AS DARKNESS FALLS AND ARABIA CALLS
ONE MAN SPREAD HIS WINGS AND THE STORY BEGINS
Love the new designs! And what a compelling history of the Arab Revolt!
Also, I still think the title "Lawrence of Arabia" belongs in a classic Disney movie...
Love this video!
What movie?
There is a movie called “Lawrence of Arabia” but it’s live action, and quite old, but a great movie
The original live action version was in Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start The Fire". It originally came out in 1962
Lawrence wrote "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom " afterwards and it presents his side of things in a very thoughtful way. I have read the book, seen the movie, and even noticed references to it in popular media over the years, namely in the Pink Panther episode "Pink Sphinx " and the comedy movie "The Hollywood Knights " where there's even a goofy song....
Lawrence went through a lot of bad times during that war, and he lived to see the people he wanted to help get royally screwed by the diplomats of his day. I admire his work and dedication to the good fight.
Great job! Making vids much faster than oversimplified but i still love both!
you know oversimplified is doing the video by himself and he is definiton of quality over quantity
Honestly, Oversimplified has some competition from Things I Care About.
I learn more about history from UA-cam than I did from my entire education. You guys make history fun, and fuel a fire to learn I forgot even existed. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
It's so amazing to see your channel grow. You have your own sponsor as well now :D
Honey wake up things i care about uploaded
Wake up I care about uploaded
Well, having different voices for different characters is certainly new.
10/10 animations
By this point I've just accepted that the British are a main character in every UA-cam history video and there's nothing I can do to stop it.
Either them ir the yanks
French
America
QUICK LITTLE PROMISE TO THE ARABS, MORTY!
IN AND OUT BEFORE CHRISTMAS!
Finally something to watch on UA-cam I’ve been bored for days
Mr. Terry sent me. I better not be disappointed!
0:22 Oh so that was the Gallipoli campaign…
The Britannic, sister ship to Titanic, was sent as a hospital ship to recover the wounded from there. She sank and hit a mine on November 21st, 1916, only a year or so in service…
The whole titanic family is cursed
Yay! Finally!
I hope people notice the special treat in this video!
You son of a vee! Im sold to this!
Congrats on finishing your latest project, and also for getting DoH and Mr. Terry involved as voice actors.
Can u give me the time of Mr Terrys voice acting :)
@@dominikytguest4185 4:08 He voices T. E. Lawrence.
@@seanmg9356 thanks
I like the new style here! 😁 It's a bit funny you post this video the same time I watch the movie Lawrence of Arabia from 1962! 😅 Great video! It was nice to get more context behind the events of the Arab Revolt in such an entertaining fashion!
Really good and interesting video. I have never seen this covered so well
Yay!! Finally! I've been waiting on this new episode! 😆
Not gonna lie, that ad transition would have been better if you had just jumped into it, instead of announcing the transition. Very well done, buddy! I look forward to seeing many more videos! Anybody whining about the animation, FUGG 'EM! The story is what is important, not the animation. Some people have forgotten that
How would have it been better? I think it was pretty good as it is, jumping straight to it breaks the flow of the video, he did it just like Oversimplified does it (It's a genuine question, I dont want to come off as rude)
Nice, I was looking at your channels for your older videos and then shocked with this, 20 minutes ago, dang.
this is amazing, great work man
This is awesome man
Keep up the good work!
this is new and i like it!
hes back keep up that good work big dawg
Right on!
This new style is amazing! Great video and congrats on the sponsor!
I like having your own style makes it different from other animated history channels.
Loving the video, you’re great to listen to
10:42 “well equipped”
As an Arab myself, your Arabic jokes made me smile. god bless you
I appreciate that you've now got a unique design, especially good since OS is back.
Glad you posted. Always happy to see one of your videos.
Good bro,the new animation looks awesome and funny combined with the topic (this portion of history) was really captivating and fun to learn. As always your hard work and talent always shines
Nicely done! Can’t wait for the next video!!
Dude thank you I v been looking for a good animated film about this
Awesome video style, including commentary, humour and ur own more unique animation style! ❤ we're all looking forward to seeing ur channel grow and evolve buddy 😊
Nice video! Although i need to get used to the new style. You are really Oversimplified's Successor!❤
Well, considering oversimplified keeps working on new videos, only at a mich slower pace... With the new style i would claim this channel is more likely OS's european (prob. German) cousin
Keep up the amazing work have a good day
I like this new style. Much more unique. Keep it up.
Great Video Man. Looking forward for more banger videos.😍
The new art style gives me some Phineas and ferb/Rick and Morty vibes. Still really good tho!
Love the new art style!
Great video and a unique style
Great work
Good job. Love your videos.
Love this channel
This channel deserves more views/subs
Me when I started watching😒
Me when I’m watching this😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Love this new art style it’s like a mix of the simple history and oversimplified art style I like it 👍
Nice video has always
18h 9.4k watching this tomorrow
This a month after the Vietnam video is crazy love to see it
I also love that there different voices per character it makes it better
When I see your first and older videos I said “Oh, come on; drawings, music and style all the same with Oversimplified!”. But now I can see the progress clearly. You have your own style and topics are great. Wonderful! Is there any chance you to prepare Crusaders and Age of Discovery?? Brilliant video again thankss
Thank you for the kind words! I never thought my first videos would be watched by so many people, so I focused on just learninhg to animate. Now I want to ensure that I respect OS and be my own thing
I like that yoy take new topics for videos and use a new artistic style for it
Whoa, I see the artstyle has gone to a whole new level!
Most underrated channel on UA-cam
You got sponsor. Glad you are getting that bag
I thought I didn’t like the new designs but now I LOVE THEM
as an Arab, the video is amazing! I hope you do more videos that explain modern-Arab historical events, liked and subscribed !
Excellent work my friend, as your works quality is improving and becoming more recognizable from other channels, just a quick question, what country you from??? Cause i assume you're not american 'cause of your accent, bro... Anyway, solid work. Keep it up that way
Thanks for the kind comment! I was born in Germany, raised in Chile
Suddenly the inspiration for dune clicked for me
a great youtuber to watch while oversimplified is making his videos
Amo estos videos
4 minutes ago. Love your videos! :)
I didn't know that I needed a British Drawn of History cameo, but now I can't believe I ever lived without it😅
WHEN THE DARKNESS FALLS, AND ARABIA CALLS,
i like the new art style
Happy juggalo day
Omg Mr. Terry was in this?
Cool nice development. Hope you can make video about my country 🇰🇿
This deserve more views.. Do one for the biafra war.. Bisi on UA-cam have a great documentary on the war
Nice style.
Great movie too
The Arabs actually did well enough to have a bartering chip years later.
Whilst the French and British were busy repartitioning Ottoman lands into their own territory thru the Picot-Sykes Agreement, the bottom half of the subcontinent was left partially independent whereas the western powers only cared about the more lush Levant region.
Unbeknownst to them, the lower half of the subcontinent was where it all kicked off and came back as a full circle. So just over there, there's 2 faction that was involved in the previous revolt but had stark contrast on how the future of the Arab world would be and that's the Husseins and the Sauds. Despite the dispute between authority of powers for both factions, even internally for the Husseins, things were not all rosy.
The Husseins themselves had always seen themselves as a sort-of protector for all of the Arab world and thus the older Hussein wanted everything under one solid islamic caliphate but his sons wern't seeing it the same way thus both his sons, Faisal and Abdullah dealed with the British separately for concessions and it worked. Abdullah took power in Transjordan and formed the Emirate of Transjordan which would later become the Kingdom of Jordan which still rules the state now whereas Faisal would take power in Iraq after his failed coup in Syria against the French and made Iraq into the Kingdom of Iraq.
With his sons done with, old Hussein, Ali, was not happy with the British intervention and pushed for more thus he made the Kingdom of Hejaz just to the west of the Arabian plains but the house of Sauds have other ideas. Thus in the early 20s, the Sauds launched a massive campaign to take out the Hejaz kingdom and solidify their powers in the region and they did. In 1925, they knocked out the Hashemites from Hejaz and claimed it under their own and formed the whole of the Saudi Arabia nation.
With all that said, these became the bartering chips for years to come post-WWII even. Jordan became independent and the Hashemites/Husseins are still in power as we speak and even after the Arab Revolt, they were one of the few besides the Sauds who led their country without much foreign interference. Then the Iraqi Kingdom was also led by Faisal and gained independence too after WWII and did not fall till his son, Faisal II, got overthrown and executed in 1958. The house of Saud are still the ruling power in Saudi Arabia and they had all along gained independence after the revolt without much funfare thus you can say that despite on the outside that the revolt did much of nothing for the Arabs but in actuality, it did alot in the backrooms for future independence and actual arab rule.
Yes it did mess up demographics especially with the Arab-Jew issue but when it comes to nationality, that was alot.
had to like your comment because I can not believe someone who wrote a paragraph this long and mentioned alot of details just has 1 like
but yeah people forget to realize how the hashemites played a role in the arab world even after the arab revolt
the sons of husayns did managed to rule their own kingdoms and abdullahs great grandson still rule to this day
and at one point the ancestors of husayn nearly fulfilled his dream when Prince faisal the 2nd and Hussein of jordan nearly united their lands only for it to not happen after the coup led by Abd al-karim qasem
This new style reminds of rick and morty for some reason
You’re getting more of your own style and I like it. Better than just blatantly copying Oversimplified
he is still using his own topics not just copying oversimplified
@@H0nestBruM0mentyea but to be fair he also reused alot of Oversimplifieds jokes and one liners
Still a great youtuber tho
@@crusaderalam6699i would use a one liner of his if I was getting related to him💀💀💀
He wasn't blatantly copying oversimplified
Can you do a history of copyright and public domain
finaly, something different from oversimplified knockoff
Yeah
It is a great film
10:01 😮
Rick and morty vibe
Who randomly found this after watching oversimpified?
Me
2:05 what do the blue and red represent on the map?
Oversimplified is gone so you are here!
All i think about now is E.T. LAWRENCE
I like the rick and morty animation style
This channel is my go to when oversimplified isn’t uploading
So, like, always?
Complicated fellow isn’t he?
Am I the only one that prefers the old style?
The video itself and the humor's great, though.
Im glad you've created your own art style rather than copying Oversimplified.
EVERYONE! Please use the war thunder sponser because if so he will get more sponsorships so more money for more videos! Please use it!
10:18 press f to pay respects 😢
They cared about it so much they even made it into a movie based on the events!
