[4K] Walking from Olvera Street to Chinatown in Downtown Los Angeles, California USA

- The historic Olvera Street or Calle Olvera is one of the oldest parts of Downtown Los Angeles. It is part of the El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic Monument. Founded in 1781, it was originally called Vine Street then in 1877, it was renamed to Olvera Street in honor of Agustin Olvera. In 1930, Olvera Street officially opened as a Mexican Marketplace.
Few blocks away from Olvera Street is the new Chinatown. The old Chinatown was originally located right next to Olvera Street but was demolished to make way for what is now the Union Station.

Interesting area
wow dude. great stroll around Chinatown. But can someone tell what is Chinatown,? is it a suburb or tourist destination?
Hi Varad, Chinatown is part of a city (mostly exist in big cities) where a large population of Chinese people lives in and forms a community. They become tourist destinations because you'll get to experience the authentic Chinese culture - from food, tradition, and religion.
Wind Walk Travel Videos , wow.. Thank you very much for info
Also, to expand on the previous reply, there is a large area about 8 miles east of what is shown in the video where a lot of younger Chinese and Taiwanese people live, shop and eat--mainly in the Monterey Park and Alhambra suburbs. It's very different from the neighborhood in the video. The area shown in the video is the Historic Chinatown where a lot of the older Chinese people live and visit. I have fond memories of going as a child to that shopping center at the end of the video shown. Unfortunately, the center looks like it's going through hard times. Hopefully, the Chinatown shown in the video will be renovated so more people will come.
This video is also iPhone video? Like all of them?
if you have 360 VR on these 4k videos then i can have vacation right at home
China Town must be the cleanest and safest place to live in Los Angeles. You do not see a scrap of paper or trash on the streets anywhere. What a difference from the slums, filth and homeless shown in the other walking tours of that city I have watched. If I ever go to LA, I believe China Town would be the only place I'd feel safe and comfortable.
Lois Austin is that because they are your people?
