- This episode we drive into Milford Sound via Lake Te Anau. Along the way we take time to enjoy the spectacular scenery. We enjoy a boat cruise of Milford Sound with our son Tim and daughter-in-law Loan.
If you have not been into Milford Sound, you will be stunned by the vista of mountains and waterways we visited. We’re just cruising and we welcome you along for the ride.

Love this part of NZ... We also ventured to Milford sounds during Covid period, almost shocking how quiet it was we enjoyed a very quiet cruise on a day that was completly still, the captain of the boat said there would have only been 2 or 3 days a year as still as we had. Planning to head back into these parts before the end of winter, see all the mountains covered in snow.

@@hymertimesnz the mountains are made for the snow aye, so beautiful. I love being amongst it. I'm not sure I could handle a polar plunge in those waters, It's definitley cold enough swimming in those parts in Summer time.
An amazing area, I did three days there, a day trip kayaking on Milford Sound and then a two-day kayaking trip on Doubtful Sound, camping overnight on Hall Arm.
Wow, that sounds fantastic. Did Doubtful sound overnight boat trip a while ago. Both beautiful. Must admit, I enjoyed the drive in more than the boat trip.
