    As someone who lives here you must know, at 6:52 that pretzel factory is never opening. It used to be open but it got closed and the property is for sale but nobody has used it

      But there is a pretzel factory in the shopping center nestled between the Giant and thrift store and across the street from Wawa on 113.

      @@uadjet correct. I was just trying to point out the fact that the prezel factory he said he thought would open soon has acually been closed for a wile.

    There are also several walking trails in and around Phoenixville. Black rock, schulykill trails and French creek.

    Diving cat studios is awesome! I don’t know if they do it all the time, but they did offer me and a friend of mine wine or water when we came in and you can literally spend an hour in there just looking at all of the things that they have. It’s also a nice place to buy a unique gift.

    Funny, I moved here from Orlando almost 25 years ago but will be moving back next year. You're still very new to Phoenixville, so it's understandable you really don't know the town or area very well. The Phoenixville Farmer's Market is a staple, every Saturday morning. The Colonial is world-famous as a site where The Blob was filmed. Be sure to check Blob Fest in July! Phoenixville ranks 10th in the US for breweries. Parking downtown is a nightmare. Real estate has done well here.

      why are you moving back next year. ?

    As someone who has lived in the area for 19 years, it's important for people to understand the good and the bad of this town. One of the things not highlighted in this video is just how atrocious the parking situation is. I mean it is 100 percent pain and misery.
    The restaurants are decent, but all of them - ALL of them - are overpriced for what they offer.
    Judging by the number of breweries per capita, you would think the number one activity of residents is alcoholism.
    All in all, there are some cool things to see and do for a visit. But that's what the majority of people who come here should look to do - visit, not live here

      I think the coffee shops outnumber the breweries.

    Maybe you should have done your home work. I am born and raised here. The new homes along the French creek is a flood zone! In my life time I've seen the down town Bridge Street area flooded. The great minds of the borough decided to declare the area no longer a flood zone. What the heck? After that deceleration it flooded a half a dozen times. I feel sorry for young home investors. Flood insurance? Anywhere near the water in this area is a high risk! Look at the 1972 photos of Phoenixville. Buy in a high area. My advice: Do your home work.

    Our taxes, and rent/mortgages are way to high as it is without having more people show up. It’s all the noobs that are causing the $500,000 townhouses

    • @NathanAllebach
      @NathanAllebach 7 місяців тому +1

      Taxes are higher because home values are skyrocketing. There’s insane demand to live in town. If new housing wasn’t built, it would drive up housing prices even more.
