Alright ladies and gentlemen in this video we're going to be taking a look at the Rarest Weapon in Destiny 2 Season of Plunder and it's God Roll. The Other Half is a Sword God Roll that is acquired via Dares of Eternity. With Season 18 this God Roll got even Better as all Dares of Eternity Weapons can now be Crafted and have access to Enhanced Perks. So in this video I am going to show you How To Farm Dares, How To Get Dares Red Borders, The Other Half and Half Truths God Roll and Best Perks, and How To Sword Skate. Enjoy!

A bit of a more niche direction but Flash Counter Repulsor Brace is a nice combo. The debuff from Flash Counter counts to trigger the overshield from Repulsor.
Shhhhh they dont know lol or that enhanced flash counter gives extra ammo
Got mine last week before all the info was coming out about. When I got it, I was like 1 down 4 more to go. When I broke it down though it blew my mind that the pattern was insta unlocked. Thanks for the info on what perks to go after.
I got a red border from my first dares of the season. Never really used the sword/ eager edge much but happy I’ve got it crafted and out of the way.
same here lol, i just started playing this season and didnt realize how good it was. Mine also dropped with eager edge and whirlwind blade.
whirlwind gets most overall dps tho, up to like 30% dmg increase after 10 hits, take ghalran for example, frenzy would takes sometimes to proc as well and only give 15%, im sure its possible to land 10 hits under 12 seconds which means proccing frenzy and whirlwind would take same amount of time but one gives double the other's damage
Whirlwind needs 10 hits to reach that 30%, after 10 swings it's damage average is +15% which means if you kill anything in 10 swings or less (which is literally everything except raid bosses) or dont use over 10 ammo at a time during ad clear, frenzy is just better plus giving that handling boost for Eager Edge. Frenzy is likely to always be up too
@@guber9339 With whirlwind after 5 swipes it matches frenzy and any more swipes after that is %3 more until you hit 10 swipes. Assuming you can be in constant combat when you decide to go after a yellow bar you will lose out on the first few swipes but have so much more control of the situation so I prefer whirl. To each their own.
Lol if I'm using a sword for dps this isn't it. Utility is a better option. Unrelenting(blue) or even repulsor brace (purple). It's made for mobility not dmg

Finally decided to level mine up recently and went in my vault to find a other half red borders complete just sitting there
I got this thing in red and didn't even realise it was cartable until I sharded the garbo roll that is was. I was pretty stoked to see the "Pattern unlocked" pop up. I'll skating around in style from now on.
Finally got my first one over the weekend and it was red border. So long without ever seeing it but now I can just craft it.
I had a red border Other Half drop last weekend. Didn't realize it was instantly craftable til 2 days later. Now I just have to finish leveling up my Tiapan so I can level it up. It's got repulsor brace on it which I really like. Get a void nade kill with volatile flow on and every kill with it grants an overshield. Instant shield for the sword plus eager edge sounds pretty sweet.

i remember getting my first other half when 30th was released was really a pain but when it got craftable my forst opened chest gave it to me infused ;D
Got 4 of them grinding for the pulse lol had the final red border pulse drop from xur engram and brought back that ol’ exciting rng feeling!

I got one while opening the chest in the hoard while farming for red borders, so that's nice. Was thinking of making it just a DPS sword though with tireless/relentless or whatever the perks are called that makes the Falling Guillotine the Atraks killing weapon, if only cause I don't have a FG that can do it. I do have the Exotic Sword from Europa, but still, good to have a Legendary for that job in the vault.
I just got the red frame on my second dares run ever yesterday, had no idea this was a rarity until now 😳

I just had a red border Other Half drop for me this morning, only my 4th DOE run for the season, didn't even know it only took 1 red frame to unlock the pattern until I unlocked it 😅😅 working on leveling it up right now so I can craft that Eagers Edge, but I'm going to go with Repulser Brace for more survivability in higher end content with my Gyrfalcon's Void Hunter, we'll see how that works out

I got my first ever other half 1 week before season of plunder and it was red border. I still don’t have any momentos or raid boss weapons. I’m kinda mad with the luck I’ve been getting on this game but I’m still glad I got this lol
I have one. I got a red border before the season started and I decided to save it. After the reset I used it and sure enough now I have a crafted version.
Got my red border Monday, it was an eager edge / Vorpal roll.
Just posted the screenshot on twitter, while watching this on one screen, noticed i had some keys chilling in my inv, went over to xur and i just pulled the other half red border on the 3rd go lol
on the first day of the new season i had 5 keys, i opened one ONE chest and got it first try lmao now its level 30+ because i never take it off

This definitely drops less frequently than the other loot but for me this wasn’t extremely hard to obtain. Can’t compare with half truths because half doesn’t have any damage perks possible with eager edge.
i got the red border from my first dares of the season and it was normal, it was a lightning round so I guess I just got super lucky

Think they increased specifically the red border drop chance on this one. With over 100 keys I have gotten 3 to drop and all three have been red border. I have gotten numerous drops of the arc sword but only have 3/5 of the weapon patterns.
That is purely luck. I know many people who have done over 100 dares and still haven't gotten a single Other Half, let alone a red border, to drop
@@rithvikmuthyalapati9754 It's actually guaranteed. They stated in the TWAB just yesterday that the weapon drops rarely enough they wanted to make it a guaranteed red border and only one is needed to craft it.
I saved up a bunch of keys and hauls before the season then cashed them in day one and got the red border I couldn't believe it 🙃
I remember farming for half truth and as soon as I got a 5th red border for it, the other half red border dropped immediately after.

Had xurs starting quest for dares on my titan I finally completed last night, dropped a red border other half was speechless after the amount of dares I have done.

Idk if the drop chance was increased, but I only got 2 since 30th anniversary dropped, and I managed to get 3 red borders within like 2 days last week.
Took me 87 runs to get both swords crafted 💀

i dont even remember getting it but i think i somehow got it in at least the first week of the season, i was so confused to see it pop up in my patterns as completed

I got three red borders back to back for this thing lol. Slapped a gambit memento on it and got it level 30. I swear it took me more than 1 red border to unlock it though?
i got the red border with keys i saved from last season, like on the first day. at that time i thought i needed four more, but damn, when i checked, it was already craftable
Saved up 15 keys before the new season. On my 9th key, got the red border purple sword, crafted it right away and used it to go quick in King’s Fall on day one
Did key farming and Haul hoarding before this season came out. Got two of them from turning in the keys. Only just got bxr unlocked and still waiting for the final red border for wastelander. With one hand RNG giveth, with the other it taketh
I didn’t get one the entirety of the 30th anniversary event and the first season of witch queen….then bam…xur gave me a deep sight other half on the first engram from his rank up menu on a character that I haven’t played since forsaken….
I deleted one by accident and got its pattern not sure if it was a bug or glitch but yea pretty neat!

I got it in a few runs but the other red borders are 2 or 3 (I think I found something that boosts your odds, in your collections, you can mark the swords and always first feed the Starhorse sugar I was got 1 other half and 3 half-truths)

lol didn‘t know it was so rare i deleted the first one i got, and the last time i opned a couple chests for the bxr redborders. its redborder dropped for me at the first of those chests 😂👍🏽 was already wondering why it only took 1 redborder to complete the pattern. thanks for the info
I rolled an Other half with Eager Edge and Whirlwind blade before the 30th Anniversary weapons got crafting. It’s been the envy of my friends and one of my favorite weapons in the game ever since
I randomly got a red border the other half from doing my weekly dare for the pinnacle, kinda insane.
I’ve gotten four red boarders of that sword but not a single red boarder waste lander, but I have the sword full crafted it’s very nice

It feels much more common than before I've gotten 3 red bordered of them so far and most everyone is my clan has gotten it
Also whirlwind blade is much better than frenzy higher damage buff and really easy to proc
Also the first DoE red frame I got and unlocked. I never understood the fuss about how hard it was to get a sword that I promptly threw in the vault until I needed to do some air dash cheese.

I managed to get a red border Other Half while BXR farming last week. Dismantled it immediately and B-lined straight for the Enclave. Still don't have all the BXRs I need, though. 🤷♂

Frigging hell. I'm just a casual, and I saw this video by accident, and remembered I had (red border) one in my vault, as I keep extra-reds when in there when I'm at max, from maybe 6 or 7 runs? I only just crafted one, so I'll level it and keep in "stock" for use later I guess. Thanks.
Took me about 10 keys to get the red other half. It did take me 44 runs to get mythoclast, so it all balances out in the end I guess.

Literally was going insane last week after watching this video because I wanted this sword so bad and ended up getting it today. LMFAOOOO probably play like 4-5 matches of Dares and got the sword with the red frame 😭😭😭

LOL watching this video and seeing the god roll so decided to look in my vault to see what I had from DOE first dropped. Yep, frenzy, EE, and choice of jagged edge, honed edge or hungry edge with either heavy guard or swordsman guard. guess im good.
