From visuals and audio, Infinity Ward will always pretty much piss on Treyarch. I know people typically prefer the Treyarch gameplay and art style/colour palettes etc. over Infinity Ward but at least their weapons look good and sound like they pack a punch and aren't just sounding like pea shooters
Tbh I still like the color pallete of Cold War. It feels more vibrant and something you'd see in Battlefield. MWII, even with with more saturated colors compared to its predecessor, it still feels grey.

Heartache Black ops Cold war was really good. Campaign was awesome the stealth mission when you're in the KGB might be one of my favorite cod campaign missions. The multiplayer was fun and fast pace the balancing wasn't the best I'll give everyone else that. And the zombies while not the most challenging thing was still really fun because of all of the new mechanics they introduced. Edit: sound design is shit though
I like bocw graphic more because a colour, physic, and detail is much better than mw2 but for gunplay, animation, attention detail, and movement i like mw2 or mw2019 more

Even indie games have detailed revolver reload. Indi game like pubg did some incredible gate loading revolver animations, yes gate loading relover reloads, its much harder to animate gate loading animations But tryarch can't do that even to this day
Cold War actually does the atmospheric sound effects better than MW2 imo. The distant reflections and echoes are far more audible than MW2. They're practically non-existent in MW2 and make all the rifle caliber guns sound somewhat empty. Also that M16 model in MW2 (just like the OG MW2) is butt-ugly. The rear sight isn't supposed to protrude above the carrying handle like that
It's this whole issue with developers wanting iron sights to allow unnecessary visibility. Aperture sights turn into ghost rings and rear notches turn into canyons. To this date it seems like nobody is interested in trying to emulate an aperture sight.
Cold war sounds like you're shooting in an empty warehouse. The echo is way too loud. Mw does it pretty good. Battlefield 3/4 probably do it the best out of any fps game.
I thought about it, and came to the conclusion that the Cold War is not so bad in terms of weapon animation. But the sounds are still bad, I would say terrible. So yeah, I like them, they're simple and fun. About this comparison, I can say that the animations in Modern Warfare 2022 something like the Cold War. Seriously, it's like a more elaborate version of the Cold War. Personally, I don't see any parallel between Modern Warfare 2019 itself. The animations in Modern Warfare 2022 look a lot cheaper compared to Modern Warfare 2019. The same goes for sounds. In general, the Modern Warfare 2022 game itself is very cheap. And this is bad, very bad for the continuation of the Modern Warfare series. It feels like this game was made by a completely different team that has no experience with the previous game (Modern Warfare 2019).

Still don't understand Treyarch/IW's aversion to naming almost any weapon by its actual name now. Sure, I get that the licensing fees are probably higher for them than any other company (since the manufacturers know they could get a boatload of cash out of them), but they didn't seem to care about that for MW2019. Besides, I really don't think companies like Kalashnikov Concern are gonna care if you name the AK-looking gun in your game as the AK. It's like, you can't fool us by naming it the Kastov. We all know.

In 2019 the guns were sufficiently off model to avoid trademark issues, but now they are more realistic and if they had the same names they could potentially be liable in the case of certain guns for trademark violation. If they have to change a few guns, they might as well change the rest.

The main reason that MWII doesn't use real names OR real designs (as far as I understand it) is speculated to be due to the lawsuit the Remington Arms company had. A wrongful death lawsuit filed against Remington Arms from the families of nine victims who survived the Sandy Hook shootings. A Remington Bushmaster rifle was used in the shooting. This filing finally reached its peak in 2019 with the pretense of "wrongful marketing." It was said that the company was marketing to younger audiences, which is problematic. Remington Arms finally filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2020. Due to this, I speculate that firearms manufacturers are now more stringent on how firearms are portrayed in video games and other media, thus not letting more established developers and publishers to pay licensing fees to use their weapons in their games. Many AAA developers have the money to do so, but very few actually use the names, and I think this may be why. This is purely what I MYSELF think of this case. I suggest that you research the history of the Remington Arms lawsuits. I personally see this as a decent explanation as to why more AAA developers are moving further and further from portraying firearms as exactly as they are in their games.

Am i the only one that's kind of getting sick of this animation style? Don't get me wrong, i love the animations and they're just extremely satisfying and fun to look at, but its starting to kind of feel repetitive with the aggressive reloads and stuff. I mean i appreciate the attention to detail but its starting to get sort of stale, like they know fans love it so they get hyper and other animators to just rinse it out. But honestly that's just my opinion, they're really good and way better than previous titles'
MWII animations are just pure clean & realistic but when you port it over to Warzone Mobile , It sucks . Why? Cuz you can't toggle the fov currently& most of the reloads are just covered & hidden by weapon slots & controls. Adjusting the visibility is viable but still looks intrusive . Whats more , the m14 reload ,m4 platform weapons tactical reloads are just hidden under the screen by weapon slots . Do Note that Warzone Mobile has a lot of controls which is pretty minimalistic on pc & console , but a heck on mobile
Firstly, the game isn't finished yet. Secondly, they're literally the same animations with no adjustments whatsoever, how does some hud make the animation worse? Plus you're able to customize the hud and change every button.
They should have ended the annual release of CoD years ago. These companies are always in lots of pressure, running out of ideas, and have to make the same game every year. If they want CoD to continue coming out, they should have given the developers more time to make something groundbreaking. And I'm a strong believer that they should have made a multiplayer only CoD, would be awesome if it's free but at least make it reasomably priced, that get constant updates so people would play it again and again. The new CoD titles coming out should be campaign only in great length and packed with gameplay and contents. But why CoD and CoD? The developers should have more freedom and time to make new games other than CoD.

cold war did a much better job, by keeping things more natural and not forcing a slow playstyle where you can't reliably reload or reload cancel, infinity ward seems to have forgotten they're making a game, where gameplay is important as well as "realism", also ironically mw is much more realistic than mw2, looks better, plays better and is faster paced, without removing any playstyles and instead adding more options
Oh come on this isn't a far match up. Cold War's gameplay (IN MY OPINION MWII SIMPS) is better, because I don't get punished for moving but it has the worst scorestreak system. But MWII reload animations are literally the best thing ever. (Except the gameplay sucks because it's slow and campy and elephant footsteps, trash perk system)

the reason BO4 failed because it sucks and they made it a fucking casino. why not one single good multiplayer only CoD just like the good multiplayer everyone knows and non-annual releases of campaign only CoD, each tells a story and has their own set of challenges and specialties? well, it's all greediness. they'd do just fine if they just make new CoDs that are campaign only, but they want more money from those microtransaction that only multiplayer mode could do

Some of this recoil is incredibly unrealistic.
There's a lot that's unrealistic about these games. The exaggerated camera movements, reload speeds, etc. Call of Duty is a casual franchise and doesn't proclaim realism.

cold war did a much better job, by keeping things more natural and not forcing a slow playstyle where you can't reliably reload or reload cancel, infinity ward seems to have forgotten they're making a game, where gameplay is important as well as "realism", also ironically mw is much more realistic than mw2, looks better, plays better and is faster paced, without removing any playstyles and instead adding more options
Oh come on this isn't a far match up. Cold War's gameplay (IN MY OPINION MWII SIMPS) is better, because I don't get punished for moving but it has the worst scorestreak system. But MWII reload animations are literally the best thing ever. (Except the gameplay sucks because it's slow and campy and elephant footsteps, trash perk system)
Slow and Campy? Bruh what game are you playing cuz every lobbie that I get in usually plays like CDL and also Elephant Footsteps? Xclusive Ace already tested it out and it's not loud compared to MW19 hell you can only hear footsteps when the enemies are 5 meters near you, Camping? There's already the drill charge and most maps don't have safe space and are 3 lane maps
