Was Jesus Really Nailed to a Cross? Rabbi Tovia Singer Explains Why John Differs From Other Gospels

  • All Christians presume that the limbs of Jesus were nailed to the cross. This picture of Jesus’s ghastly crucifixion is the most familiar image that emerged from the church. As it turns out, there is considerable debate as to whether anyone was ever nailed to a cross during the Roman Empire. Why then does the Book of John emphasize this feature of Jesus’s crucifixion while the synoptic gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke ignore this description completely? Rabbi Tovia Singer’s answer will surprise you.

If so wouldn't that then support absolute reason why God wouldn't have allowed Isa (AS) to be crucified?

Acc. To the old testament a.k.a the torah the messiah can never be crucified and thus as long as the christians keep on saying Jesus got crucified the jews will keep on rejecting him and wait for another messiah. The truth is, he is indeed the MESSIAH, the thing is he never got crucified and that he's coming back to rule sooner or later

The BEST reason why God would not have allowed "Jesus" to be crucified, is that Christianity preaches that he was crucified as a "sacrifice" for human sin. Nowhere in the Hebrew scriptures did God ever tell us that He requires HUMAN BLOOD (a purely PAGAN ritual!) as atonement for our sins. Therefore, the 'Jesus dying on a cross for people's sins' narrative, just DID NOT happen. Another reason is that the "New Testament" which is the ONLY place the name of "Jesus" is mentioned, is NOT scripture that was given to mankind by God, therefore, whatever it says is irrelevant, and is not useful for spiritual learning and growth.

Yes, crucifixion or hanging on the cross is for the condemned person, and this is EXACTLY why the Rabbies crucified him !!! they condemned him for blasphemy!!! BUT !!!! The God turned his condemnation by rabbies into the condemnation of the sins of all mankind, by placing the condemnation of sin upon Jesus!!! This is EXACTLY what the atonement of the sins is !! Jesus did not run away from rabbies but took their blame voluntarily upon himself knowing that it would be counted as the sacrificial atonement for the sins for ALL mankind who wants it !!!

@@dand1260: Uhhh....NO, absolutely NOT!! Since God ABHORS HUMAN SACRIFICE (a purely PAGAN ritual!), the rabbis absolutely WOULD NOT have "crucified" your pagan idol! ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Do some ACTUAL research and learn how Christianity started, and you WILL discover that it absolutely DID NOT come from God! Watch the video "Caesar's Messiah" to give yourself some idea of how false, and pagan Christianity actually is.

Here is a hidden mystery within Exodus and Numbers that has been overlooked for way, way too long. We read in Exodus 12:37 that there were 600,000 adult males that were freed from Egypt.
Now the sons of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, aside from children. (Exodus 12:37)
The children of Israel spent 40 years in the wilderness. Below are three Passages from Numbers (Numbers 14:28-30, 26:63-55, and 32:11, 12). These Passages make it extremely clear that out of the original 600,000 adult men that were freed, that only 2 made it into the Promised Land, they being Joshua and Caleb. So you have 599,998 Hebrew men dying in that 40 years. Stay with me, there is a huge, huge meaning in this.
Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will surely do to you; 29 your corpses will fall in this wilderness, even all your [o]numbered men, according to your complete number from twenty years old and upward, who have grumbled against Me. 30 Surely you shall not come into the land in which I [p]swore to settle you, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun. (Numbers 14:28-30)
These are those who were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the sons of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho. 64 But among these there was not a man of those who were numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest, who numbered the sons of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai. 65 For the Lord had said [x]of them, “They shall surely die in the wilderness.” And not a man was left of them, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun. (Numbers 26:63-65)
‘None of the men who came up from Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob; for they did not follow Me fully, 12 except Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite and Joshua the son of Nun, for they have followed the Lord fully.’ (Numbers 32:11, 12)
Now remember when Moses sent in the 12 spies? Remember only 2 of the 12 had faith, they were Joshua and Caleb.
Now if we look up the name meanings for Joshua and Caleb, we get: Joshua means Savior and Caleb means whole heart.
      Now put it all together:
Faith in the Savior of the whole heart gets you into the Promised Land. The deeper meaning of the Promised Land being Heaven. God was sending a Message, the Gospel Message. The choseness of the Hebrews started at Abraham and ended at Jesus Christ!!! Hallelujah!!!
If there was a chosen race of people, a Master race, then the 599,998 would not of died in the wilderness. God has always chosen based on the heart.
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for [b]God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)

Mary Magdalene knew that Jesus didn't die so went to take him away. Jesus went away and died a natural death later. Before going away he met his disciples and this is mistaken for resurrection.

Quran 4:157. ""And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus

but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it
are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a

The one who was Crucified was the traitor who conspired to get Jesus caught, Allah made him in Jesus Image & took Jesus up.

Peter could not be pop because the Christianity was legalized and stopped from persecution by Emperor Konstantin in 323. Peter was crucified head down by Romans for preaching about Jesus, and it happened before the destruction of the Temple. The disciples of Jesus were spiritual establishers of the body of Christ that it called church!
In Christianity church is not a physical building, but a believing human being in whom the Christ lives!
Jesus said that even two or three gathered in my name I Am among you = church!

    Matthew Henry’s Bible Commentary (concise)
    >
    (Read all of Zechariah 13)
    Complete Concise
    Chapter Contents
The Fountain for the remission of sins, The conviction of the false prophets. (1-6) The death of Christ, and the saving of a remnant of the people. (7-9)
    Commentary on Zechariah 13:1-6
    (Read Zechariah 13:1-6)
In the time mentioned at the close of the foregoing chapter, a fountain would be opened to the rulers and people of the Jews, in which to wash away their sins. Even the atoning blood of Christ, united with his sanctifying grace.
**** It has hitherto been closed to the unbelieving nation of Israel; but when the Spirit of grace shall humble and soften their hearts, he will open it to them also. ****
This fountain opened is the pierced side of Christ. We are all as an unclean thing. Behold a fountain opened for us to wash in, and streams flowing to us from that fountain. The blood of Christ, and God's pardoning mercy in that blood, made known in the new covenant, are a fountain always flowing, that never can be emptied. It is opened for all believers, who as the spiritual seed of Christ, are of the house of David, and, as living members of the church, are inhabitants of Jerusalem. Christ, by the power of his grace, takes away the dominion of sin, even of beloved sins. Those who are washed in the fountain opened, as they are justified, so they are sanctified. Souls are brought off from the world and the flesh, those two great idols, that they may cleave to God only. The thorough reformation which will take place on the conversion of Israel to Christ, is here foretold. False prophets shall be convinced of their sin and folly, and return to their proper employments. When convinced that we are gone out of the way of duty, we must show the truth of our repentance by returning to it again. It is well to acknowledge those to be friends, who by severe discipline are instrumental in bringing us to a sight of error; for faithful are the wounds of a friend, Proverbs 27:6. And it is always well for us to recollect the wounds of our Saviour. Often has he been wounded by professed friends, nay, even by his real disciples, when they act contrary to his word.
    Commentary on Zechariah 13:7-9
    (Read Zechariah 13:7-9)
Here is a prophecy of the sufferings of Christ. God the Father gave order to the sword of his justice to awake against his Son, when he freely made his soul an offering for sin. As God, he is called "my Fellow." Christ and the Father are one. He is the Shepherd who was to lay down his life for the sheep. If a Sacrifice, he must be slain, for without shedding of the life-blood there was no remission. This sword must awake against him, yet he had no sin of his own to answer for. It may refer to the whole of Christ's sufferings, especially his agonies in the garden and on the cross, when he endured unspeakable anguish till Divine justice was fully satisfied. Smite the Shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered. This passage our Lord Jesus declares was fulfilled, when all his disciples, in the night wherein he was betrayed, forsook him and fled. It has, and shall have its accomplishment, in the destruction of the corrupt and hypocritical part of the professed church. Because of the sin of the Jews in rejecting and crucifying Christ, and in opposing his gospel, the Romans would destroy the greater part. But a remnant would be saved. And if we are his people, we shall be refined as gold; he will be God, and the end of all our trials and sufferings will be praise, and honour, and glory, at the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Marcus Minucius Felix (d. circa 250 CE) was a Roman lawyer and was one of the earliest of the Latin apologists for Xtianity. The following is taken from Chapter 29 of his work entitled, "The Octavius of Minucius Felix," (c. 200 CE).
Octavius Januarius [the Christian] says in response to Caecilius Natalis [the Pagan], "Crosses, moreover, we neither worship nor wish for. You, indeed, who consecrate gods of wood, adore wooden crosses perhaps as parts of your gods. For your very standards, as well as your banners; and flags of your camp, what else are they but crosses gilded and adorned? Your victorious trophies not only imitate the appearance of a simple cross, but also that of a man affixed to it. We assuredly see the sign of a cross, naturally, in the ship when it is carried along with swelling sails, when it glides forward with expanded oars; and when the military yoke is lifted up, it is the sign of a cross; and when a man adores G-d with a pure mind, with hands outstretched. Thus the sign of the cross either is sustained by a natural reason, or your own religion is formed with respect to it."
There are no crosses used in Xtian iconography prior to 325 CE. See further, "Ante Pacem: Archaeological Evidence of Church Life Before Constantine" by Graydon F Snyder.

Very true! Even the Imperial Cult was in on it. At each funeral of a deceased Caesar, his wax image was was nailed on a tropaeum, which was a simple Latin cross. This is where all crucifixes come from! They couldn't exactly portray crucifixion exactly, because the execution crosses were structurally *male* and even *functioned* as a male, meaning everyone who was nailed up in a by the book crucifixion was also penetrated. There is good evidence that nails were used. Josephus says "So the soldiers, ... nailed those they caught .. to the crosses.." (Wars of the Jews, Book 5, Ch 11). IF YOU STILL BELIEVE THAT HE DIED ON THE CROSS, THEN HE WAS A FALSE PROPHET AND ACCURSED OF GOD according to Deuteronomy 13:5:
“And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death”. (Deuteronomy 21:22-23): “AND IF A MAN HAVE COMMITTED A SIN WORTHY OF DEATH, AND HE BE PUT TO DEATH, AND THOU HANG HIM ON A TREE HIS BODY SHALL NOT REMAIN ALL NIGHT UPON THE TREE, BUT THOU SHALT IN ANY WISE BURY HIM THAT DAY; (FOR HE THAT IS HANGED IS ACCURSED OF GOD) THAT THY LAND BE NOT DEFILED WHICH THE LORD THY GOD GIVETH THEE FOR AN INHERITANCE.”
TO BELIEVE IN HIS DEATH ON THE CROSS IS TO DISCREDIT HIS PROPHETHOOD. The Jews maintained to have killed Jesus on the cross and consequently PORTRAYED HIM TO BE FALSE IN HIS CLAIM TO PROPHETHOOD
The Church has imposed the doctrine of crucifixion on the Christians because of Paul, and says IT IS NECESSARY FOR THEIR REDEMPTION OF SIN, AND CONSEQUENTLY HAS TO ACCEPT THE ACCURSEDNESS OF JESUS, TOO. But as stated before by Jesus: “THE SON SHALL NOT BEAR THE INEQUITY OF THE FATHER, AND NEITHER THE FATHER SHALL BEAR THE INEQUITY OF THE SON”; and said further
“THAT THEY WORSHIP HIM USELESSLY BELIEVING THE FALSE DOCTRINES MADE BY MEN.” This doctrine opposes the Bible’s teaching in Hosea 6:v6:
“FOR I DESIRED MERCY AND NOT SACRIFICE, , and the knowledge of God more than burnt-offerings.”
It also opposes Jesus’ own teaching (Matthew 9:13)
“BUT GO YE AND LEARN WHAT THAT MEANETH, I WILL HAVE MERCY, AND NOT SACRIFICE...”
Again Jesus said (Matthew 12:7) “BUT IF YE HAD KNOWN WHAT THIS MEANETH, I WILL HAVE MERCY, AND NOT SACRIFICE, YE WOULD NOT, HAVE CONDEMNED THE GUILTLESS.”
CAN YOU SEE? Jesus said twice that he would have “MERCY from God.
The Church’s Doctrine or teaching is condemning Jesus, AN INNOCENT PROPHET TO AN ACCURSED DEATH ON PAUL’S WORDS WITHOUT ANY PROOF WHATSOEVER.
Surely Christians believe that Jesus was guiltless, WAS HE NOT?
USE YOUR INTELLIGENCE TO PONDER ON THE WORDS OF JESUS (pbuh).

Tovia Singer it would be more credible if you your references for your ignorant statements. The only record of binding ie: rope on a cross was in Egypt. We know Romans often burnt their victims on the cross and rope I'm afraid does not cut it. Nails have been found in a crucified Jews tomb adding credibility to this claim.
As for your exegesis of the gospels you sound like a Muslim. Until you realise these are four eye witness accounts directed to different audiences each having limited space on their scrolls so they naturally focused on what message they wanted to convey to their audiences. Your opinions when stated the way they are five you zero credibility.
Even Bart Erhman affirms Jesus' claim to deity, his death in the cross and that his followers believed they had seen the risen Jesus so much so they went to their deaths proclaiming this. Now how many people do you know would die for a lie they created. Your logic is lacking.
There are early creeds that almost all scholars like James DG Dunn Bart Erhman and others place within months of the Easter event. And these creeds proclaim Jesus' death Deity and ressurection. These were 1st century Jews , monotheistic Jews what would have caused them to believe this.

The translation I have pertaining to the works of Flavius Josephus is as follows: Now, there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man, for he was a doer of wonderful works-a teacher of such men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both many of the Jews, and many of the Gentile, He was Christ and when Pilate, at the suggestion of the principal men amongst us, had condemned him to the cross, those that loved him at the first did not forsake him, for he appeared to them alive again the third day, as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him.. This was translated by William Whiston. A.M. and may be refuted as untrue testimony translated from Josephus. Regardless whether that
translation is thought to fit in with the writings in the bible by misinterpretation or not, I know for a fact the Son of God named at that time Yahoshua died for my sins because
Almighty God told me by means of a messenger.

The so called Testimonium Flavianum which appears in Antiquities of the Jewish is a well-known forgery. It was inserted by Christian scribes in the early 4th Century. Accordingly, this falsified passage does not appear in the writings of and of the Church Father prior to Eusebius. The fact that the anyone felt compelled to interpolate this passage indicates that the Church found the absence of any 1st century corroboration of Christian claims deeply problematic. The Bible must be your foundation, not a fourth century Christian forgery.

Josephus would have only written negative things about him for in Ant. 20:200 he calls the brother of James, "Jesus the so-called Messiah". The only thing Josephus could have written in the TF is the mention of Pilate condemning him to a pole at the suggestion of the chief men amongst the Jews because it doesn't mention Jesus's trial before Pilate, i.e., Pilate sent him to his death without trial just like he did many others as we read in Philo, _In Flaccem._

This needs to be updated a bit because archaeologists in Israel have found evidence of people being nailed to the cross. First of all, almost everyone who were crucified were left on their crosses to rot, so it's rather questionable in the first place that Jesus' followers somehow managed to get his body buried properly. However, archaeology now shows potential precedent. It turns out that not everyone who got crucified died on the cross. Some people with good family connections probably got crucified for sedition but their families rescued them by paying ransom or just outright bribing authorities for the right to remove them from the cross while still alive. This is known in Israel because there have been ossuaries excavated with skeletons that show clear trauma from crucifixion, specifically square holes through the palms and square holes through the ankles. Some of the bones show signs of healing, so it turns out crucifixion was survivable, although probably not for long given other complications that would kill you in the ancient world.
This in many ways answers the biggest question about the biblical accounts: Why the stigmata? The writers of the gospels lived at a time when crucifixion was still in use. If the crucified were bound with ropes, they should have known. So why the stigmata?
Turns out people WERE nailed to crosses. However, the way they were nailed differs from later Christian reconstructions. From the evidence, the nails on the palms were put in from the back instead of the front. This indicates that the palms were probably positioned on top of the crossbar then nailed down with the fingers of the hand gripping the crossbar. This would make a stable hold and explain another part of the crucifixion mechanic: How the crucified person could pull himself up to relieve weight from the legs. The nail through the ankles was a single large nail going from one side through one ankle bone, through the cross, through the other ankle bone, to the other side. This also explains how the entire body can be suspended on the cross. Nail through the feet like on the Christian cross won't work.
What is intriguing is that the bones in the ossuaries show evidence that these people were lowered from their crosses while still alive. So if this was true of them, what about Jesus? Did his followers bribe the Romans to lower him still alive? The archaeological evidence shows upper-class young men lowered while still alive who died some time later and were then buried in ossuaries in proper tombs.
If this happened to Jesus it would explain why he "died" in less than a day and also explain why he had a tomb and why Mark's original account ended the way it did.
So a young apocalyptic preacher was crucified and his wealthy patron/follower bribed Roman authorities to lower him from the cross within a few hours. He died anyway and was buried in a tomb, then someone acted out the resurrection narrative and got the women believing it.

TY, I did not know of the latest archeological finds.
To your information, please allow me to add:
The gospel accounts state that Jesus was
flogged by the Temple guards, by the King's
guards and by the Roman guards; as he was
passed around from one authority to another
(Jesus, being from Nazareth lived in the
jurisdiction of Herod Antipas; who was
      visiting Jerusalem for the Passover.
Flogging prisoners was the SOP in the
classical world; after they had been
      convicted of a crime.
      AND
The accounts also state that Jesus had to
carry the horizontal crosspiece to Golgotha
(the quarry where the execution took place).
Jesus stumbled, collapsed, was flogged and
could not get up. A man, named Simon of
Cyrene (Cyrene = modern Libya) was pulled
from the crowd and forced to carry the
wooden horizontal to the site of the
crucifixion. Jesus, more or less, then just
stumbled along the street, perhaps being
pushed/shoved by the guards to hurry
      him along,
      ALSO
In addition the gospel accounts state that
a Roman soldier pierced Jesus's chest with
a spear, then water and blood came out
      of the wound.
(The person who was crucified died by drowning
      in their own chest/lung fluids)
The accounts also state that the legs of the two
thieves were broken; so that they would die quicker.
The time of the crucifixion was the day before an
8-day (double) Jewish feast: Passover (day 1), then
the Feast of Unleavened Bread (7 days) These
days were a commemoration of the "passing-over"
of the angel of death during the last night of the
      Hebrew's captivity (plague/death of the first-born)
and their hasty departure/escape from Egypt.
Symbolically "Egypt" represents slavery and sin
(sin = slavery) e.g. the gods/goddesses of the
      Egyptian pantheon
The Hebrews were protected from the last plague
by the blood of the Passover lamb on their lintel
and doorposts. The unleavened bread reminded
them of their escape (no time to allow the bread
      to rise before baking)

There is no walking and talking cross in the Gospel of Peter! Jesus was singled out for "Deluxe Crucifixion" as witnessed by the King of Jews plaque which others did not get, the special crown of thorns, and other atypical events. It was very likely he received the extra painful nail treatment since he was a political prisoner and a lesson was to be made.
Considering the number of massive inconsistencies in the Torah, the four gospels are amazingly similar and cogent. How did Moses write books when the Hebrew language did not event exist during his lifetime! He probably wrote in a form of paleo-Hebrew or something he learned in Egypt but all his writings had to be translated into real Hebrew a century or five later. Someone just decided that Joshua wrote the account of Moses death because it makes no sense that Moses wrote about his own demise. That's a fishy story if anyone wants to look into that bit.

Not to mention the Oral Torah is not mentioned once at all in the entire Tanakh and certainly never appears in the Written Torah. You'd think Moses or whoever wrote exodus would at least write down a note saying "by the way, remember the extra stuff I told you on Sinai".
At least the New Testament Gospels actually states that Jesus taught his disciples extra stuff that was not written down. So Christians have far more evidence concerning their "Apostolic Traditions" than Jews do for the Oral Torah.

The external evidence from very early patristic citations and a wide geographic appearance in all four text-types, along with new internal evidence from linguistic, literary, and thematic analysis, point to vv. 9-20 as part of Mark’s original composition. (The promise is that if you live like he did, then death has no power over you.) He was raised AGAIN 3 days later AS THE SIGN OF JONAH that he promised for those to see and tesify.

There are 3 things that the Gospels described how Jesus was buried which it doesn't match the way how Jewish culture and belief was in the times of the first century. Jews buried their people specifically certain way. There is no way that a religious man ( rabbi) in the first century supposed to be buried as the way of the pagans.
If you are Rabbi , or a Jew who truly knows the ancient Jewish culture , you know what I am talking about. Gentiles don't know that missing link. So the resurrection is also questionable because of the way the Gospel described his death and resurrection. For example in the Gospels clearly says that Jesus did not die after he was cruxified. It's there., that blew up my mind. Explain that please. The text itself is saying that he did not die. Think for a second, how the patriarchs were buried? If Jesus was an important figure for God, don't you think God will bury him the way how Moses, David, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were buried???? .

      algerdron tievst,
Of course, a body would begin to smell
after 3 days. They couldn't wash the body
on the day of the crucifixion because by
the time they got his body to the tomb; it
was almost sunset and that is when the
Shabbat began[1] The Marys and John
had to go home, get washed up, etc.,
      before sundown.
Orthodox Jews take Shabbat, the day of rest,
VERY seriously. Just before sundown, every
      thing is shut down.

People who were crucified WERE nailed up, Rabbi Singer. The Romans nailed stout nails through the heel---evidence proving this is in the Israel Museum---but they used much smaller nails for the hands. Certainly the crucified could stand on the nails, that's why Romans made sure they couldn't straighten their legs. Their leg muscles would wear out and they would give way into a skump. But the nails in the hands were small, they couldn't support the weight of a person hanging off them! What did support them was a projecting "seat" that penetrated the person whenever he slumped, introducing HORRIBLE pain. This is also a violation of Lev. 18:22 & 20:13 because the execution cross was male!

Just FYI, I think you misread Paul in 1 Corinthians 15. In the parts you appear to reference, 15: 35-49, Paul provides his thesis for what happens at the end of times, where Christians speak of mass resurrections. Paul is thus giving his conception of what you or I would look like in such a situation. This isn't testimony; it is a sermon. And it isn't clear to me that the Jesus-sightings claimed by the inner circle either have to conform specifically to this picture or that they otherwise must have been ghostly. Paul did claim that his visit was a pure "vision." It was not unlike the way some picture magic. But the other narratives involving purported eyewitnesses do seem to involve simple perception and an actual corpus. In other words, I don't think these narratives involve someone saying "I had a vision." The claim seems to involve ordinary sense data. I also don't think the Lazareth thing subscribed to a ghostly ideal or dream-vision. Bottom line: I just think you misread Paul in 1 Corinthians 15.

Some years ago I said a prayer to Jesus and several months later, on a specific day when I was thinking a specific thing, having just completed a specific task my wife noticed a specific odor of lilies. The specific day was a feast of a Catholic saint, she was known as the lily of the Mohawks, the specific task was a letter to God which I had written to God, it began with the salutation: Dear Big Guy, the specific thing I was thinking was that it was too bad a member of my family did not believe in the apparitions of the Virgin Mary in Medjugorje, the even more specific miracle was that a small container of Holy Oil we used was almost empty, but was made full that same day at the moment of the odor of the lilies, we surmise. Further, my prayer to Jesus was 3 months prior when I spoke to Him in the Tabernacle of the Church of Saint Rose of Lima. I was sitting in the pew and noticed a stained glass window with Kateri, the Lily of the Mohawks and then said to Him, Jesus in the Tabernacle, Lord, let the Indian girl pray for me. I had totally forgotten until the miracle happened and then I remembered what I had asked.
Understand what I am saying. Jesus, who resides in the Tabernacle of every Catholic Church heard and answered my specific prayer and provided a miracle of the odor or lilies for my wife, and the multiplication of oil for me. These things happened, for real. The timing of the miracle was absolutely impeccable, you could not coordinate so many things at one moment. What occurred was like using one bullet to shoot 20 ducks in a row, most amazing.
So, as for Jesus on the cross, you bet it happened, as did His resurrection. You will find Jesus for real, the messiah for real, in the Tabernacles of the Catholic Church. You are not being a bad Jew believing in Jesus, you are being a fulfilled Jew, a complete Jew. You do not disgrace your ancestors in following Jesus in the Catholic Church, you honor them.
Take courage, Jesus loves you and wants you to know who He is, He invites you to follow Him. You see my miracle was not just for me, it is for you too. It is a gift God wants shared. He's the same God who kept the temple oil for several days until new oil could be provided, he's the same one who multiplied the oil for the widow in the famine. There is more to know.
I have been to Medjugorje on pilgrimage, there I saw the sun in the sky blotted out right before my eyes, many many many have seen that miracle. The message of Medjugorje is the same to all: live the Gospel, convert your heart, love one another, love God MOST of all.
God bless, don't miss out. The Rabbi in the video is doing what he knows, he does it for the love of God, but, he is mistaken, he is mistaken. He is sincere absolutely and no doubt loves God, but he is mistaken. It is easy to miss Jesus, it really is, Jesus is quite low key. God can be hard to follow, there is so much noise and misinformation, Protestants get it wrong all the time, that's why they don't know to oppose abortion, most of them. That's why they allow contraception and divorce.
Yes, indeed the law does exist, and it MUST be followed. The commandments are not suggestions, but all the law boils down to love God first and most, and then love your neighbor as yourself. What more law does one need? Teachings are needed, sure. You have them galore for Catholics, on everything you need to know. You won't be wandering in the dark.
Yes, Jesus is traumatic, but frankly He is traumatic for us ALL. He'll even be traumatic for space aliens if they ever show up.
