- Welcome back to HOI4 playing as Germany but I start with 0 factories. At the start of the game instead of starting with 69 factories I deleted them all and now need to start from complete scratch.

Probably would be easier, the hardest major to play this challenge with would probably be Japan or Italy
Free Trade and Oil would basically make it too easy for America anyway.

Why don't you get resources rights and war reps for example from the Dutch east indies (5 years of all resources and civ factories for you to use) and other countries. You can change gov type so japan doesn't get grumpy with you and it helps boost your civil count. So often people forget its a feature.

But when they spawn, they spawn in occupied territories, not in core provinces.
When i saw the title i thought Alex went back to the "what if ww1 ended in a stalemate" video playing as the exiled german government. I really hope he tries again. When I played after a couple years i kinda just waited and the allies fought to give me germany back again. Anyways i thought it could be intresting

ALEX get resource rights. YOU DON'T HAVE TO TRADE. you can literally take every resource AND FACTORY from any puppet if you would just use the pease deal mechanics

You Should try canada in kaiserredux, its very fun!
One trick you couldve done that MIGHT have given more factories: Puppet the Netherlands and take their industry with the war reparations button AND for both Netherlands and DEI take their resources, primarily rubber and oil, meaning you don't even need to trade for them, just free

I would like to save the Soviet Union of this game! I Have come back from something like what the Soviet Union in this game has but worse, I was playing as the right communist path of the Soviet Union on Ironman mode, but as I was trying to assassinate Stalin, I never tried to take any regions for if the civil war started, however his paranoia got to 100 % and I only had a tiny Siberian region when he mobilized the armed forces. Then to make things worse, the Germans declared war upon me and the stalinists. Then the stalinists capitulated. So ultimately I only had land as far as Ufa. Beyond that was German land. It took me until 1952 to capitulate the germans(with the help of nuclear weapons), that game the allies were incompetent and never d dayed. (They even lost Italy after they civil wared). But hey, I got the race for Germany achievement! (If you don’t believe me, I can send you evidence)
When yoy puppet nations you should take war reps and resource rights, should help a lot with the no factory runs.
Anyways should do an italy no factories, that sounds fun.
As Japan, but you only have planes and cheap submarines to conquer the Pacific

Alex if you did the align romania and hungry you get more mils over all
Using these Strategy without factories you will unable to trade other nations if need and unable to make agency and that you can get new tanks, planes, navy, and guns

I know its a nitpick but you dont need to do rhineland focus as long as you just declare war on someone (you bypass it)
You also loose mefobills and generate tons of war tension. Therefore its stupid.
How will you know whether someone who beats Germany in the same game you made did it legitimately or with console commands?

Should still be easy to get Anschluss. Delete your infantry, create 1cav template, build as many as you can and then switch to a larger template once all are deployed.
I just tried to beat Germany played till 1950 managed to get back a good amount of my country but Germany too op so many modern tanks
Puppet and add war reparations & resource rights. This will give you much more civs and allow you to fast build mils
