Deep Rising is a hidden gem, thanks for reviewing it. On another note, I've been watching movie reviews for days now & the algorithm gifted me this one. I only watched because I love the movie, but you got me. I couldn't hit like/subscribe faster, if only for the breath-holding bit. I'm still laughing & the cat is looking at me like I've lost my mind. Yes, we all do that when an underwater scene (w/no scuba gear) comes up in movies, but you, sir, took it too far. Are you OK? Here's hoping. I want a lot more & w/your delivery, it doesn't matter which movie.
THANK YOU!!! I've been watching your Lake Placid and Anaconda reviews and whole time all I could think is "I really hope he covers one of my favourite monster movies, Deep Rising" what a treat
I literally just discovered you about 11 minutes ago. And that line at 5:45 deserves a subscription on principal. That is by far the best dam thing I've heard since before covid.
This movie had some of the best deaths in creature movies ive seen. Theyve stuck wit me ever since i saw this as a kid. Most memorable being the Asian woman being sucked down the toilet, the guy being half digested, Mulligans jumpscare death in the kitchen, and the scene of the passengers and crew still moaning and screaming amongst all the half digested corpses. But you know the BEST thing about this movie? this was actually supposed to be a prequel to a King Kong remake with the 3 ending up on Skull Island.
Yknow the best thing about it though? it wasnt just ANY monster sequel, this was, in fact, supposed to be a prequel for a KING KONG remake. Go ahead, look it up, i aint bullshitting you! XD
I LOVE this movie, first saw it one late night on TBS eons ago and enjoyed this movie from start till finish. Also was a big fan of Treat Williams back in the day, first saw him in one of the SUBSTITUTE movies. This film isn't a guilty pleasure for me-I LOVE-this movie !!! LOL. Oops,I already said that, didn't I ??? Oh,well, good retro-review.
Hey!!! I just found your channel and I absolutely loved your comical review of the Anaconda movies. Reminded me of how much I missed these kind of movies when I was young because these movies scared me - but they're actually pretty dumb and nutty. xD Subbed and I'm definitely looking forward to your new videos!!
I just found your channel and I'm so happy that someone loves creature features as much as I do. Do you plan on checking out dinocroc? The syfy original that wasnt scared to kill a kid
Tbh I've got a lot of other movies I want to focus on before I do any more SyFy channel ones, besides the Sharknado sequels. I haven't seen dinocroc though so I'll give it a watch!
Thank you for covering the movie i resqested , one of my favorite monster movies! Can you cover the original predator movie , appreciate all your content!!
My pleasure, it's one of my faves too! I'll defo do the original Predator one day, but it's like my second favourite movie of all time so I'll save it for a special occasion :D
Deep Rising is just one of the best hidden gems of B Rated horror movies, just a really fun ride 😂 Offhanded suggestion, have you ever seen Peter Benchley's The Beast? A really fun made for TV movie from the 90s I think you might enjoy it
Almost forgot this monster classic, gorier than I remember, but still a fun cheesy creature feature I dig out occasionally. I wouldn't have survived the scuba scene either lol.
I want some octopus flavoured popcorn Funny you used a clip of Daniel Stern, because he was in a great sea monster movie called "Leviathan" I still remember Ernie Hudson reading a promo on SciFi channel "See what has been called the greatest alien knock off ever made" Love this movie, too bad we never got the sequel with King Kong
I am going to be the first hopefully that I am guessing the next movie he reviews is going to be the mummy if not sharknado 2 and a great idea if someone guess the next movie should get a shout out in the next video.
This movie and the first Anaconda terrified me as a kid, because somehow my parents brought 8 years old me to watch these rather gruesome movies in movie theater.
love this film always been a guilty pleasure flick....a go to movie on a sunday if hungover as hell stuck on the couch for the day type eating junk food
I was anaconda compilation you made the other day and it sparked a memory. A movie I had completely forgotten about but watched as a child. It's Definitely one you should watch and cover, it's called BOA(also apparently know as New Alcatraz) it's from 2001, it's very 2ks creature feature.
I actually own it on DVD, the New Alcatraz version that is. It's weird though, the UK DVD synopsis makes absolutely no mention of a giant snake, haha! I'll defo cover it one day :D
@@CountofMontiCHRIS oh wow really? I only learned about it having a different name yesterday when I was trying to see if I was remembering the movie or if it was a fever dream. It's also funny how they called it BOA here and new Alcatraz other places. Wonder if it was to hide the snake part. Also the fact that they named the movie BOA in the US, probably to distance itself away enough from Anaconda while trying to capitalize on big snek hype. Excited to see you cover it. I wonder if the US and UK versions are different. it was straight to home video lol so it definitely has a lot of slock that you can be cheeky with.
@@ohlaceyone Oddly enough we also got the film as BOA on DVD years after New Alcatraz came out. I don't think there's any difference between the two, but I could be wrong. You're right though, they probably just re-released it with a more snakey name to make more money!
Fun fact: this movie was originally supposed to be part of king kong remake universe, while the giant jungle island monster at the end was king kong himself
