- This is a quick unboxing and overview video of the AsRock A320M-HDV R4.0 Socket AM4 M-ATX motherboard suitable for AMD Ryzen 1st, 2nd and 3rd series CPUs. In this video I give you a quick look at what's on the out and inside of the box.
I purchased this to go in a tight budget gaming and work PC for a friend. It will be fitted with a 1st gen AMD Ryzen 3 1300X processor now, leaving them plenty of upgrade potential in the future - all the way upto Ryzen 3000 series CPUs.
I purchased this from Amazon UK for around £43 at the time of filming.

It looks like a very good board for the price. I have used Asrock and wouldn''t hesitate to use them for more builds.
Yes it seems a good little board for the price. I generally stick to Gigabyte motherboards as I've never had a problem with them - but the budget of this upcoming build for a friend was really tight. So I tried this out to save a little bit for other parts.
I was not impressed with my first experience though. The board I unboxed for this video turned out to be DOA (dead on arrival) when I came to do the build.
Luckily I got it from Amazon though so got a replacement delivered next day, and I know these things happen so I'll let it slide and consider them again in the future.
I'm going to try and get the build video edited and uploaded in the next week anyhow. :)

@@NathanPH , yeah sh** happens. I have experienced problems with the big names as well. I am currently running 3 Asrock boards as small servers and they work well. A couple of them are AM1 boards. Looking forward to the rest of your build. It appears that the Ryzen 3 CPU's are sold out in a lot of places. Probably because of it's price / performance ratio.
I got lend this mother board by my brother but we both don't know what size screws we need to fit it back in because we lost them.
does it support 5600G?
So does the motherboard have a intergraded GPU in there?
Does it not have jumpers for cmos
Hi Nathan! Thanks for the very informative video. I do have the same motherboard and I wanted to know if GDDR5 or DDR4 GPUs fit on this motherboard? Sorry for the noob question, just starting out to build PCs.
Hey - No problem, Everybody has to start somewhere.
Generally the memory type of a graphics card doesn't really matter at all when it comes to motherboard compatibility. Infact generally as long as the motherboard has a PCIe 16x slot, you can put virtually any graphics card in it, and it should just work in 99.9% of cases.
The only memory type that applies to a motherboard is for the system memory, or RAM, of which this motherboard requires DDR4 - This would always be stated on the spec page for the board or the box anyway.
Happy building!
