I disagree with the whole soapy dry down you mentioned , I actually really like this fragrance
To me it's a fresher Profumo. In the top it's fresher and more green than Profumo, but as it dries, it gets very close to Profumo. This makes sense, as it's meant to replace Profumo. Profumo is thicker and more full bodied than the parfum, so I'll use Profumo during the colder months, and this for warmer weather.

Here in Canada a 75 ml/2.5 oz bottle @ a retail store sells for $150 CDN = 110 US. But because I'm a senior I got a 20% discount, my cost was $120 CDN = 88 US.

Brilliant review. I actually purchased Acqua Di Gio Parfum recently and you've hit the nail on the head with everything you've said about this fragrance.
You made me more for the EDP cause I got profumo 2 back ups and one in use ,I Rather pick up the EDP I had a 5 ml sample and ironic your talking the parfum it reminded me why I like profumo still,and never smelled the parfum yet either I think the edp for me make sense, Love your videos

not a big fan of profondo its meh
The light gradient added to a Profumo bottle shows how they took a stronger fragrance and lightened it up but had to charge more because of all the Hard work someone put into this release 🤷🏼♂️ I’m glad it was gifted to me vs actually paying for it. I’ve passed on this one after testing multiple times because of redundancy✅
Love Profumo though. Easily in my top 5 designers and my favorite darker freshie. Has to be my favorite scent from Morillas. I just love the blend and scent profile. Reminds me of like a perfect scent for a sort of late afternoon or dusk beach scene, either on an ocean or lake near some woods with a fire going on the beach.
I love this new parfum. I think its the best ADG

I have a question. I had a test bottle (2 or 5 ml) of Acqua di gio profumo EDP. Did that exist as EDP or was it wrong labeled?
I'm going to buy a bottle now so want to buy the right one.

I think it's safe to say that Erica is more into Niche fragrances than Designer based on her reviews
Erica has a developed nose after smelling so many fragrances, that’s why she’s not impressed by these new releases. In fact most of the girls who are into this world have a completely different (more complex) taste than the ones you find walking on the street.

My favourites of the line are absolu instinct..profumo and profondo lights. The EDP is a very nice summer fresh vibe too I'm looking forward to wearing it more this summer.

which one you like the most, profumo or parfum?
Not at all like soap bar. Its the geranium that makes it fresh and bit minty. The fragrance itself is inoffensive. Doesn't bother allergies.
I still think best aqua di gio blue profondo.. best dry down on my skin

Nice scent for sure. A tad too much on the "soapy" end. I prefer Profundo.
Profumo was my number 1 but after the discontinuation I said goodbye and welcomed parfum and can confidant I’m absolutely satisfied it’s a great summer spring scent

Profumo is 10/5 and the Bvlgari Aqva 10/7.5 too!

I compared Profum to the old Gio!
I think the old Gio, before 2010 verison - Acqua Di Gio by Cosmair was the best scent on the world.
That Cosmair serie from 1996 to 2009.
After that, Gio was reformed and it became very bad.
Sounds like a safe office scent. Think I'll stick with Profondo and ADG EDP for now. 😊

Yo, my profondo doesn't smells fresh at all, it smells salty n like rotten mandarin at top notes, what's going on...?

Ive been wanting something in between Profumo and the original and this one is pretty much perfect for that.
Haven't heard that one but I have heard it smells close to profumo
That's the 2023 version, the 2024 is supposed to smell closer to Profumo (more incense)
Love Profumo Special Blend. The best Gio from the whole line of Acqua di Gio in my opinion. Darker, warmer, woodier version of regular Profumo.
@@daneemfragrance I never got the chance to try Acqua di Gio Essenza. So, we are on the same page. Special Blend is a much darker richer version of regular Profumo (you can also feel the woody notes) less bright less uplifting more formal more darker nighttime. For me it is just for the cold seasons and it's not very versatile as regular Profumo.
No on the soap. A soapy dry down reminds me of failure to rinse. I don't find that clean, just soapy. Only thing worse is lavender and soapy.

I don’t understand why are you comparing with neeche. Obviously that’s going to be disappointing. It’s another flanker, Profumo was discontinued and they wanted to launch something like that. That’s it.

the best out of the whole line flankers what not of the Acqua Di Gio line was Profumo Special Blend.!! this was the Summit of the house making a Master Piece and they squandered it they Squandered it like a flock of Dodo Birds in the Movie Ice Age.. so what if they had to put a higher price tag to keep it around They FUCKED UP HERE!!!
I don’t understand it at all. I absolutely loved Profumo….it was my everyday for years. First they change it to a cheap bottle and changed the recipe, then get rid of it completely??? Why did they do this? I will not be buying this crap, but can anyone tell me WHY they would start making a refillable bottle??
In an industry riddled with fakes, doesn’t this promote the selling of more fakes? Just my thoughts….

I dont get the release. They discontinued the best ADG, Profumo. Every review I see, no one goes crazy for this. They already have Profondo and the EDP. Should have kept Profumo and just renamed it Parfum, since it WAS a Parfum concentration.

Yeah. Please dont do designers anymore as they are not niche and someone watching your reviews could potentialy be swayed off from buying something they may like and the vast majority of us are mostly into designers. ADG Parfum isnt the best but its still an amazing frag.

I had high hopes for this release but its nothing special and overpriced. Just another typical salty aquatic. Its ok but definitely nothing to get excited about. If you like the original edt and profondo than you will like this one.
There's a great spot in every collection for a few safe classic designers, that just smell amazing. Groundbreaking niche isn't always what's needed 😉 👍

No it doesn't. I tried the Parfum and it really misses the incense vibe and fullness that makes Profumo my favorite everyday scent. The discontinuation is a real shame.
