Tavarish, this was a really great project! Your next HUGE project should be building a supercar or hypercar for Jared that he can actually get into, out of, and drive in complete comfort and un-cramped. Get an SLC chassis, modify it for his dimensions for leg room and head room, his choice of engine and transaxle, then have a Viewer Design Contest for the exterior and interior design and have you and Jared decide the best viewer designs. Have your local composites people make the body and interior pieces and finish it out for SEMA 2022 or 2023 and as a gift to Jared for being such an awesome friend and amazing help for your projects.
Amazing Job! Although after factoring in the man hours on top of the costs of the build, you have an expensive salvage title McLaren 675LT. Especially given the fact that one can purchase a clean title example for 265k currently. Although I understand on project cars its really done out of love for the car and the process.
Two other questions - how much time do you think you spent on this, and what are the labor costs associated with that? And what about paying your friend that helped you out so much - are those costs in there? Also, would be good to know how you kept everything organized. With so many parts involved, and very specific steps to disassemble and reassemble something so complex, it'd be good to get an understanding of how you kept track of everything. Also, great job!
The only labor that was factored in was labor that was charged on body work, carbon repair work, and vinyl work. All other work was done by me and a few others. All in there is about 3000 man hours in the project.
I would assume that Jared and him split the proceeds of the UA-cam revenue for this, and he understandably wouldn't probably want those numbers to be public.
@@tavarish Well I meant the AD revenue, but I suppose it's sponsored by Autotempest, so I guess don't know how that all works. Jared seems like an overly nice guy, but I hope and would assume you aren't suggesting he isn't also being paid somehow for everything he does.
Real talk.....I thought this would never be completed; so many of these builds start and just sort of fade away with the introduction of new projects. +1 to Tavarish!
As a British person I am ashamed to see how much Mclaren take the piss on their parts prices. They are having a Girrafe at you. Fine job you have done on that there Jam Jar.
To be fair, most of the people who buy these don't see those prices as troubling and are told that is what it will cost going in. When you are buying stuff like that you are buying the brand and the quality knowing that there is a low run on any parts and most stuff is not standard. I can't remember who it was but it was a UK car reviewer that said that when you buy one you double the price you pay for everything that goes with owning and maintaining one and just think of it as the cost of the warranty package. I look at it as if you don't dive it much and it never gets into an accident you get a discount of the real price McLaren wants to make off each car. Me, I think I would have a custom car built for that money, but then again I am not a rich car guy. You don't want to know how much I would pay for my computers if I was rich.

Awesome work and awesome car. This was an amazing project that was worth every penny and every painstaking moment. One thing that is bothering me is why get the secondary air pumps if the car is catless?
The rebuild is amazing, Tavarish. But i was wondering something. Will you get the car tuned to take advantage of the upgraded turbos? The car won't boost more unless you tell it to! Hopefully we get a video of that :)

Yes. At the end of the day, it's still a salvage title. If you were shopping a quarter million dollar car. Would you buy a rebuilt wreck or a untouched car with slightly less stuff in it?
@@reggien737 Idon't know about the rest of the country. But in NY, a MV907A rebuilt title makes a car basically worthless. Regardless of the rebuild job quality. Should give him a job.

@@funkworthrollin4959 hwhat? dude makes more working on cars he wants to..He is his own boss lol.
Glad you didn’t end up screwing yourself on this one man, congrats! Plus you got all the add revenue and subs that the series provided so that offsets it a bit too.
What a car! I am glad you did this. I’d be scared to drive that car in normal traffic too. 😅
Quite the epic, haven't seen anything like that rebuild. Kudos. It's truly beautiful
I really love these rebuild series.
I loved the lambo and I love this McLaren.
Keep up the good work, it takes the mind of the reality.
So you offered a piece of the car two years ago for a shirt sale. I bought a shirt. Didn’t get a piece of the car yet. Congrats on the build though, truly one of the best things on UA-cam.
Awesome work and awesome car. This was an amazing project that was worth every penny and every painstaking moment. One thing that is bothering me is why get the secondary air pumps if the car is catless?
Magificent car, incredable work. Tavarish stays humble, great guy. Following since the Mercedes SLK AMG.
Your a good man Tavarish, i ordered a print. Best wishes!
I am so happy for you! Congratulations on your project and to everyone who cooperated on it. Can't wait for your next big project!
The rebuild is amazing, Tavarish. But i was wondering something. Will you get the car tuned to take advantage of the upgraded turbos? The car won't boost more unless you tell it to! Hopefully we get a video of that :)
I love your intro thanking viewers for watching and to “consider” subscribing. Very low key and respectful. I hate the you tubers that are always shoving the subscription and notification down our throats (don’t forget to smash the subscribe button.....argh). The only thing I do when I hear that is to stop watching and delete.
The scoop is so worth it though. Extortionate yes but the whole look of the car has changed. For less than 3 plastic mclaren logos you can replace the entire windshield lmao.
Kudos!! You did a great job. This project could have hit the skids at any turn. Vary nerve wracking.
Congratulations.
Listening to the amounts each part cost, I'm thinking of all the daily drivers that I could buy for each wheel well, roof scoop and aluminum bolt haha
roof alone is the cost of 3-4 project cars, or 1 nice daily.
Heck yeah! Cars and helping people, an amazing combo!
Thanks for taking us through another amazing journey this and vtuned 720s is one of the best builds on UA-cam
The car looks absolutely amazing.
You should PPF it to protect that awesome paint.
Be interesting to see what a car valuer would value it at as it is now.
Freddy, good on you for taking a platform you've been given and helping people. Like... Really giving them all of the proceeds. That's awesome. Thanks man!
Tavarish: let's spend hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Tavarish's wallet: I can't take it anymore. I'm outta here!
Tavarish: I guess that this is a good time to talk about our sponsor, Ridge wallet!
Great job! Whith heart and not giving up. What a journey. Congrats!
With the cost of repair to make it a roadworthy and better than brand new, it is well worth it.
Absolutely stunning job the both of you did on this car!! Absolutely gorgeous!
21:11 is what you're here for the amount he spent 😳😳😳
If this is the most expensive thing you ever paid for I wanna move to your neighborhood now.
Most people don't buy houses with cash. Money is cheap these days, and mortgages are no exception.
@@SharpTurnStudios Your argument doesn't stack up. He didn't pay for this all in one go, and the rest of the world considers the debt they carry on a mortgage to be what they paid for the house.
@@ruk2023-- this was $240k over a couple of years. Most Americans would take out a $240k loan and pay it off over 15 years. This is a very different concept. No loans involved.
pro: you get a cheap house
con: florida
I really appreciate that you are a human and you are doing good stuff for those in need 🤗✋🏼🙏🏼
Mad props to you for completing such a hard project. But who "thought fixing a McLaren would be cheap"😂😂😂
Thank you Tavarish. You, Hoovie, Car Wizard, and the whole gang have brought a lot of smiles over the last couple of years!!
I’m here Freddy, like always.
Came for the SL, stayed for everything since.
I'm in my sixties and ever since I was in my twenties I love the Mercedes SL I drove 1time in the rain and it was like on-rails bro amazing car
@@rodneypratt7082 dad had an 05 XKR, I had an 09 XK coupe, but how I have lusted after an SL55 since my youth.
Dude, that interior is worth EVERY penny! It is absolutely stunning!
With all the work put into this car, i’d say this should be reclassified as a clean car. That car is too beautiful for the salvage title. Easily that car looks like its worth $500,000, for all the custom work, and interior.
Don’t matter if it’s too “beautiful” for a salvage title. It’s a salvage title at the end of the day
@@melwaj5563 it's also a rare limited car
@@dietznutz1 ok that’s fine. It’s still a salvage car that’s had the entire subframe replaced and butchered, and a carbon tub that was repaired but a guy that works on bikes. Still a cool car tho
It was hacked together it should absolutely keep the branded title.
@@FishFind3000 he literally did everything properly what are you on about
Man I must say people like you keep drams alive in people like me.
God bless.
I thought the end total would be way higher. The $240k includes the purchase price, right?
Yes it's everything included
Beautiful rebuild. You da man. Obviously a man of goodwill, helping your friends and neighbors. Now let's talk business, I'll give you $5000 for the McLaren. Come on it was totalled. Seriously, congrats on the rebuild, more importantly thank you for helping your friends in need. May many graces be bestowed upon you. 🙏
Tavarish I would keep a eye out for a windshield, those tend to crack according to other McLaren owners
A lot of hard work… it looks great nice job 🇺🇸
You’d think Mclaren or someone would offer you a badass job at this rate
@@bitcoochie4093 I could see bringing him in as a consultant on better ways to engineer certain things in the future cars.
My best friends dad, the man who raised me, got the same diagnosis 2 weeks ago. Three days after we found out he passed, and today is his funeral. I’m glad to see people going out and helping to make others more comfortable in the last leg of their lives.
NEVER reveal the real cost to your WIFE!!!
Oh, that old car?
We've had that beat up old piece of Hoovie hooptie for a long time.
Just working on it here and there.
Say Honey, is that a new dress?
Real cost? Never heard of her.
Sat here watching every single episode from start to finish once again just because I can. I wouldnt even be looking at other 675LT's to compare it to because you can't. To add all that work in once again to guarantee you know every bolt is safe while driving must be worth so much more.
Its got a long way to fly, but I'll look forward to a print in the new year
Wait! Did you just say the battery was $3,500 new from McLaren and the front subframe was 3500 new for McLaren? Somehow that math really doesn't add up
He said the subframe was used off a 650s
Kudos to you! I love this channel and you also are where I grew up at. A central Florida guy! Your work is incredible and I am happy for you. So when do we get more charger episodes?
Dude come on. You know you don't make money on mods. Especially to rebuild a destroyed car. I don't wanna hear that this thing is more valuable than a non wrecked car. No matter what you do it will never ever be the same.
Yes. At the end of the day, it's still a salvage title. If you were shopping a quarter million dollar car. Would you buy a rebuilt wreck or a untouched car with slightly less stuff in it?
👏👏👏👏 you sir deserve everything and more!! You are by far the best UA-camr in the automotive world!
...at the end of the day, it's still a salvage title.
Youre 100% wrong. Its a rebuilt title.
@@reggien737 Idon't know about the rest of the country. But in NY, a MV907A rebuilt title makes a car basically worthless. Regardless of the rebuild job quality. You will most likely never get any kind of fire/theft/collision insurance on it. If you can get a company to issue a replacement policy, it will be at a drastically reduced value. I know a McLaren is never truly "worthless". But it will NEVER, EVER be valued anywhere near a "clean" title. You can knock off 75% of the retail value regardless of how "mint" it looks.
@@kewrock You dont know what youre talking about. R titles reduce 25% of value. Thousands sold in the US everyday. Ive sold numerous R titles, a few R title diesel rams at total Value due to demand, and Im only a few hours from NY.
@@reggien737 OK . You spend a quarter of a million dollars on a car that was wrapped around a tree, front and back.
The print is great (museum owner)! Thanks, hats off to the artist and Tavarish!
I watched this one from the beginning and I NEVER thought it would turn out so gorgeous!! You should be proud!
Just enjoyed the build process all the details, just the effort and hard work you put in. U have taken your channel to the next level. Money aside just a great form of entertainment. You have progressed the motoring content creation on UA-cam your views are proof. Keep up the great builds and providing us with your work ethic brilliant to see and the good you do for those in need.
This was an amazing series, and props to you for the great episodes, and for the awesome outcome. I hope you enjoy this car for as long as you like.
Good job and nice build. It was awesome to watch you finish a build.
