See the rust on those spindles? Rust and grease has soaked into the pores of that
cast iron. They need a proper degreasing, using mineral spirits in a parts washer,
or soak overnight in a 5 gallon bucket. Then sand blast, and rinse again in washer
before painting. You are painting the rust- that will flake off very easily, especially
with the stresses of hopping. Same goes for the coil springs- sand blast then
use Plastidip, or a vinyl based paint that will flex.

I love how your just catching the audio control bug. I've told you for a while you don't need all that over complicated shit to tune a stereo. The audio control stuff is so much better, just simple to the point equipment. I've used audio control eq's and other equipment for decades and I will still use them for as long as I build ( hobby ) systems. You already know how good the amps are....I wish AudCon would make head units... ARE YOU LISTENING AUDIO CONTROL!!!?!?!?! MAKE A SOURCE UNIT!!!!!! AND MAKE IT WORK WITH YOUR OTHER STUFF!!!!.
