Pagan Latvia is pretty fun, especially if you actually try to kill the Soviet before Germany comes there to help you. I couldn't capitulate them fast enough without exploits, but I had already won the war when they joined at least once. Then I went for "Finnish Him", hated my life for even trying, did it exploiting the shit of the game, and never played in that area since then.
After all, Matt always gets some "hi"s, but Alex never gets some. Let's change that ! Hi Alex !

Latvians were practitioners of Finnish and Baltic mythology, not Norse mythology. They didnt believe in Norse gods. I believe the party/group for Fascists in the game is for the followers of the Thunder god, primarily.

I'm not 100% sure, but if you chose creating "Ostland", you could also get cores on Belarus

I played a game of Estonia, and the strategy is to puppet the Baltic nations, so your core territory doesn't expand, meaning you can stay alive with just the tiles on the top of Estonia's boarder, plus, you can just steal the troops your puppets build, and then just build as many forts and costal forts as possible on the top of your territory, so you can rack up a 20:1 kill ratio for the whole game until the Germans outnumber the soviets because they will have wasted so much of their equipment that they wouldn't be able to build up their troop count to match Germany's Troop count by Barbarossa.
I managed to get a kill count of 700+K troops, while only loosing 40 something K before Barbarossa happened.
Either way I still think alex made a mistake of not allying with germany.

Alex you should have tried to form an agency and collaboration governments in soviet union if you had the civ factories that would have made them capitulate faster.Enjoyed this vid a lot though much love.

19:31 idk why but for some reason it’s like the ai has become genuinely brain dead in the past update, like there is no logical reason whatsoever for the ai to be stacking like that when if the game had a regular frontline order they would be spread out just fine. It’s like the devs just made it so the soviets death stack in 1941-42, then as soon as it hits 43 the German ai is programmed to just select all divisions and right click onto a tile and leave them all sitting there

I once played as communist Latvia and made the Baltic-Belorrussian ssr, when the Germans invaded the Soviets got pushed back to the urals but didn't surrender and i survived on scraping the barrel with more than 1 million men in the field💀
