- Shopping regrets...we all have them. I am a repeat offender when it comes to "breaking in the shoes". I never seem to learn, and they never do seem to break in 🙄😅. I give myself a little more slack with the other boo boos...I was not forewarned, and that McQueen bag, although impractical is an absolute collectors item soooooooo......
Boots: Gianvito Rossi
Bag: Alexander McQueen
Earrings: Alessandra Rich
Dress: Vintage - Навчання та стиль
Those red boots prove that one of the cures for shopping regrets is … more shopping! Though shoes that are too small? No hope😢
Carla is that Main Character who always figures out her problems, good for you Queen. Also I feel so bad for that Alexander McQueen bag 😅😂
I try!💖 And me too😩
@@CarlaRockmore1 For that purse I might actually buy a smaller phone!
Buy a backup flip phone for that McQueen bag!
I feel that dress and those boots are perfect for late Winter/early Spring. There's the transitional elements of heavy fabrics and warm shoes combined with the vibrant florals and sparkles. You would get best of both seasons.
Yes🙌 love that
Fashion is a journey. 😂 And you can wear the earrings as a brooch.
Attached to a hat
🙌❤️
Or on a belt
Shoes clips
Oh my gosh. That marble bag is AMAZING. Have your husband carry your phone wear that baby out!❤❤❤❤
I do!❤️🙌
Oh I love a good red patent boot! Lifts everything up to the heavens! ❣️
Yes they do❤️
That dress is FABULOUS! So is the handbag! You HAVE to keep them both even if you never wear them - they're beautiful just to have in your closet to look at! They're ART for the closet!
I agree😍😍
That dress is gorgeous! Yay for the red boots.
❤️❤️❤️
That polyester column dress is a yes! Wintertime it is, we live in TX. You can wear a floral with a white background in January in TX. You know it is going to be sunny, but chilly.
Yes very true ❤️
The Alexander bag is exactly the same as my favourite malachite earrings! Gorgeous colour and hey they are ornamental too! Love it!
😂😂😂😂.... Whew, I thought it was just me on the regret train 😅! The Alexander McQueen is beyond fabulous ❤
Welcome to the club! 😍
The Purse 🌈❤️🌈❤️🌈❤️ a far away dream … sooo stunning 😍
That handbag would be the best décor to hang in your house. Even better if you filled it with an led strip and let that light shine through. If you do this please post an update it would be gorgeous. If you really wanted to commit to never using it as a bag you could have it professionally fitted as a small chandelier with a bulb and hardware. Would be one of a kind.
This is such a cute idea 😍 I love it
Addendum : I have the same problem with some dresses that I can only wear during 1 very short period of spring. The AMQ bag is a work of art. I would use it to decorate my home
yet another great post and very apropos as I have been weeding away some of my purchase regrets over the last few days and filling a bag to finally donate them!
Oh dahling, that’s what pockets are for when you swing that McQueen bag😉! I have 80s “punk/goth” boots similar to yours I got in the 80s- those suckers will never die (and I paid a pittance at the time😃), sorry yous don’t fit😕! Perhaps sell & get ones that do? Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️🦋PS love the dress, who cares, wear it to brighten a dreary winter day!
Except for the too small boots, I see no regrets❤❤❤ the boots would just be a display in that gorgeous closet of yours!
That bag is art. I would display it as art.
Love it! My wardrobe is similar!
I love the McQueen!!!!😍💗😍
I ordered a lovely top & pair of earrings from your website & am excited to get them in, I don’t think I will regret the purchase.
Definitely keep that dress!!! 😃😃
I think I might have to😅
THAT DRESS, I AM IN LOVE 😍
That dress is everything! ❤
this made me feel better about some of my purchases... and, yeah, the shoe thing....!!!
Madame Carla, my fashion cure for the day. Merci!
💋❤️
Even your regrets are fabulous!!
💖💖💖
That long sleeve white print dress...”winter white” perfect for those Dallas winters when it drops to 65 degrees😂
Totally 😍
Hahahaha Carla! You are funny but beautiful. I love the ‘globe’ bag. Swing it
Pretty dress. Nice colors on you. I thought you couldn’t wear mostly a winter white colored dress after Labor Day. 😂 😅
Hi pretty momma! No regrets! You slayyy all of these items Queen. You look absolutely gorgeous in every eitch one of them. Lots of love! ❤🍹🙏
I appreciate that love! Thank you for being here ❤️🙏 xx
♡♡♡
Ok the earrings! Love love love them. Paired with a neutral colored dress I’m thinking beige or tan colored.
So they stand out! Almost want to do an Art Deco style look with them. Glitzy and glam but vintage inspired.
Yes! Love this idea! 🙌
@CarlaRockmore1 With your creativity, I’m sure there will be a chance to fully give them a second chance for you to love them again☺️
You can always use the earrings as embellishments for plain heels or a brooch, or tailored the dress into a separate top and bottom set. The boots look lovely, but I honestly don’t wear heels that thin so my ideas are far off on that one😅
As for the “ball medicine”purse, I guess it will still look amazing by swinging it when you want it to be the star of your outfits. Lol
We all have some regrets but me being me, always try to find a way to get the best of those “fashion regrets”.
Beautiful pieces!
😂 if you're going to attach headlight..😂 oh that was funny. ❤
Hi dearest Carla. 👋
Thanks for brightening my day with your absolutely fabulous video.😊💓🙏
Always a great joy.
Enjoy your great fashion pieces
The shiny black ankle boots are my favourite here.
And the green ball bag is so awesome too.
Love the dress too.
Best wishes to you Dave from Berlin Germany 👋
I appreciate that honey xx thank you for being here 🙏💖
That ball purse would go so great with your jewelry line!!
Yes 🙌 Totally!❤️
Honestly you could just hang up that clutch in your house as a decoration piece and I feel like seeing that beautiful thing everyday, even without actually using it, would give you its money’s worth!!!
That dress!!!❤❤❤❤
Beautiful! That’s you…
Inside and out
Love the dress… Wow!
Fabulous! Best wishes too you…
Thank you honey xoxo
The beautiful green marble purse should be used as an art piece. I don’t wear my jewelry often, so I bought a jewelry holder that shows off my stashes my jewelry. I love looking at it!
That's a great idea!💕
I feel better about my mistakes. I usually resell them. But don’t get rid of that dress, it looks great on you. Most things do ! And I know it’s not a great fabric to wear, but you can wear that on a cool spring night.
MmK! How are your regrets, MY WISH LIST?!?!🤦🏽♀️🤭🤣❤
Lol same!
🤭🤭
Not every piece is going to work for everyone, I know you bought something and thought This is going to look great on me and then it didn't, it happens
@@emilymulcahy I have regret pieces.... it's just that Carla's are my WISH pieces! 🤭
@@nycole8192 and some of your regrets may be her wishes
Love that dress! The shoes look great with it!
So fun❤️🌹
That green purse looks like a "Friendship ball" to me - you could hang it in the garden for decoration
That dress says September/April. Its amazing.
The bag is fabulous though!
Red boots make everything better, Carla!!!💕✌🏾
Beautiful dress
i regret not getting some things in a thrift shop, is there a vid on that, too? just love the fab tita energy
Just "fabulous Dahhhlin'"!!
😂🤣
Love that video
*Happy to see you* 🩵🤍🩷
Thank you for being here love 💖🙌

💌💋
The earrings are beautiful! Have you ever tried them as either hair accessories, or shoe clips on a pair of basic black heels???
Love your content
Thank you for being here 🙏❤️
Cut the sleeves of the flower dress and you'll have a great Spring outfit!
Maybe that green ball purse can be repurposed as useful decoration... I could see that as a weed stash in a dorm room ( in a state where weed is legal)...or hanging in laundry room or kitchen to stash whatever fits...or hanging above a retro chair in a living room for no other reason but for it's prettiness....
Polyester. What WERE you thinking 🤔 Cannot wear 10 months out of the year in Dallas. Or if one has hot flashes .
I’ve given up on polyester all together. I live in Australia. Enough said.
I know 😅 the print sold me
The earings amy be used as a jewellery for shoes. I m looking for exactly ones now.
I have a lot of impulse buys that I end up regret buying however, I’m now trying the if-I-can-style-it-7-ways then I’m definitely buying 😅
Love that! Versatility is key 💖💖
@@CarlaRockmore1 would love to see a functional wardrobe staples video from you one day! 💟 i’m trying to reinvent my style into a more classic but never for the lack of fun! Life is too short not to have colors and prints! 💃🏽
The earings could be details in a bag, belt, hat, you can take some pieces of the earings and make smaller ones.
querida carla, cuando me pasa eso con los pendientes, los transformo en broches y quedan fenomenal! un abrazo desde cádiz🌊✨ españa♥️
I'm going to try this ✨
I really almost never have shopping regrets as far as buyer's remorse goes.
1. I stick to a limited palate, with very rare exceptions. Sometimes things don't work with what I wanted them to work with, but I can pretty much always make something I love work.
2. Fundamentally, one doesn't really *need* much once one has the basics with which to cover one's body. Beyond absolute basics, I almost exclusively buy "investment pieces." Like, tippy top of my budget, things I have to save up for. When you're spending three, four, or sometimes more months of clothing budget on one piece you have to think super carefully. I practically never buy anything more than a graphic tee on a whim. It's well worth having fewer top of the line pieces that you know you'll love forever.
3. I shop with someone who I trust. Having someone who says, "Don't you have four of those already?" or, "Do you think you can wear something that fashion forward often enough to really justify the price?" is really helpful. I'm a gay guy in my thirties, and while I don't think I'd really trust my husband's taste enough to do my shopping for me, he's really good at keeping me from buying yet another black cashmere shrunken blazer, and he's good at keeping me from buying the most avant garde piece in the store, which just doesn't fit into my lifestyle. We don't always agree, but when we don't agree I know I have to put a bit more thought in.
4. I wear roughly what I wear most days when I go shopping. I don't get super dressed up even if I'm going to Bergdorf's or whatever. I want to see how the pieces I'm looking at are going to work with what I wear most.
5. By and large, trends are for people with no personal style. Moreover, personal style is ageless, trends aren't. On the rare occasion I indulge in something trendy, I go for things that get worn out. I know I only get a year or two tops out of a pair of sneakers, so sneakers are a good candidate. A trendy shirt, maybe. A trendy blazer? No.
6. I have stores hold things for me. For big purchases, I ask stores to hold pieces for an hour or two. I'll get a coffee, lunch, a cocktail, whatever and think over what I'm buying. If I'm marathon shopping, I take pictures of the things I'm considering and make my choices toward the end of the day.
7. When possible, I have salespeople pull racks for me. You'd be surprised how many stores will do this for you. (And be excited to do it for you, because it's a lot more fun than dusting or folding tee shirts.) You don't have to be a regular at Dior to get that kind of service. Even some mall stores will do it. It saves a LOT of time, and makes it easier to focus on what you're actually looking for/things that fit your taste. You can also hit more stores in a day, so you don't end up buying a lesser version of something you end up liking better later.
8. Figure out what you like, and stick with it. I know that Italian, American, and British clothes don't tend to suit me, with some exceptions. French and Japanese brands are definitely more my wheelhouse. It's probably prudent for me to skip Bottega Veneta, and spend more time thinking more carefully in Balmain or Comme des Garcons. Once in a while it's important to window shop and check out a little of everything that's out there, but if you're shopping to buy, spending more time where you know you can find something that works for you is a better choice. Moreover, most brands make clothes that look well together, even from season to season. If you mix seasons it generally doesn't look so total look.
9. I'm not good about returning things, so I don't buy much online except from brands where I really know the fit. I hate the excitement of ordering something, waiting for it to arrive, only to find out it doesn't quite work. I know I will try to rationalize something that doesn't work, and get stuck with it. I try to avoid that as much as possible.
10. If you're not a standard size, make an effort to find a decent tailor. You'd be amazed how a nip here, a tuck here, or an inch off the hem can take something from hate to love.
11. Shop sales. It's better to buy exquisite things at the end of the season and wait to wear them than to buy cheap things on season. It's easier for me because I'm a guy, but I honestly almost never buy anything on season unless it's something I'm dying for.
Patrick Bateman?
@@imalrockme Patrick Bateman would never recommend shopping sales.
I'm just trying to give some helpful shopping advice. Most people are truly dreadful at shopping. Like, they'll buy a whole trunkful of clothes from Target at the beginning of the season and then wonder why they don't have anything actually decent. You could definitely buy a great off-season designer piece or two for that, and over time that builds a really great wardrobe.
That dress is really pretty. What if you had the sleeves removed? I think it would be fantastic as a sleeveless. (I live in DFW too, I get it.)
I only regret the things I DIDN’T buy! 🖤
I also regret those things 😅❤️
Same. I'm still incredibly upset that I didn't buy a pair of Gucci Moon Boot style apres ski boots. Like, Easily in my top five life regrets.
@@Bunny-ch2ul they’ll be yours ONE DAY!
I love you ! You are an inspiration and an amazing human❤ 0:29 being
Please always keep the McQueen bag. Hang as feature piece in your dressing area?
You can send me those earrings ANYTIME 🤣
You are so funny 😂😂😂😂
As for the green globe, get a matching crossbody phone lanyard and wear your phone on the outside next to the purse. 🤷🏾♀️
That could work!
@@CarlaRockmore1 or you could always wear it as a necklace a la Flava Flav… just depends on your mood and the occasion. 💪
I have a few purchase regrets. Yes indeed I do and after I decided they are not gonna work. They immediately go out of my closet.
Smart!😅
I’d toss the phone before even considering losing that gorgeous A. McQ. 😊
Those patent boots can't be stretched at the shoe repair shop/cobbler??
Carla, I blove the wide leg pants on Amazon. Wondering if you're considering doing any wide legs in denim? I'd LOVE that!
I want the earings and green ball
They're such fun pieces!😍
I would never regret the clutch. I would make sure i had a pocket or my husband to mnage my phone. Lol
It's a husband bag for sure!💕
I think the Alexander McQueen clutch can fit a flip3 from Samsung
Apparently so 😅 but so can my husbands pockets...
You are the fresh fabulousness!
XX❤️❤️
Is that Ivy appearing in the commercial for Trelegy?
I’d kill for that purse idc if I have to carry my stuff in my pockets that purse is my everyday accessory 😂
I have a similar purse, and I have the same issue with my dang phone!
🙄🙄
And save the green globe - maybe one day there will be cell phones small enough to work with it.🙄Perhaps in time for Ivy to inherit 😅
Maybe it's time for Ivy to enjoy it😅❤️
When you wear the purse just make sure you have pockets for the phone and everything else can go in the bag
Well, a pair of pants or a jacket with good pocket space could be a solution for that awesome Purse
i cant get enough ofbthis lovely woman...i dnt have her wardrobe...or her jewelry...and sadly def not her sense of style...lol...
Thank you for being here love 🙏💕
I bought chanel ballets too small and Ferragamo s pumps to big😢😢😢
Can u show us your closet please
I have a closet tour pinned on my channel!💕
Can I hire you to spice up my wardrobe 😅😅😅
Just say No to Polyester !!!
Carla, how to help my bf with fashion when he cares so little and I care so much?
I regret giving away some clothes more than what I shouldn’t have bought. Insert long sad sigh here
I totally understand the feeling ❤️
I need you to just take me to the mall and tell me the dos and donts of what to buy
I would love to see your make up routine. Your lips always look amazing
Check out Concealer and Conversations on my UA-cam channel! 💖
Problem solved 💋😘
I’ll take the bag off your hands - as a favour 😆😆😆
Perhaps the earrings could be used as broches or belt embellishment!?
À essayer
💕TFS, Carla Dear! Such a shame for the Fabulous purse! …Perhaps a Dress with Pockets Large Enough to Fit your Cell Phone? 🤔 …or there’s always the helpful husband! 😄🤍
That's why I call it my husband bag😅💖
@@CarlaRockmore1 Hah! 🤣🤣🤣💕🤍
I cannot abide wearing polyester. It feels like wearing a trash bag. Looks amazing on you, though.
I agree. It's just too hot 😅
Carla has regrets? Say it ain't so!!!!
Just get a flippy phone :)
So you just need smaller feet, a smaller cellphone and smaller earrings to solve the first 3 because you managed to solve the last one 👏🏻😅
Sweetie you look amazing, ewen if you dit drape your shower curtain arundt you, you would look stunning ❤❤
Big hugs from Denmark 🌹💝🥰
