Its amazing. Im sure Isaiah was less than one month in his mother's womb when his father was killed. And im sure his relatives had already accepted their brother's demise when he didn't return from the war. Only for a good 40 years to know that their blood survived. Just wow. There was also a lot of deaths during ceasefire during the transition to independence. Its sad that a lot of guerrillas died at the finish line. Kudos to the DNA team for this quality production.

Kudos Closure Team. This is a beautiful documentary 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. It is an emotionally charged doccie that skillfully combines personal narratives, historical context, and a compelling mystery. It takes the audience on a roller-coaster of emotions, ranging from heartbreak and empathy to moments of hope and catharsis. Not only does it explore themes of identity and belonging; resilience and survival; legacy and truth but it also sheds light on women's struggles in times of conflict. I'm glad Isaiah finally found his family.

Excellent comment. This documentary highlighted one of the most atrocious act of war which is often glossed over in historical narratives, which is the rape of women. I am very glad to have witnessed a cathartic release following the positive DNA result. However, I have somewhat been left conflicted and cannot shake off the feeling that the ensuing celebration by the paternal relatives could be a celebration of a possible product of rape. At the same time I utterly commiserate with the lad for wanting to know his father.
As a man to think that women who were rape victims during the war bore and raised children given them, and up until now have never been given any psychological help is testament enough of their endurance and resilience. I salute you vanaAmai. Virtually all the perpetrators of this heinous act never faced justice be cause it was war and politicians find it convenient to whitewash this blight in our history of liberation. Tinashe Mugabe good job and excellent timing for the documentary during our heroes day.

Very informative of important historical events. Thanks for including these interviews. Thanks for helping Isaiah. There is surely a miracle within the story - that part when it was revealed they were at Mzlikazi’s homestead right at the time he asked the question. Amazing!
