#RolandGarros - Спорт
Beautiful! Two years ago Sabalenka would have cracked after that 1st set comeback by Stevens. She is so mentally tough now she can work her way out of trouble and overcome the tough parts of a match. Absolutely Brilliant!!! 😀🎉
100% Her mentality is impressive, and she had to build it step by step. Saba and her team have reason to be proud.
The war has made her stronger. She's fighting for the pride of Belarus (and by proxy Russia). Roland-Garros is her Ukraine, and she will prevail.
@@wahn10 Spot on. She's been toughened up through some of the hardships she's overcome.
Sceamalenka !!!!! !!!! !!!!
@@copperbeckville1853 Belarus is not Russia, the same way Ukraine is not Russia. Lukashenko is Soviet minded dictator who does not see the difference, but most Belarussians do not feel Russians.
I thought there was no way Stevens was ever going to be in contention again. It’s great to see her compete so closely with Sabalenka.
why ? she was in contention with sabalenka ?
And Stephen’s tennis is so classic and nice watching. Sabalenka should not be playing at Paris neither other Z citizens.
@@lefor.michel348 Yes, it seems Stephens has not had the game to beat the best players, but she is improving quickly and played Sabalenka very closely.
Sloane Stephens is one of the most inconsistent players on the tour. You never know if she plays Top 10 or even Top 5 tennis or if she will lose against world number 100. But I really like her game and personality on court.
@@aarnemark who said stephens had not the game to beat the best players ,sabalenka ?
As a tennisplayer you sometimes have to fight against yourself more than against your adversary. That is what happened to Aryna against Sloane Stevens. But Aryna won, so great respect for her.
That's always been Sloane's issue, getting started and finishing strong.
@@KnowTrentTimoy Sloane played her best game to be honest and I'm proud of her. Sabalenka struggled because he was getting back the pace and she was not use to it but she is brick wall.
When Sloane comes to play she can beat anyone. I hope she maintains this level during the Summer events.
@@jesuslovesmebut8180 no she didn't. She won a 125 event, not even 250
@JesusLovesMe But Yeh i feel she is afraid to tap her full potential and is actually quite nervous. Knows how to come back but when it gets close see freezes up again.
You have basically stated that she didn't come to play since she didn't beat Sabalenka.
@@bganonimouse2754 She played very well against Sabalenka. I just wish she'd bring it every time.
Sabalenka’s mental toughness is really amazing. You can tell that people really love underdogs but she made it through and it’s really remarkable!
Agreed brother ..yes she is amazing lady ❤
and her really loud and annoying scream! it can get so distracting at times!
@@RobertDeluna-de5ou why you are watching then, knowing that she is screaming! either watch or don't watch. no one is asking you to watch screaming girl. LOL. enjoy life, stop complaining man.
@@priya929g well, i did and did not…. i watched the first part but did not finish! Am i not allowed to feel that way? as her screams are just TOO LOUD for her opponent to be irritated and so as some watchers!
Good job Sloane on fighting really felt her out there! Love to see her doing well! Congrats to sab for this big win👍🏻
There are very few who can withstand the pace that sabalenka hits with. And she is able to do it shot after shot. Sloane did well to hang in but couldn’t capitalize
Sabalenka sounds like she’s giving birth.😁
And even fewer her screams.
Sloan playing some good tennnis finally❤
Sloane did way better than I thought that she would.
Yeah. She really fought for this one, which is good to see, and really made it a close match. And that's hard to do against Aryna. Congrats to both!
What? Way better would be beating her. Now she almost got destroyed in the first set to then come back cuz nothing to lose but choke in the end
@@lammie001 Yeah, that means the OP expected it to be a blowout. It’s not hard to not be obtuse.
Well yeah, Sabalenka was hitting error after error after error.
@@MalphasMikaelson we often think errors are lack of focus, but they are more often being caused by the opponent.
If Sabalenka gets to a final against Swiatek, she can’t afford laps of concentration/momentum like in this match.
Lapses
I think in the current form Iga is pretty much invincible
Sloane played at her absolute ceiling. She couldn't beat the invader on her worst day. Sabalenka is a power playing giant with the power of the soviet union behind her. Nobody beat her this tennis time.
Sabalenka did not have it so easy. the hope is that this is her last match at RG, but if she makes it to the finals, Swiatek will crush her😊
@@jacekchmielewski6372 tak jest, wygra RG :)
Why can't we see the press conferences?
She's an invader, and she's turning the tide of the war in her Ukraine called Roland-Garros.
Tough loss for Sloane. Wanted to see her go far
Sabalenka should feel really proud of herself. If anyone refuses her handshake they should be fined in my view. 🇧🇾
Overly loud players out to be fined.
RG highlight reel maker PLEASE give us more than just game points... there was such good shot making in this match and virtually none of it is in this video!!!
There is NO reason to scream for that long. Loud is one thing, but that long is a hindrance and deliberate.
Great to see Sloan being so strong! Congrats to Sabalenka. Amazing as always.
Sabalenka and other RU sportsmen OUT. BOYCOT RUSSIA 🇺🇦🇪🇺💪
Great to see Sloane Stephens back playing at this level. Hopefully she’s able to dedicate herself and find a passion to be in the top 10 again.
Sabalenka will have a huge challenge if she makes it to the finals against Swiatek. The French crowd has decided that she is the loud bullying villain this year.
I have NOT seen that, I think the French crowd is fair and been the best so far...best players are driven by inner fire, I just think Iga is the best player on clay in the WTA so far, but the crown is there to be challenged!
She ma be loud...but in terms of the French crowd getting on her THIS YEAR, you obviously missed the match with Kostyuk, or you are just another unhappy p4p.
Fight your way back from 0-5, only to lose the set in a tiebreaker. That must've hurt! Sloane put up a good fight though.
@JesusLovesMe But interesting take. I'd believe you, for everyone is different.
What a fantastic match! ❤
I did not expect Sloane to play like this. She can really act as if she doesn't care. I think today she played great. I love her effortless play style. Hope she gets it together again.
2 of my favourite players on the tour. Sloane Stephens is in good form. She would have deserved to play Quarter-finals again this year in RG like she did last year. Hope to see her back in the top 30 and then top 20 soon. Unfortunately her form varies alot. But she has all the abilities.
Agreed to everything you say about Sloane...however she seems to be consistently good at RG, but as you say, most times, one never knows what game she is going to bring to the court.
@@ronwatts5827 Sloane Stephens is one of the most inconsistent players on the tour. You never know if she plays Top 10 or even Top 5 tennis or if she will lose against world number 100. But I really like her game and personality on court.
That was amazing from both players! Sloane had one of the best come backs in the first set. Such amazing fight, really inspiring. Good luck to Sablenka on her next match.
Pourquoi vous ne mettez pas les highlights des match de Ons Jabeur ?
How many breaks of serve?
Match was tough for Sabalenka mentally. I think she did what she can. Great job out there!
Really Roland Garros? REALLY? Those girls fought like crazy and delivered an amazing match and what you decide to do is put all of the UEs in the Highlights and barely any winner? Shame on you! The match was by far the match of the day!
Amazing match
Good win for Saba, both seemed to be playing well.
This season's Sabalenka is really something interesting to see.
Though not her best day, it was great to watch Aryna claw her way back with such intelligence and persistence. The most watchable, and by far the most improved, tennis player in the WTA.
Sabalenka is still grunting when Stephens is hitting the ball. How does she get away with that lol
Wonderful battle.
Great performance from Sloane! Such a shame about the tiebreak though
Great performance
This match was insanely good
The 2 most beautiful forehands on tour
Yess!
Sloane played very well - she feels confident at Rivne Garos.
Sloanie really brings her "A" game when she plays a big-name opponent. Too bad she couldn't have played a mental game throughout her career where she tells herself that every match is against Serena or Azarenka.
Amazing match!!! I ain't having much time to watch this first week but that was worth... intensity, nice ball striking they delivered. Sabalenka still got some work to do on stability of her game 5 perfect games and then the reverse and when Sloane wants she's a high class player so outplay that Sloane isn't the easiest task, Sloane serving better would've been fatal for Sabalenka in the 1st set.
Congratulations, Aryna 👏🎾❤️
A surprisingly close match given ratings et all. But sometimes ratings count for nothing, and Sloane has been playing extremely well at RG, where she historically has done well. Great match.
Happy days!
It was Sabalenka Vs Sabalenka. Either she played well or she lost her focus. Sloane played a very poor second set, her body movement was pathetic, she was up 40-0 at 4-4 in the second set, and then played out a series of unforced errors to lose that game and eventually the matches. Can’t believe she won a grand slam once.
She isn't motivated because there isn't a Williams sister standing across from her. Then all sudden she's invested. It looks like she's going through the motions, not really digging it out or willing to take those little steps to rebalance.
Every player has a plan and a strategy for a match. Ms.Stephens' plan, I reiterated a couple years ago appears to be to hit balls that come within HER zone. She ain't planning to run down and stretch for every ball.
Okkkayyy...but that means what does come within her strike zone must have an extremely percentage winner statistic and what if her opponent starts to hit more low percentage shots outside her strike zone? Analytics and AI in how to play each opponent would show her team that they have a low stakes run.
In my opinion, Carlos Alcaraz is very reminiscent of Aryna Sabalenka in the game. Both play very strong and aggressive tennis, both have a lot of winners and uforced errors, both run fast on the court, both are very high in the ranking, both have one Grand Slam tournament win each.
Even the same birthday
But Alcaraz is more likely to court (no pun) onlyfans than is the invader. Both do have tough opponents to dispatch, but Roland-Garros is Sabalenka's Ukraine, and she's fighting for more than money, fame, and motel room activities.
@@copperbeckville1853 last time I checked it was the Americans who are the World biggest Invaders as they 'spread democracy'
I would rather say that her style of play resembles Đoković's rather than Alcaraz's.
In My opinion the difference between Alcatraz and Aryna is that I think Sabalenka's not doping.
Congratulations Aryna! What an exciting match! The most important thing is that you have advanced to the quarterfinals. Go for the title Saba! ❤️🦁
let Sabalenka have some more fun and shout, because soon Świątek will mercilessly destroy her
@@rusofobkacertyfikowana Swiatek fans are so pathetic, Sabalenka will humiliate Iga like she did in Madrid
Way to fight from Aryna. I hate to see Sloane out right before QF's though :(
I really wanted to see you when this Sloan Stevens. I see your effort hopefully you'll make it Back into the top ten. Congrats sabalinca!✨
Yeuwwwww. Sabalenka
Amazingly able Stephens' defence from chaotic artillery fire. But only a defence...
Why not Saba haf also 7 more mistakes then winners.
Damm. What an error ridden match
Saba gotta do better with those errors.
Hopefully she gets it together because she's not been dominant in this tournament like I expected
Congratulations Though.
They should add a rule that if you are still screaming when the ball passes over the net towards the opponent, then you lose the point. Screaming will stop after 1 match. Coco actually complained that her opponent was still screaming when she was trying to hit the ball. That should not be allowed. Screamalenka is not the only screamer. There are many, even on the men's side.
Totally agree... should be illegal... some points Sabalenka still screaming as Sloan is hitting the ball...
How in the world nobody protests this???
Coco needs to focus on what's going on her side of the net. Only mentally weak players allow external forces to mess with their game. Mentally tough players focus on the things they can control.
Odd highlights, showing a lot of unforced errors, like the one at 2-2 in the tiebreak.
Great match. Now I would love to see Stephens carry this resurgence over to the grass. Sabalenka will be number one soon. If not this week very soon. She’s too locked in now.
How much can you pay attention to? What is she doing at the French Open? What are Sabalenka and other tennis players from Belarus and Russia doing at the French Open?
SCREAMALENKA❗️😄
Congrats, Aryna! The hardest matches are yet to come, but I believe that you will emerge victorious from all of them and win the title! You absolutely can win the title, don't give up! 💪🏆🥇
Драма! Видимо Арина сильно хотела раз на то пошло, повесить баранку, но из-за 5-1 ее подломило видимо! Главное, что первый сет все-таки дожала и довела матч до победы!

Forza Sabalenka!
I'm sorry is this highlights or LOWlights😅
Wasn't really far for Sloane to grab a win here. Anyway, I think that determined Svitolina might be twice as dangerous to Screamalenka having french fans behind.
Although she lost, someone has lit a match under Sloane Stephens recently. She seems to have regained a certain fire and belief in herself. Epic tennis as usual!
How was this epic tennis? Neither player impressed in this match.
0:5 --> 4:5 HOW?? How could Sabalenka allow this? She recently said she was ready to be No.1. I don't think it's time yet
Unfortunatly she will become no.1. If not after RG, then soon, cause grass season is coming
5-0 became 6-all and Sloane led the tiebreak and was up a mini break and 4-2. Sloane made a few errors in the last few points of the tiebreak that cost her the match. Who knows what would have happened if she won that first set.
Aryna was extremely lucky to win this match : she lost a 5-0 lead in the first set, and she was then behind in the tie-break, and the last two points in the tie-break were won through a net-cord ball, and then a mishit by Sloane. In my view she needs to review her tactics a bit : like Maria Sharapova, she slams every ball. She could take a leaf out of Carlos Alcaraz‘s book and include some intelligent drop-shots in her game. As a reply to drop-shots by Sloane she slammed several shots into the net instead of making an intelligent reply..🎾🤷🏼♂️🎾
@JesusLovesMe But Absolutely correct - power shots have their place in tennis, but as players like Alcaraz, Gaston and others have shown, the other shots are essential pieces of equipment in a tennis player‘s toolbox.. 🎾👍🎾
@JesusLovesMe But PS What does the „But“ in „Jesus loves me“ mean ??? 🤷🏼♂️
@JesusLovesMe But OK - thank you for the explanation. I‘m sure you know that Jesus loves you UNCONDITIONALLY. ❤️❤️❤️
@JesusLovesMe But If you “know” Jesus, then you must also know of His Blessed Mother. In her apparitions at Garabandal, she prophesied a kind of pre-Judgment Day, more commonly known as the Warning, or Enlightenment of conscience. On that day, EVERYONE on this planet will see his/her soul as God sees it.. and it’s not going to be a pleasant experience..
Didn't see this match, only these highlights. Were there as many unforced errors as it seemed in these highlights? Seemed to be both women were hitting key shots either long or wide.
@@jesuslovesmebut8180 Thank you for the stats. It seems the highlights were showing what happened with the errors.
I thought Stephens might end up winning this one. Then I saw the thumbnail....
Sabalenka was never once in trouble or doubt. That's the pro-Ukraine conditioning speaking.
Yeah nice error filled highlights reel, RG. WTF?
Atp and WTA must get rid of such grunts
From 5-0 to tie break OMG,, Sabalenka more focused if want get the second her GS trophy
was this tennis, or cricket? some of those missed shots look like the players were trying to hit 6 runs! it was a comedy of errors. LOL! good effort by sloane. put up a better fight than i expected, but she has to dig deeper than that to beat aryna right now. i guess sloane raises her game the better her opponent! congrats to both for an entertaining match
Winners - Unforced Errors
Stephens: 5 - 19
Saba: 24 - 40
That says everything about the quality of the match. It's incredible that Stephens almost won the first set just by keeping the ball in play. She was so passive, she didn't even try to hit winners. If she hadn't made those easy and completely baffling errors in the tie-break, I'm sure Saba would have done her the favor and added a few more UE's. Iga would have thrashed her yesterday, but not just Iga, probably any player with a slightly more aggressive game than Stephens. It's also remarkable that Saba played pretty flawless tennis in the first four games, but then she started making unforced errors like there's no tomorrow. And she never really stopped.
@JesusLovesMe But Thanks, man. Stephens played as if this was a training session, but at least she looked relaxed. 😄
Wgat the hell 5-0 then 7-6 Sabalenka?! Should fix this
Her grunts are obviously too long on purpose to distract the opponent...foul play.
Wow...looks like pretty low quality...based on highlights. Go Muchova!
Yo upload what happened to miyu kato
It was close Sloane, I can't stand that screamer. I hope Svitolina beats her.
This has to be the worst highlights reel ever. Almost every point shown was a horrible error. These two likely had a few really good points, but they weren’t shown here.
I thought Sharapova had retired?!?!
Saba has elevated her game both mentally and technically to a new level and she can have a shot at 3 remaining GS this year.
Go Sabalenka!!! ❤ Love her.
An aggressive Sabelanka is the best women's tennis player if she continues like this 100% champion/No.1
Dear Aryna. We are proud of you. You are playing for president Alexander Lukashenko and for nice country Belarus.
Screaming like that should be illegal...
It's unprofessional, intentional and deliberate to distract...
Disappointing editing, but nothing unexpected from the RG youtube channel
Арина, люблю! ))
almost there Sloane! C mon!
Almost where...retirement?
Hopefully goes on to win
Stephens from 40:0 lost her game that.s awful for a proffesional player not find a way to make it 5:4 in the second set and go on!Congratulations to Sabalenka!
Same professional player that came back from a 5-0 deficit? Interesting! I don’t have that she lost the set it’s the fight that she put up!
Sloan Stevens is good looking. That counts for something.☺️
they are so obsessed with speed, pace
just power game
no accuracy at all
too many errors
Aryna can only be beaten by Aryna and her brilliance-to-desperation game. But I guess that's why she's the most interesting player on the WTA tour.
I agree with you, Aryna can be her own enemy if she is not focus, I mean she is all winners or errors… maybe she should try like “reset” herself sometimes..
Sabalenka has no chance with Świątek on these courts
@@rusofobkacertyfikowana and it will be the flip side of that at Wimbledon
@@robbyten100 could be, who knows that, but now Iga has to defend her title and being number one.

I know its not against the rules but sabalenkas constant screaming must be so offputting for other players
Alcaraz too
I used to bother, but she is playing so good that I just don't care! Just focus on her skill cos baby girl is doing it RIGHT!
No 🤦🏽♂️ Tennis players are so focused that screams don't bother them so much

Its fine if a player is reaching for a ball or if its towards the end of the match but not alcaraz sabalenka nadal trevisan level
Those Frenchs have lots of energy to support some players they like, for Geopolitical reasons, and hate the rivals, to the point of becoming delirious when they make double falts... That's right, to much energy... Therefore, Emmanuel Macron was totally right when he decided that that energy must to be used for the good of the country... And decided those energetic French shoud be not able to retire so young... And work at least to a John Biden sort of age, to make a good use of such vibrant energy... Well done, so all singing together now... “Allons enfant de la patrie... Le jour de gloire est arrivé...”
I hope final whit Swaitek 🙏
Sabalanka must be the most frustrating player on the tour.!😅
Just when you think she is winning she goes walkabout.!
How she won this match i will never know.!
Hard to believe that she can be on top of her game in one moment and then make the most terrible mistakes the next.
I think her coach just shakes his head at times.
Her lack of consentration at times is something to work on for the future.!
She should addopt a motto or a phrase to remind her to think when she gets into the dark phase.!
Sloan has problems of her own in that regard.
She should never have lost this match.
Only blind luck and power got Sabalenka through this one.
I dont see much more in Sabalenkas way to the final now.!
Could be Muchova maybe?
Iga has got a tough road ahead of her from here.
Not sure she is going to make it to the final.
If she does Sabalenka wil be waiting for her.
With her head screwd back on she should win this easily again, like last time the two met?
Muchova im not so sure.!
She is a tough cookie.
Cold as ice and solid as a rock.!
For Sabalenkas sake i can only hope she gets beat before the final.
Who will win the final?
Your thoughts please?
and when did Sabalenka easily win the final? I remember when she lost easily. But when did she easily win? Well, unless it is that when Sabalenka wins 2-1 it is an easy victory and when she loses 2-0 ... we do not remember about it at all. Then it's all ok with your statement.
Sloane Stevens played sone of her best tennis in this match n Sabalenka obviously suffered some serious lapses in concentration...she can't beat Iga playing like this!!!
Sabalenka was never once in trouble or doubt. That's the pro-Ukraine conditioning speaking.
Go go go Aryna I can't wait when you will bit the ukrainian Swiatek. New number one (soon) and Roland Garros champion Aryna Sabalenka!
Seems like Sloan's footwork wasn't the best on some of those terribly missed swings. You have to be more consistent against a top player like Aryna.
