Panther Martin vs. Rooster Tail (Head to Head Challenge!)

In this installment of Inline Spinner Showdown, I put the panther martin against the very common rooster tail. The panther martin was about five dollars whereas the rooster tail was three dollars. Both spinners are loved by fishermen worldwide but today we find out which one is the king of the spin. The rooster tails is the victor because it is just as good as the panter martin and a lot less expensive

You should have added a third test with the dollar ozark trail. To me fishing mostly rooster tail i think its about body color.

While fun to watch, it is an apples-to-oranges comparison because different colors and blade designs are used. Water conditions play a major role on which lure works best. A black barrel swivel about a foot above the lure would reduce the line twist.

Panther Martin is a better quality lure and for me catchs lots of fish, definitely agree on small swivel, I use a ball bearing swivel out of my spinner bait supplies. Rooster tails are great and much cheaper if you have risk of snags and looseing them. I use both prefer PM especially especially in heaver baits.
