Pretty cool when an old Mopar especially one wearing the Chrysler name catches the attention of a channel dedicated to all things Porsche! I built a pro street 1966 New Yorker with a fully balanced and blue printed 440 in it. Oh the fun I had sucking in Mustangs and Camaros into getting their doors blown off in the 1/4 mile. If I wanted to go really fast on the highway it was as simple as switching out the rear pumpkin.
What '55 U.S.-made 4-door sedan was almost whisper quiet at full acceleration, didn't spin the wheels off the line even with bias-ply tires and could beat every hotrod in our town 0-60. (It wasn't as quick 0-60 as a Corvette but nobody in our town had a corvette.) Answer: My dad's '55 New Yorker with the factory Hemi engine and 2-speed automatic. Oh the embarrassment of riches!
