This in my opinion is the greatest band ever. Grew up listening to them in that era. Top bands today have some fantastic players, and are exceptionally flamboyant, but this is pure perfection. P.Parkes reading is masterful, soloists are top dollar, band sound is integrated and so well balanced, it’s a lesson for every generation.

This recording was made in 1976 after their 1975 National Championship win on the piece.

You can tell the percussion - especially the side drummer - have not been well-rehearsed.
