I was disappointed that there were no salutations at the end for Kasatkina. She has already spoken out against the war, which I think is very brave of her. This is how the argument that the Ukrainians are just waiting for the Russians and Belarus to demonstrate that they are not in favor of war falls apart. War that we all hope ends quickly and fairly.

When you have a 6-0 record against an opponent it just makes it so much easier to navigate through the match. Great match.
Elina hitting was stronger and more consistent. Would have liked to see a third set decider. As for the handshake, if Elina had one with Daria, it would have been alright, given Elina has acknowledged Daria has been brave in her remarks for peace. But, on other hand, it might not be to Daria's favor to be singled out that way. I think these people find a way to communicate their positions off the court.
Also Daria has been brave openly talking about her own homosexuality which goes against Putin politics

The Roland Garros crowd is the most disgusting tennis crowd by a mile.
Even though Ukrainian players don't shake hands with Russian/Belarussian opponents Svitolina and a few others acknowledge them with a thumbs up or some words. Kosyuk on the other hand was plain rude and didn't even make eye contact to Sabalenka and just left.
