NAMM 2023: Jonathan Moffett Talks About His SweetBeats Drumsticks And Moffett’s Designer Drum Keys

Starting in 2021 Jonathan “Sugarfoot” Moffett announced that he was planning on starting his own line of drum related products. To raise funds, he started selling one of a kind autographed item’s and his first resulting item were his SweetBeats drumsticks, a design he created in ’88.
During that same time, he designed what would eventually become his designer drum keys that are functional and jewelry. He believes a drummer must look good as good as they play.
Jonathan a schooled artist who is creating “functional art” for the drummer, hints towards additional item’s he is planning on introducing.

While a traditional single tip stick provides one specific sound and limited sonic range, SweetBeats caters to all types of music, from soft ballads to heavy rock music.

This guy is a legend. Those sticks are actually a great idea. I use butt quite frequently and am comfortable with the feel of a tip in my hand, this would suit me.
