Love Stu's review! In an age of people screaming like baboon's when doing videos, having someone making a professional review in a relaxing mature tone is just so refreshing! Keep on the good work mate!
I got two of these lamps in October. It’s so good. Sound frequencies are sharp and amazing. Really love these lamps. They get so darn loud without distortion. Amazing stuff.
I like the lamp overall. Don’t know if I am the only one who wishes that the black base would be available with the white lamp shade instead of the grey/dark color. Very good review!
Really nice to have you reviewing more and more ikea products. I’m fully invested in the Tradfri echosystem, and i am really looking forward to see it growing in smart home/entertainment solutions. Keep it up !
Stu’s Reviews you bet i will. But please be 100% honest on it as i’ve seen some info on the concept, which make the smart blinds kind of sketchy. And also the price might be too steep to upgrade all windows. We’ll see, till then keep it up!
I have a (stereo) pair of these for bedside lamps and I am seriously impressed with them. Put in a Philips Hue colour E14 candle bulbs and they look lovely too.
The little lamp sounds fantastic, it’s on par with most high end brand bookshelf’s, I listened to it in local ikea store, I couldn’t believe my ears. It’s so good, and only 200ish cad. It’s a steal for the quality
So I'm guessing (hoping) it's equivalent to a sonos one / play one with a lamp on top. If that's the case it's a no brainer buy over the stock Sonos one. So much more practical to have in a bedroom on a bedside table. Hopefully the sound is equal or at least close! Nice looking too! Hey Stu, If you're reading this please consider a follow up video comparing the two.
Great review Stu. You have a new sub here. I have many Sonos speakers already and this looks great. Presumably you could buy a second one and make them a stereo pair? If it’s anything like the Play 1, a pair sounds much better/fuller.
We’re a Sonos home already and I expected good things from these speakers, as Sonos don’t do half measures. . I think your face told the story, especially at full volume! May have to invest as soon as they come back into stock.
I've just bought the IKEA eneby gen 2 which now has TWS pairing. The bass is out of this world and heavy 👍 just waiting for the battery 🔋 to arrive in the post. All o can say is IKEA make fantastic speakers 🔊. Great review was listening with the IKEA eneby gen 2.
Fantastic video Stu. Love the reaction and as a Sonos user - this sounds like a real winner in various room scenarios. I am heading to IKEA in a bit and will be looking out for this. I think I would also favour black. The price is a real bargain as well. The Sons Play 1 costs more than that and I think the hardware will be comparable. Hmmmmmmm You got me thinking thoughts dude. Thanks again - you just got yourself another subscriber whos notification bell has truly been rung - looking out for more of the same!! Nice!!
Just picked one up, wondering if its possible to tether your phone-calls on to the speaker itself. Like use the lamp/speaker as a handsfree phone device??
lol you genuinly sound excited at the idea of washing it! that's funny. I did buy the lamp, it's very good! especially with a smart bulb. thanks for the review!
Not sure if it was mentioned, but is this a Stereo speaker, can you use more than one Lamp? What is the max Wattage of bulb? Does the light need to be on To hear music? What is the Bass like?
I have a few questions! 1 - Did i can get pair the lamp with other device from house? And i may refer to a TV set! 2 - You can only play the music with Sonos player, or you can play, let's say, UA-cam directly from phone? Because i don't want iTunes or other music play prorgams! 3 - You have also an audio cable for cionnecting with AV receiver? Thanx!
@@ioblings Sonos has delivered the software, the hardware side is purely ikea built (with a little assitance). It is by no means a Play:1 in there just to set that straight ;-)

Hi Stu, love ur vids! One thing, when you play a song on any speaker, is the music coming from the speaker, or is it edited in? It sounds like it is edited. It would be great if you can play some No Copyright Music from the speaker unedited, so we get a feeling for the sound the speaker provides. Many thanks!
Hi Henry- I did flash up some text when I started playing music - but you may have missed that- Just so that you know, the music was coming from the speaker and recorded live using a blue yeti mic. Everything you heard on the review was natural and playing from the speaker, not edited over the top.
Great video. Can you buy more to see if surround sound can be enabled? Imagine you have your two lamps with wall speakers..... that would be incredible!
Its pronounced as ‘ sim-phone-is-kh ‘ not symfonski. Thumbs up for the previous video, you did pronounce ENEBY perfectly. I do hope they will at some point update the eneby line to become part of symfonisk. Or release a symfonisk that is similar to the eneby in shape, form and function.

Does anyone know if this works with google, the google cast system and will it connect without an ethernet cable (for those of us that dont do apple or spotify)
