How often do you drive when snow is being cleared? Here in Utah, three-four plows will line up on the freeway and set out (psst: They're blocking one lane for each one!). That is a brilliant design. Both sets of wheels on the towed plow turn at the same time to cause it to angle out while it's plowing. When you're done, simply turn the wheels straight again and it pulls like a regualr trailer only taking up one lane.
That thing saves paying one less plower driver.
how ur living here
u do relise this does 2 and a half times the work in the same amount of time right which means less accedents and more roads get cleared
Where does the salt come out? Just from the truck or both to salt the whole road at once
Both
Its a deicer, instead of salt it uses some sort of deicing liquid.
Ciprian M it's a synthetic version of what the Russians use which is left over liquid from the process of making vodka
Other than causing undue damage to the road and the plow, burning through fuel and shelling out money to keep idle hands employed, what exactly is being accomplished in these clips?
How often do you drive when snow is being cleared? Here in Utah, three-four plows will line up on the freeway and set out (psst: They're blocking one lane for each one!). I have seen this in action here and what you get is: One truck, one driver, clearing for 3-4 lanes. Now I'm no math expert, but it seems to me...you're doing the job of 4 people and trucks (read FUEL and MAINTENANCE) with ONE. Hmmm....
These drivers are HIGHLY trained in order to drive a tow plow.
Never seen anything like this before. Great captures. Thanks for sharing
He's going along at a pretty good clip. What happens if he needs to stop suddenly? How much does that dingus weigh?
Is this some kind of new drifting?
In the province of B.C. where I live in Canada, some of the mountain passes can get 4" in a half hour. I've seen your tow plow on plow trucks spun out on hills and not able to move with both drive axles chained up and blocking both lanes of traffic.
@Maakola77 dude its not drifting lol , the trailer is made to do the job of a second tow plow , its not rare we see that in canada lol
