Thanks for doing the review. As a fly fisher, the "stripping tray" did concern me - clever fix with the zip ties. I'll wait to see what that prototype looks like before making a call.
You’re right to wait, from the first echos I got of the new float tube, I think Decathlon are going to release a beast of a float tube (and at a really good price compare to the competition)
Totally agree with you Norbert, for 190 euros you can't hope have better on the market actually. Once seated, I found that you tend to slide forward a bit (I don't have a big belly though!) However i just back five full days 0800 am / 0630 pm on an english big lake without any problems : no back pain ( it's the most important it's seems for me) As you said, the apron moves too far downwards when fixed and your idea of attaching it with zip is very welcome ! Seriously a good deal for the price ! Only regret for me and has nothing to do with the float tube FLTB5...It's the fishing rules in England...Float tube is prohibited almost everywhere so i say clearly : Go fishing in Ireland, at norbert Renaud indeed ! , and long live Ireland !!
Thank you for the review! Great product indeed. But, do you have any information on the Amtrac Fishing Float Tubes? French are great at doing Float Tubes, and they are the same price or even cheaper. They look really good and I would like to know if you had any insight on them. Specially the 140 which I think could be compared to the Decathlon one. Thank you and best regards!
Hey Nino, thank you.Unfortunately i do not have any experience or know any one that have tried that brand...Hopefully someone will leave a comment to help you out ;)
Thank you Razor, there will be more update on the new float tube in may, radio silent until then. My guess is that it could be released for this summer. As soon as i have news i will post them here and on my Instagram.
Thank you ! I am not sure the exact date when the new one will be released on the market. My guess is sometime in 2023. Normally I should get an early exclusive release one to test and show you guys this month.
I will make one on the new tube coming from Decathlon. As I think I will be able to glue pads on it . This model ( fltb5) you can’t glue on attachments, best bet is to get a system ready made for tubes that you can strap to it .
Thank you, yes a new store in Ireland is good news. If it’s your first tube and you’re on a budget this one is very hard to beat, very light , comfy tube with a great after sale care. If you fish a lot from a tube and want to splash more money there’s a few options to go to.
Thank you Kuba, the outer layer of the tube is textile and not Pvc, I think it would be difficult to glue on some oar on it… wait until I receive the new one coming from Decathlon , that one looks more promising.

Still waiting for your Irish coffee receipe review dude ! good and honest review, i do agree with you ! honestly for the price , this is the best combo quality/customer service you can find on the market, and by far ! For heavy weights (over 95 kg), give it a try before you buy it, depending of your morphology...
This review was exactly what i was looking for when searching up this model. Thanks a lot!!
Thank you!
Perfect review, exactly what I wanted. Thank you for your time.

I've been using it for 2 years as well. That's all you need if you don't go fishing every day. Thanks for your review.
Thank you ! Yes definitely a good descent tube for the money .

Do you think, I can buy new prototype this year ?

Could you make a video on how you have your fish finder mounted and set up?

Is it good for saltwater?
Pretty sure it’ll be ok, as long as you give it a good rinse with fresh water after. Those zippers for the bladder won’t like the salt
Can this float tube hold someone over 200 pounds ?
They are rated for a max amount of 130kgs or 280 ish lbs , that’s including angler and gear ..
can you add an outboard?
Not an outboard, but there’s an electric engine coming soon from Decathlon for float tube.
A film about your head and a boat in the garden... but it doesnt swimm at all...🤷♂️
