral and Elizabeth Ludlow of "The Walking Dead" plays a distressed alien mother fleeing from Ego-matter. Michelle Yeoh as Aleta the Arcturan and Ving Rhames as Charlie-27 the Jovian appear briefly at the Ravager funeral and in one of the end-credit scenes as another Valentino tribute. TRIVIA: 1. James Gunn wore a motion capture suit and served as the model for Baby Groot's opening dance sequence! 2. Vin Diesel had actual scripted lines written for his eyes only so that he could inflect "I am Groot" appropriately. 3. The idea of a self-aware brain like Ego's spontaneously coming into existence is a philosophic thought problem proposed by physicist Ludwig Boltzmann! 4. In between Guardians films, Nebula stunt double, Olivia Jackson, fractured the left half of her face, suffered a traumatic brain injury and had her left am severed in a motorcycle stunt gone wrong! 5. The Zune was an actual Microsoft digital music player developed in 2006 that was discontinued due to its lack of popularity! EASTER EGGS: 1. When Peter is granted cosmic awareness by Ego, his eyes fill with stars and he says he sees eternity. This is a reference to Eternity, the personification of the universe in Marvel comics, who appears as a silhouetted humanoid whose form is filled with starscapes. 2. The larger replacement head-fin that Yondu wears makes him look more like Centaurians do in the comics. 3. Cosmo the canine cosmonaut and Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster from "Thor: Ragnarok" are seen in the credits themselves frolicking. 4. Among Stakar's reassembled Ravager team in the end-credits is Krugarr, a red, serpentine alien from a species known as Lem. He is a member of the '90s Valentino Guardians and the 31st-century Sorcerer Supreme! 5. Seen listening to Stan Lee are Watchers, a race of observers who monitor all that transpire in the universe but never interfere. Uatu is the Watcher assigned to Earth who observes us from his dwelling on the Moon. 6. This is a tease for the introduction of Adam Warlock! 4. Quill scolds a now-teen Groot to clean his vine-littered room to which he replies with obnoxious, disrespectful iterations of "I am Groot"! 5.
