I remember being genuinely surprised by how strong the Little Entente path is. The German AI just cannot handle a two front-war in 1938.
That's kind of historically accurate as well. Germany in 38 wasn't ready for a war and would havevreally struggled in the czech mountains. Even a year later they took seriously heavy casualties against poland
@@geraintthomas4343 also had the Czechs refused and Hitler went to war with them, the Wehrmacht would've done Valkyrie right then.

Watching this video while playing France doing little entente have Poland Czech Yugo and Romania in faction just ball stomping the Germans ending ww2 in three months. Now I’m gonna have to sit here for 6 years until Russia does something
Snakes on a plane was one of the most fun achievement runs I’ve ever done in Hoi4; it was so goofy joining the Allies and just paradropping constantly over North Africa and Sardinia; all the way to Rome!
I think I'll need to give that a go!
I got it by surrounding Rome and walking into it with a paratrooper. You don’t even need to paradrop them 😂

For Snakes on a Plane I made 17 beefy paratrooper divisions with I think 20 width paratroopers, flame tanks, support arty/rockets and light armor recon so they could fight units off the tile on landing. After spending all the time doing that research and making the equipment and cheesing the special forces limit with division template switching, Italy didn't have any units within 10 tiles of Rome when I dropped. I was very disappointed.
1:50 as a hungarian laptop user I can bust that myth. It takes an infinite amount of time as the laptop I am currently on has none of the requirements to play hoi4.

So with the Big Entente achievement I thought you or anyone in your faction had to own ALL of the cores, meaning that if you own all of the cores, but one belongs to the other person (even if they're in your faction), you wouldn't get the achievement. Needless to say, I had to not call my allies in to get it. Whoops

The France Poland ending was so inspiring
So I think the way that first achievement works is if you're just occupying them it checks how many casualties you've taken in the current war. However if you annex them then you're not at war so it returns a zero.
No way for it to track the historical casualties against a given country I guess?

As for Minelaying its actually pretty strong, its how I play Italy and destroy the Allies Fleets and stop all the Naval Invasions as your at war with Ethopia for so long you can mine the entire sea and part of the Ocean.

I think helping the UK in the war is what made that achievement so annoying. If you just let them die you'd be way more bored, but would have finished earlier
