@@gus_smith Hikaru predicted that Eric would premove and intentionally hung his own rook to attack Eric's rook. Normally, that'd be a dumb move to do, because Hikaru would have lost his rook, since Eric could have easily taken it, but because Eric had premoved, he couldn't react to it, and Hikaru won the rook. :P

If he does that, black has checkmate on D1 with the queen. ^_^ Notice it's a back-rank style checkmate because the black queen would cover E2, as well as the back rank, and white's own pawns prevent the king moving to the other squares. :)
