Is it? Because one question is missing. Why all the honouring veterans, yet not questioning the arms industry much more that sends people to play empire for corporations bringing naught home but PTSD or missing limbs, while only the corporations and rich profit from these wars, yet everyone else sees the US infrastructure disappear?

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for having him on, telling his story so he could tell more of so many others. Bless you for all you do and Sergeant Brennan. You affirm my faith in the kindness and love within humanity.
What a stunningly well-spoken leader in Thomas J. Brennan. Thank you so much for this realistic overview of military service. One of the most educational pieces I've seen in years---a profound insight. I will absolutely be watching the documentary.
Thank you for sharing your story, Sergeant Brennan. Our dearth of military reporting, since the end of the Vietnam War, has undoubtedly made those of us in the public numb to the struggles of military families. Thank you for your ongoing work.
I cannot express my level of admiration and respect for anyone who has willingly volunteered to serve in the military. People join the military for all sorts of reasons, out of duty, out of desperation, chance at a better life, free college, it doesn't matter why. It could be for the highest calling or most selfish endeavor. It does not matter. They all have put it all on the line for this country. I have family and friends who served. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't one of my greatest regrets not joining. My feelings cannot be summed up into words to express what I feel towards our current and former service members. The best I can do is thank you. You will never know how much I really mean that but I hope you don't think I say it lightly or because it's that time of the year. I truly and deeply mean it. Thank you.
Thank you for that very real interview and for talking about survivors guilt. It’s something I struggle with even now. I was in from ‘01 to ‘06 and was lucky to not get deployed. But my success was bittersweet watching how the rest of the community hurt, and it’s left a mark. I hope the country sees us. Really sees us. Thank you for your service.
Wow. What a compelling interview. As always, Jon giving voice to those who truly and selflessly serve our country. The sad thing is that our government has never really cared about our service people. War is a for profit business.
This is a very important message. Thank you for interviewing and sharing. These men and women are angels and should receive the utmost respect, blessings, and monetary benefits! Thank you for your service 🙏🏻
The quivering voice and pain is heartbreaking to watch and listen. My family and I are forever grateful to the veterans and active servicemen for all their sacrifices😢
From Australia, Mr Brennan, thank you for your service. You deserve to be proud. Your work doesn't just help to keep the people of the United States safe, but all the people of the world. Bless you.
Camp Nama, Camp Bakar was created by the US forces in Iraq. Do they really deserve to be proud of such inhumanity? I would certainly not be proud of such stuff.
Safe from what? News flash from 20 years ago, there were no WMDs. There was no reason to invade Iraq. Their "work" was to execute war crimes. Get some perspective.
This is great! Thanks for doing this🙏 I'll help however possible. RIP Sgt. Shannon D. Taylor, my friend. Superb interview with Thomas Brennan. This is the kind of message that has been long overdue. Our service members deserve more support from the American people & government. Kudos to you, Jon, for bringing this to the attention of more people & to thanks to Thomas Brennan & all those who have served.
All news is "non profit", which is why most of it now is owned by zillionnaires more focussed on news for power than for profit. All that means is that our "wars of choice" are now backed and fuelled by "news of choice". This project is remarkable and vital. All the 💐 to this group.
Thank you Jon for not forgetting about us… It digs so deep in my soul when someone says Thank you for your service… I want to scream back to them then help us! But I smile and say thank you for paying your taxes and letting me see the world. My father said it’s because the normal American has no idea what to say and at least they are trying. I hope war horse not only covers our stories but deeper into what can a “normal” American can do… help them get back their power along with ours. The military is taxation without representation I have no one fighting for me or my families needs in Congress. My greatest honor has been able to earn the title “Doc”.
In England, i have never seen this kind of bravery or courage and heart describing the side of service before. Its what is needed and has been missing from historical records for far too long
Thank you Thomas Brennan for your service, for your vulnerability, and for telling the story of the impact of the battle at Falluja on you and your comrades. People are way too belligerent about going to war. Your stories need to be shared. Thank you.
Thank you, Jon and TDS team, for remembering the reason for Veteran's Day. I had not heard of The Was Horse, but Thomas J. Brennan's story and mission is compelling. I signed up. I've been following you long enough to remember pre 9/11 shows, to remember your war coverage, and your work for the first responders and then the burn-pit victims. You have stood up for our veterans when Congress needed a kick in the pants, and kept all of us sane through surreal times. Much respect to all our service members, especially our vets who served in-country and on the frontlines.
These stories, these experiences help to illustrate what we do as service members. I would hope the Daily Show passes our thanks on to Mr. Brennan for his vulnerability.
Fantastic interview. Sgt. Brennan, just like every other Vet knows about that bond that is formed when you joined the military. You become a family and you will do whatever it takes to protect and defend that family. I an only imagine the emotion he feels every time he shares that story. I still keep in touch withe the people I served with and we have a very close relationship that will never be broken. That is one thing about the military. It doesn't matter where you come from, what color you skin is, what your religion is, that all goes out the window. You are there to have your buddies back, not matter what.
Thomas, thank you for sharing this. As a veteran I just wanted to say thank you for everything you’ve done for veterans! John, thank you for all the attention you’ve brought to veterans issues and your help with the PACT Act. Thank you
Im from Iran and I remember I and my sister using Yahoo Messenger Chat to speak and learn english from a US Marine who was in Iraq during 2003-2004. You might not realize but in Middle East, the propaganda message of Hate against Americans got significantly destroyed, not for the wrong wars, but for the decency of many American Soldiers and their Stories in the region made them heroes for many of us. Dear Americans, you are great people. Even if they sent you to wrong fights, they had to lie to you cause you would never do it for profit like many other nations did. Thats something.
This was a heartfelt interview. Thank you for bringing forward our soldiers' POV. It's heartbreaking to know that survivor's guilt is very real and difficult to get through without empathy from the public.
What a vulnerable, important interview. Thank you for being so open in public - American vets deserve to be seen and men deserve to be seen. Love from Finland.
Love this. It’s not enough to just say thank you for your service. The sacrifice they make is not to be underestimated. And what they see while on the ground is life altering. We have to actually support them.
This is very riveting, these are the true heroes. I just hope the new coming administration treat this people right and realize those captured and killed are not suckers and losers.
Woah, wasn’t expecting this and it’s a game-changer. 💭 As an insanely sensitive soul that has to still function in the world, I’ve generally sheltered myself from the goings on of US military conversations, complicated decisions, and (as a byproduct) staff for many years. All while living with so much gratitude in the safety of my home. I see now that by being shockingly under-informed, I’ve… A) avoided taking responsibility for how I can impact policy as a voter and B) missed out on connecting with countless beautiful souls who are in the system both by choice and by circumstance. Big mistake! To paraphrase the beautiful Maya Angelo-now that I know better, I can do better. Thank you. Keep reporting! 🙏🏻
My grandpa went to nam and was never the same, I see the impact it had on my dad and I'd be lying if I said none of it was transferred to me as well. Thank you Jon. It is so amazing to have a voice like yours in the position that you have.
I’m so glad that people like him are giving service members a voice. Those serving are very limited on what we can say publicly. We have less rights than the people we serve and it can be used against us at times.
This is absolutely what the public needs on veterans day

This is an incredible story .we all need to hear this as citizens. Many young soldiers suffer in isolation . Thomas is providing a valuable service for his fellow veterans and this country . Thank you Jon for bringing this story to our attention. I sadly was blissfully ignorant .
Thank you Jon, for having him on.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for having him on, telling his story so he could tell more of so many others. Bless you for all you do and Sergeant Brennan. You affirm my faith in the kindness and love within humanity.
By killing people for resources and then acting like the victim
What a stunningly well-spoken leader in Thomas J. Brennan. Thank you so much for this realistic overview of military service. One of the most educational pieces I've seen in years---a profound insight. I will absolutely be watching the documentary.
Thank you for sharing your story, Sergeant Brennan. Our dearth of military reporting, since the end of the Vietnam War, has undoubtedly made those of us in the public numb to the struggles of military families. Thank you for your ongoing work.
This man is a legitimate hero, thank you so much.
No he isn't. He signed up to an illegal war and murdered countless people.
Best piece ever!!! So truthful!!!!
This young man is truly inspirational.. as well as ALL OF OUR soldiers.....AMERICA IS PROUD OF YOU❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I cannot express my level of admiration and respect for anyone who has willingly volunteered to serve in the military.
The way that everyone was silenced to licensing to him, was moving.
This is a very important message. Thank you for interviewing and sharing. These men and women are angels and should receive the utmost respect, blessings, and monetary benefits!
Thank you for your service 🙏🏻
""Angele" - is the word to describe the army that created and operated camp Nama, camp bakar, the Abu graib prisons in Iraq......?
The quivering voice and pain is heartbreaking to watch and listen. My family and I are forever grateful to the veterans and active servicemen for all their sacrifices😢
Thank you Daily Show for giving the gentleman time to speak on the subject. Too many times everything is just a sound bite today.
On Veterans day.
I love and support our military personnel.
I appreciate learning this exsists.
@@lorrainekopp6504 please share it
This was a beautiful interview. As a Veteran, I can't thank Jon enough for all of his support. And for introducing us to this amazing Marine ❤
This is great! Thanks for doing this🙏 I'll help however possible.
RIP Sgt. Shannon D. Taylor, my friend.
Howitzer Battery, 3rd Squadron, 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Tennessee Army National Guard
One of three soldiers who died on August 14, 2005, in Tuz, Iraq, of wounds sustained a day earlier when their Humvee was attacked with rocket-propelled grenades and small-arms fire during a mounted patrol in Tuz.
RIP all.
Its what is needed and has been missing from historical records for far too long
Thanks for doing this.
Thank you for the information. Awaking our minds and hearts 😢
That takes incredible strength to talk about that.
Powerful. Much gratitude! 💔🤢💜
Thank you for this sincere interview and conveying a truth I think needs to be heard around the world.
Wow! Thank you to the War Horse.
Thank you Thomas Brennan for your service, for your vulnerability, and for telling the story of the impact of the battle at Falluja on you and your comrades. People are way too belligerent about going to war. Your stories need to be shared.
Thank you.
Tears in my eyes. Thanks team for amplifying this story that needs to be heard.
more guests like this please. powerful story and a wonderful interview!
The dedication, commitment and sacrifice can never be fully expressed, understood or appreciated. A cost much higher than cause and purpose.
This was for real... guy is a hero of both journalism and service
From someone in Iraq right now - thank you!
Why are you in Iraq? 😮
That was OUTSTANDING and a great lesson!!!
Amazing to see real human emotion around real human experiences that are horrific.
Trump is a draft dodger who insults veterans and calls them suckers and losers, don’t bet on it. I expect large cuts to VA spending.
Unfortunately, that is literally what Trump believes and verbalized and it was Biden who signed the legislation to finally aid military veterans
I , FOR ONE TRULY AM and do and WILL “ HONOR “ all you have and still unfortunately do give for us…
Cheers to Doc and all the rest.
Thank You So Much For Your Service.
Thomas J. Brennan much love and magic for all you do. I see your impact on this country and on your fellow service members and veterans.
Woah, wasn’t expecting this and it’s a game-changer. 💭
As an insanely sensitive soul that has to still function in the world, I’ve generally sheltered myself from the goings on of US military conversations, complicated decisions, and (as a byproduct) staff for many years. All while living with so much gratitude in the safety of my home.
I see now that by being shockingly under-informed, I’ve…
A) avoided taking responsibility for how I can impact policy as a voter and
B) missed out on connecting with countless beautiful souls who are in the system both by choice and by circumstance.
Big mistake!
To paraphrase the beautiful Maya Angelo-now that I know better, I can do better. Thank you. Keep reporting! 🙏🏻
I came here to laugh, but instead I cried... Thank you so much Jon! ❤
What an amazing man! I will start to follow his work! We are ex military and this is so important!
Great interview
thanks for that awesome interview and thank you to Sgt Brennan for his words of wisdom and service to veterans. Very moving interview indeed.
As a immigrant I am living a great life because of this heroes, thank you for that. I will try to donate within my ability
Wonderful! ❤
That was a POWERFUL interview. Amazing organisation and work they doing
Imagine if they held a war and no one showed up? ☮️
My grandpa went to nam and was never the same, I see the impact it had on my dad and I'd be lying if I said none of it was transferred to me as well. Thank you Jon. It is so amazing to have a voice like yours in the position that you have.
Thanks for sharing this interview
My brother in-law was stationed at that North Carolina base about 40yrs ago
Beautiful show on Veterans Day Thank you.
That was very touching. Only the best to all of them.
The US should pay for the War Horse program.
The service members need to talk. If they don’t “get it out” it can be hurtful generally.
I’m so glad that people like him are giving service members a voice. Those serving are very limited on what we can say publicly. We have less rights than the people we serve and it can be used against us at times.
This hurt my heart. Wishing all of these families peace. ❤
Thank you ❤
Thank you Jon ❤
Thank you for making room for these interviews and educating us

Awesome documentary, awesome man.
