- I decided to fish a lake that's only 7 minutes from my home, I haven't fished it in 15 years because it was a heavily poached water.
The method was Trolling for Pike from the Belly Boat in what I can only describe as torrential Rain!

That's one cracking video 👍 insane but crackling. 🤣 Fair play to you for sticking with it. Not pleasant being out in that in naut but a fleece. A few fish changes everything. The pike were lovely looking colours and pattern.if left alone would be a decent water for pike. And the belly boat trolling with the full set up proved how effective it could be. Very impressive. Looking forward to more videos like that. Drier ones maybe. 🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍 Hope ya don't end up coughing and sneezing after that. 👍

Simon i fished that Lake many times year's a go & it's good to see the fish r doing okay again just hope it's not fished out again, o & like your belly boat 👍🎣

good stuff simon that weather was brutal don’t think i’d be as brave to stick it out but those were some big marks on the finder that was defo a 20 on the bottom 👀

The lakes never fish it, there has to be big fish in it has it's a trout lake. Would walk around it lots off Cormorants on the lake counted 13 one day

No it's a Railblaza camera boom, it's just a bit discoloured
Sweet proper bonus should do another on there mate troll deep with a big pike replicant line through see if it will produce a big girl

how do you find the motor being on the side? is trolling comfortable? im planning to make a simillar setup, i just got sg hr170 , i also have minn kota 45 and same intex bracket fom my old sib.
Found no real issues to be honest, unfortunately it has to be done if its a manually driven engine.
You will move at a slight angle but not much. Trolling can only really be done with one rod anyway
That must have been tough going Simon,if the weather man says its going to be rough is there any way you could attach a brolly to the belly boat. I think you might have hit onto something there mate, maybe everyone else knows that the place has been heavily poached (im assuming by our EU friends) so the lake has had the time to regenerate itself. And so close to home 🏠. Hopefully you managed to warm up soon enough and don't suffer to badly. Beautiful rainbow 🌈 to top it off. Well done sir 👍👍

It's doing about 2mph in full speed
