    • @GCFD

      Yes! They are good to eat but you have to be careful to cut the spines off as they can still sting. Here, there is no size limit, no bag limit, and you don't even need a fishing license to catch and sell lion fish. Make sure to thank the restaurant for serving lionfish and encouraging their capturing from our waters.

    Not at all what i expected from this channel, but super thankful you posted this. Any time i ask someone about scuba diving they leave out the basics and just talk about the cool stuff they saw. Your little introduction and overview made the whole thing super accessible to a completely ignorant person like myself. Now if only my inner ears weren't trashed and I could deal with the pressure changes to actually go scuba diving!

    • @GCFD
      @GCFD  Рік тому

      Lufia - It's important to start clearing your ears when you're 5 inches (inches!) deep. Start clearing before you feel anything and that's the key. If you're feeling pressure it may be too late to start clearing your ears. It takes practice but that's a golden tip for helping you.

    Awesome video. Id love to be able to do that. I tried 30 years ago to dive. I was taking a PADI corse but just couldn’t deal with the final exam. They wanted us to go down 40’ to a platform in a lake. Pitch black visibility. Remove ALL gear and put it back on. Once I found that out I quit the class and sold the gear I purchased. Just couldn’t handle it.

    • @GCFD
      @GCFD  2 роки тому +1

      Yikes Andy! I didn't have to do any of that. We had to go down to the platform and practice switching our regulators out, taking off the mask and then clearing it and breathing off a buddy's octo. I'm taking the Solo Diver class and you have to be able to remove your gear and untangle yourself for that specialty course.
